What is energy gain of Aniroid barometer so it's turned its needle If we use one lakh unit of barometer then will it's combined energy turned a turbine ?and how much energy it possesses
I don't know how this helps to dimension a bolt for real situations. There is nothing explained regarding the amount of force to apply on the bolt to keep it below the Rp0,2. Nothing about the friction which is really important imo. I'm looking for a good explanation based upon VDI 2230.
A bolt has a shank (the unthreaded part) and a screw has no shank. In his example the "bolts" have very small shanks which is not ideal as the shear plane is going through the threaded section of the "bolt". It is always good practice to load bolts in shear through their shank not their thread.
Absolute best. Hats off to clarity, being point and knowledge.
super practical and quick. i used this a few times at work.
As far as I know the third failure mode is called "bearing" and allowable is Bearing Ultimate Stress (Fbu).
Best video out there on the topic. Very helpful thank you :)
tearing refers to shear stress...the failure mode he is referring to is a "net section" failure which is a normal stress or tensile stress.
The best explanation I ever heard. Thanks professor ❤
muchas gracias from dominican Rep.
very good need more in design material please
Thank you for the video. Well done.
Very well presented and easy to listen
all the lectures r very important to me
Really good explanation!
Need more tutorial like that ......soon plz
Thank you!
Very good.
very good tks
Who's doing your camera work now Tim? I remember when you where doing these on screen capture.
What would the requirements in general be for the head of the bolt to fail and come off?
thank u sir
Where can I find a practical example ?

perfect analsyis
sir can we have more lectures on machine design of yours ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, plz sir upload it if u have .............
Sir I need a tutorial on combined stress distortion energy theory(tresca) von mises and mohr cycle
I would love to know professors name and name of the university where he conducts classes
3:13, should be equal sign instead of minus sign. I know what you said corrected yourself but just want to make sure everyone is on the same page :)

@@karthikgupta have you found any? this time im looking for the same
Please tell me what is the difference between bolt and screw.?
