OMG this showed up in my recommended and I totally freaked out, thank you so much for playing, and I really really appreciate the honest feedback, I'll be sure to take them all into account in my future works! tbh I was a little hesitant adding in gorey scenes, since I didn't know how receptive players would be to it, but it looks like people enjoyed it overall so I'll probably be doing more of that in the future
as for the secret ending route, the part that addresses manly's gaming history is a little easter egg variation that shows up if the system user's name is "manlybadasshero", but all the other content in the secret ending is basically the same for any player who deletes the safety key!
Awesome game. Cro had me second guessing what could happen several times too so well done on that!

OMG it's the creator themself! Just wanna say I really enjoyed both of your games that Manly played. Cro in particular is a very enigmatic character and I especially liked the art style you have going on! This one def surprised me more with the twist. Although I've seen a handful of games implementing this meta trope with the antag already, it still gets me every time lol. Thank you for making this, and I'm very much looking forward for the next part (really curious to know about the "incident" mentioned here)!

Cro is a pretty refreshing take on the yandere characterization. He’s startling well-adjusted and maintains a rather good façade of a normal person until you get a glimpse of the sheer madness behind those eyes.
That, and he’s a _smart_ yandere. Not saying yandere characters are dumb, perse (far from it), but it’s obvious that he’s incredibly perceptive, cautious and knows how to keep his insane love under wraps well enough that most people wouldn’t immediately be able to tell (if Missing is anything to go by).
That, and if Cro is genuinely supernatural, then Lee is in for a world of trouble. A yandere with power is a terrifying AF.
I disagree, Cro is nothing but a generic stereotype of cute outside and crazy inside yandere love interest. He also isn't really smart as he acts by impulse (killing the couple) and makes a lot of mistakes such as saying your name without you telling him, him predicting your drink in a very small span of time and failing to drug your tea without anyone noticing. I understand it is for foreshadow but I think it should be more subtle. Of course this doesn't stop me from loving him, I'm such a loser sucker for these types of insane characters but I genuinely believe that objectively he's not that great. In fact I think Missing portrayed him better because it showed him being more cautious, he tried to let you go to reduce the liabilities, he made you think he fell for your trap but he actually didn't and also acted really normal in general, showing that he had planned beforehand possible excuses like the bloody gloves being because of hunting yet still looking creepy asf.
But again, I'm still mad crazy for him even if I feel he's really flawed, already switched my pfp to him in my social media.

@@MarineSelena I entirely agree, and I still love Cro. (Though I prefer his portrayal in Missing better.) I just wanted to add something, and this may be a stretch so take it with a grain of salt. But I kind of just chalked up his more impulsive actions in this game to excitement/nerves with seeing who he's been wanting for probably years. (A decade or something if I remember correctly?) Would probably make you act a little bit out of character. Just my interpretation though.

The fact that the creator made sure to write you in as a character is lovely to learn. The man who breaks reality.
Okay, but Lee’s Mom had to know about him and this risks that came with sending her back. She also knew how remote the place was and she didn’t send anyone to guard her just in case something happened.
Either she forgot (less likely), she didn't know (considering Lee herself doesn't remember), or she simply doesn't care what happens to Lee.
But I do have another theory. Since Cro clearly isn't human, there is the possibility that she tried to tell her mother and father about Cro, but the mother didn't believe her, since it seems like she has enough power to dig into it and search for Cro's info, but never found anything, maybe thinking Lee was just imagining things... A shot in the dark but I think it's a possibility

I will admit I kinda prefered the "spectator" thing that was going on in MISSING, I think it was really fresh that you weren't the yandere nor the victim. I also think Cro was way more scarier in there as he seemed so normal it was creepy since we really didn't know if he was actually evil or not or if the friend was alive, it had us in edge. Here it's more obvious. The game does look dope though, characters and artsyle are really good, so I'll totally be down for the next game the creator plans to make, hopefully it will end up surpassing my expectations! :)

Her name, her drink order, the fact that she's coming "back" to the town... I noticed several of those little fridge horror moments and I liked that Lee didn't. It doesn't fling it in your face, but instead lets the unease build.

I've gotta say, Manly's voice acting performance is incredible! It's insane how natural you make the threat sound. You're not forcing your voice, and with that tone of threat, it's truly terrifying. Someone NEEDS to get this man into full on voice acting
it'd be great if he could play paranormasight, there'd be a variety of charas for him to voice there! (tho nicoB's playthrough of it was quite good as well, i'd love to see a collab one day but most likely not happening)

Honestly I really like how, during the fourth wall break, instead of being interested in the player Cro just likes Lee. So he severs your connection with them, which is how I'm assuming we get to the next game. Along with the game Missing, it just feels refreshing and nice in the more subtle ways.
@@famtheevilcat7447 I'm pretty sure it's a prequel. He mentions Manly playing the previous game because that was the first game he played, not the first in the timeline. Otherwise, I'm not sure why the Lee would even be missing in the first place, or why Cro would be a suspect.

