Finally got myself the Tolos 2.0 around a month ago and been loving them for parkour. I agree with your statement with transitioning slowly to barefoot shoes, especially if you are doing plyometrics or parkour. The impact would be too much if you are landing on concrete or dropping from high places. But it's well worth to get use to it, because your foot will be able to take a lot more impact if you trained well enough. Keep doing what your doing bro 👊
Great video man! My brother and I have just made a brand new casual barefoot shoe that we would love to chat with you about. Will be coming to market in the next couple months.
New subscriber to the channel. I had stashed a pair of nb minimus 10v1. in the closet a few years ago. Recently, I did a strength training session with them. Even though they are trail runners. Wow, i love it. Discontinued, of course. The vibram really grips the gym floor. 4mm drop, and wide width. Super light. Any suggestions as to what might be similar? Thanks!
Loaded question - there a lot of variables can influence this and "how much" different feet can gain. In general, though, yes - exposing your arches to different stressors can be beneficial for sure and barefoot shoes can help with this. I would just keep in mind that it's not as black & white as some of these barefoot shoe influencers make it seem.
Great stuff! I'm in my 50s and just now trying to slowly transition to barefoot shoes. I've been checking out many of your videos and appreciate all the great info. I'll probably go with a pair of Lems initially and progress gradually. Liked, subscribed.
Hi Jake! Thanks for the awesome guidance! Love your video as always. What brand shoes is at the mark of 6:20? The white with black accent? I like the look. Thank you in advance.

Hmm...you could explore the Merrell Vapor Glove 7, it's a 0mm drop, but should replicate that type of shoe!
Jake have you tried the func barefoot shoes and are they in cue to be reviewed?
I haven't! Can add them to my ongoing list, though!
Is it true that barefoot shoes help flat feet regain arch support?
