Sama, you are such an inspiration. I'm so glad that you do these videos. A master's in non-profit work sounds right up your alley. Anything you touch is going to be fabulous and better for having you in it. Just follow your heart...what do you love the most that is the most realistic for where you are with your health? You'd be a fantastic public speaker. Thank you for sharing all of this with us.
Hi Sama,Congats on getting your degree. You inspire me with your videos.I thought I might keep you up with the news.Well Lucy has got the all clear from the vets so no operation.I been feeding her antibiotics as she had tear ducts blocked and an abscess on her third eye lid.but it has all healed.I made a short video last week.lol tamsin cornwall england uk
@TheLaughingOut Thank you for sharing your story with me, and for making your objectives known here among the EDS community. You're an excellent thinker and speaker, I'm glad to hear you're in uni studies. Ain't no mountain high enough.
I know that this is an older video, but I had to tell you that I'm actually sitting here in tears, because this is the first I've *really* realized I can have a life again, even if it's different from the old one. Therapists and my husband can say that all they want, but neither of them have a clue what it's like actually going through it. I'm doing my thesis soon and want to go for my PhD, maybe it isn't a dream. Thank you for the inspiration and encouragement, I really needed it.
@LynnRolyko Hi Lynn, Thank you! And likewise, you certainly keep me curious and lighthearted! It's always a pleasure to know you've been by, you are so encouraging and generous that I can't help but keep going.
I miss u soooo much!! challenge: I am a lot more into my church community..I am doing theatre again! Um..The challenge now is (even tho my faith is huge) to not get frustrated and keep helping people. People with rare diseases or just the people around me who need some support. A bigger challege is to keep my boyfriend with high hope. I am getting to the unreal feeling but a very real and unfortunate truth that my new boyfriend has EDS.
@Winkfield Ha, thanks! I think that's true, because I don't give up until I'm sufficiently good at something. It's fun to get into things I know I'll never be perfect at doing, but now it's a matter of finding balance with the rest of life. Balance is a tough one, eh?
You're a pretty great guy you know that? I don't have EDS, but I do have a disability that impairs my ability to walk and do things involving my legs and it's impacted my life in a huge way. Some terrible, I miss running too, but some not terrible, I'm going to university now. Taking psychology and sociology. That's something that probably wouldn't have happened without this happening. I hope to go all the way to my PhD.
@vivisonga1111 I miss you too! I'm glad to hear from you! We all get hit with something eventually, he'll get through... especially with you in his corner!
@BeTheLaugh Yeah, but yours is punching you in the face and you're not seeing it. Different story! ;) Thanks for all you do in this community, and in my life.
Hang in there man, keep up the videos and keep us up with your drive and determination! Whatever you choose, you will be damn good at it.
Love watching your videos! :)
