I had a man install my vents hood and as soon as it started raining one day later, I could hear raindrops inside the vents hood. What to do?

I had the same issue with my Ventahood. Which I love and have nothing but great things to say about. When my Ventahood was installed by my contractor they cut a hole in my new roof after it was installed and did not properly seal around it. You could hear the water coming down the vent everytime it rained. Call a roofer to reinstall the roofing around the vent. They redid about 1 foot all around the vent on the roof. It's been two years and it has not leaked since. Make sure they don't just try to seal it because we did that and the sun wears that down and a year later it will leak again. Good luck and I hope this helps.

@@lw8554 thank you for commenting. I had my roofer come and he replaced the shingles and vent all around the vent and i am so happy.

One of the worst hood fan I ever had. Have the 600 cfm model which means double magic lungs. It does a very bad job sucking the smoke from my kitchen when searing a steak. My smoke alarm turns on each time. When cooking using the front stove burner, you can see that the smoke hits the control knobs and light. The suction is so weak that it cant pull the smoke towards the fan. Cleaning is a nightmare too. Too many parts. Magic lungs collects all grease on the blade and does not redirect the grease into the housing as claimed (maybe 20%). Yes, there is grease but not much. Once the blades are covered in grease, you can imagine how much of the 600cfm is left....you can say then you got smoker lungs. Drip tray is also a joke. Majority of grease collects outside the catch area ( elevated flanges) that suppose to prevent the grease from dripping onto your cooktop. Note that the led light used on the fan is a special design and cant be purchased from your hardware store. Each replacement light cost about $50 dollars! I see many design flaws after owning one. I am a mechanical design engineer and usually does tons of research before buying any product. Unfortunately i couldn't find much test data on this fan, which i know now why. Good marketing, which got me convince to buy one. Will try to replace it as soon as possible. But for people who are just boiling water and fry an egg, this is the fan for you.

I have the same model and I can grill a brisket on my griddle and it pulls the smoke out like a champ. I have a 36” Wolf Stove with middle griddle. I would suggest that you install an air replacement unit to maximize your ventilation. The ARU stabilizes the pressure in your house or kitchen by replacing the air being exhausted. Without it your hood (any hood) will not work properly.
