    Very underrated martial arts channel. Can you do an arm bar tutorial? I've been waiting for it since the double leg takedown tutorial video.

    • @EffectiveMartialArts
      @EffectiveMartialArts  6 лет назад +1

      Hey, thanks for the comment and suggestion, Chris Johnson. Indeed, armbar tutorial is on the list for 2018, gonna take our time to make a great one. Meantime, I would suggest you do a search for "tristar armbar", Firas Zahabi has some great content available now on RUclips. Hope this helps, and thanks again for watching :)

      That's great. I've watched Firas Zahabi before but not his arm bar tutorial. I'll definitely check that out. By the way do you plan to post any workout videos for fighters or just MMA Tutorials?

      @EffectiveMartialArts  6 лет назад +1

      We've still got a lot of content to cover in terms of technique tutorials, but yes, eventually we plan to get into fitness, nutrition and other related subjects.

    Great video! I like the movement of your legs when you punch,it gives you more control to the strikes, just like in muay chaiya ( traditional muay thai). Do you teach like a mixture of styles, whatever works in a real situation?

    • @EffectiveMartialArts
      @EffectiveMartialArts  5 лет назад +1

      Thanks, Alex! Indeed, EMA is a unique curriculum composed of techniques inspired from Boxing, Muay Thai, Wrestling, Judo and BJJ, with some influence from Kung Fu and Krav Maga. Like you said, whatever works, but the key is structure to learn optimally. Hope this helps. - Patrick

      Thanks for your comment, Stkrdknmibalz. We will cover that in more detail in the future, but meantime we did already address that aspect a bit in our basic Side Kick video; check it out here: ruclips.net/video/qchpf3drLfU/видео.html.

    Which knuckles do you use for striking?

    • @EffectiveMartialArts
      @EffectiveMartialArts  2 года назад +1

      The middle finger knuckle, predominantly. The others will inevitably make contact also though. Check this video for more details!

      Hey Abhinav, thanks for your comment. EMA is a unique curriculum composed of techniques inspired from Boxing, Muay Thai, Wrestling, Judo and BJJ, with some influence from Kung Fu and Krav Maga. We did do a tutorial on the Double Leg Takedown: ruclips.net/video/Jsjv86Llwp0/видео.html and how to kick: ruclips.net/video/2e7HM8-GXwU/видео.html. It's not Taekwondo per say, but similar. Hope this helps! - Patrick

    Why not go straight to the side?

    • @EffectiveMartialArts
      @EffectiveMartialArts  6 лет назад

      Good question, anime Girl. Indeed there will be instances where you will go straight to the side, specifically when your opponent does the same. The angle step is used to create an angle on a stationary opponent. Hope this helps! - Patrick