Can’t wait for Cro to enter the Indie Horror community to recruit the most terrifying and difficult horror icons to stop Manly from saving poor Lee. 7:59 ~ 8:14 --> his smile falls when the text reads 'i'll just offer to pay a part of the bill' and at 8:14, when Lee voices it, he just. changes his mind. immediately. even though he wasn't sold on the idea earlier

22:11 --> the couple is gone, which MIGHT NOT seem interesting, but in ending 3, we know Cro killed the girlfriend's boyfriend cause he saw Cro putting powder in Lee's drink, then turned boyfriend INTO a drink, so that could've possibly happened in ending 2's route as well, which could be why at 21:21 he heads to the dining room (where boyfriend will become drink) and why the couple disappeared
22:25 ~ 22:46 --> although Lee drank a caffeinated drink, she still felt tired enough to be UNABLE TO MOVE HER LIMBS and even fell asleep in a stranger's embrace, thus suggesting that she was drugged. in addition, Cro removed his gloves but didn't exhibit any visible powers
23:57 ~ 24:54 --> Cro absolutely, 100% knew Lee before in order to speak like this. also, the 'promise' here could be the reason why he looked so crazed in ending 1 when we did the pinkie promise?
26:21 --> Lee starts feeling uneasy as soon as the missing safety key option is chosen. could've just gone with 'you took the cup from Cro and set it down to cool' but NO, had to feel uneasy huh? maybe safety key was also forcing Lee to feel more at ease around him - possibly why in the first two endings she felt so relaxed 'like [i] could be [my]self' around him and also why she just. fell asleep in his arms in ending 2, since she should've fought slightly against sleeping with a stranger

25:01 ~25:19 --> who is this?? obviously, after ending 3, upon trying to replay the game, Cro states that we 'weren't supposed to see that'. this means that this cannot be Cro, cause why would he give the player a chance to see something he wants to keep hidden?
The last point, it could be the player musing to themselves, or it could be the creator dropping hints. We know from the 3rd ending that they canonically exist in-game, after all.

The delivery of all the words in the scene were Cro was forcing the girlfriend to drink her lover was phenomenal. The complete lack of emotion in Cro's words was just... Chilling.

Cro is so freaky in the 2nd and secret endings, but the 1st ending adds a whole other level to it. He someone removed the effect of the drug on Lee, so easily too. It raises several questions _and_ concerns.
I love how manly gives Cro a softer and more feminine voice than Lee, who essentially gets his normal dude voice

Ooh, this was great! I quite liked that Missing game, good to see more from this developer and their memorable Cro. He's as creepy as ever, just charming enough to make it believable that people would missing the warning signs before it's too late. I also deeply appreciate that special segment at the end, I always love seeing Manly get a nod. This was even better than I was expecting, can't wait to see what they do next.

Honestly the yandere concept is just so strange and scary to me, the word itself refers to someone simply being lovestruck and yet in anime it is showcased as someone developing a harmful obsession towards the person they love.
Technically, the word translates to love sickness, or “sick love” to be more precise. Hence, the Japanese portmanteau refers to crazy lover characters.
It's a very problematic trope, to put it lightly...
I think "yan" means insane, while "dere" is lovestruck. So yeah, nothing's wrong with the wording, if you want to refer to someone simply being lovestruck you'd say "deredere" (デレデレ)
I think obsession and love are mutually exclusive. Obsession is an extreme form of infatuation (being extremely lovestruck). Infatuation may develop into love. So the term fits. A yandere's feelings didn't develop into a mature love.

There is something i noticed...If you look at the girl in the poster of missing you will notice that she looks shockingly similar to lee here. So i think that this crow actually locked her somewhere. I absolutely looooved the secret MBH ending! It’s so well played! Actually made me freak out a little bit 😱 I really liked the game in general but I have to admit that the secret ending was a whole cherry bottle on the sundae! Overall well done! Is it me or do I just hear Komaeda’s voice when reading Cro’s lines. Bottom line, I’ve seen this character’s face in thumbnails before but never checked it out. I thought he was adorable and had a general assumption of what he’d be like. But after watching, his façade IS EVEN CUTER!! And the meta twist was a pleasant surprise. Kinda reminds me of Ogre from the rpg horrors. Loved it, Cro is best yandere game boy 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 Thanks for playing Manly! ☺️
