Like many manufactures videos, this is more happy talk with out really explaining things like: how to remove the tray (more detail and slower), show a dirty housing and explain how to clean it. This video didn't even touch on cleaning the fan housings which require cleaning.
The fact that this company will not answer “how to clean the fans” is troubling. It seems to be a red flag. I will be purchasing a new professional style vent hood soon, but since this company does not want to answer obvious questions from customers, it will definitely not be the Vent A Hood brand!
Ok.. but what about the little blower fans ? Mine are covered with grease ? Can you tell me.. do I need to throw the power off to take those off ( as some sites suggest with an Allen wrench ) ? The rest of the housing is not as dirty .
My blower housing does not have the two holes for the grease to drip through. The grease just sits in the bottom of the housing. Anyone know the reason for this?
I was cleaning the inside of my vent a hood, particularly the area where the lights and switches are, more specifically, the right hand light. I sprayed the area with a degreaser and now neither the lights or the fan will turn on. Any thoughts? Also, where would I find the model number of my system?
Easy Peasy. Would be helpful if you could answer the questions your customers have in comments. I didn't get a manual with the purchase so will check your website. I always prefer a written manual so I can take notes and not have to go online each time.
Hello, we always answer customers questions with very little delay. It is, however, more convenient if those questions are emailed to the customer_service@ventahood.com email account to assist by not showing the customers home address, etc. We will need your address, the model or a serial number of the unit, and potentially we may need pictures and dimensions to ensure we are supplying to your the correct document. Thank you, -
What happens if the fans are really loud? What can be done to reduce the noise ? Thanks
How do you back out the 1/8" hex set screw if it won't budge, counterclockwise, of course, even with Liquid wrench penetrant?

Not exactly cutting edge 😂
Yes. But how do you remove and clean the blower wheel?
