It's sad that people make you feel that you need to explain your time. Your channel is about you shopping and finding treasures to resell. People are just dumb! I've watched your channel for a few years now, and I am so grateful that you take the time to document and share with us what you do to support your family. Most humans are not so generous with their time. You are very much appreciated!!!
I dont think anyone specifically demanded or asked her to account for her time. It was probably just addressing a generalization of how some might have an opinion of reselling not being an actual labor intensive job.
Hi Dani it hurts when you seem so hurt by the critics 😩 We love you so ❤ They should not take up more space in your heart than we do 😊 Also, whenever I try to watch someone new (except for George, Laura, Dawn, Tiffany) they just pick up a piece and say that’s pretty…pick up another piece and say that’s pretty. Gagh! Danni would turn it over, tell us who it is, tell us if it’s vintage or contemporary, tell us what she knows about it lol. I learn so much from you and I hope the unhappy people don’t burn you out ❤🙏
My grandmother used to do her laundry in a large copper vessel over a fire to heat the water, and the washing was taken out of the boiling water with tongs just like those, and put through the hand turned mangle. When you showed those, it was very nostalgic for me, but I wouldn't want to go back to doing laundry that way😆
Mirror Tray Frame 17:14 It could be used when you are making listings, for smalls. Have it on its side, like you have it above, put the smaller items in front of it. That way people can view the back of the item & the front at the same time. :~)
@9:13 the southwest piece might be a quillow. If it has a big open square in the center of one end, it us designed to fold into the pocket to become a pillow, then unfold if you want a blanket. When i was 17 i started an in-home daycare with my Mom. We made each child there own Quillow for naps. Using fabrics that they would like, colors, characters etc. And their first name was embroidered in one corner.
You can tell Danni was hurt terribly along the road-she is kind and shared so much-she makes my day -I’m a Bills fan loved to see Carrie wearing our team gear-loved it!! Go Bills!!
At 36:31 clear on bottom rack I kept trying to zoom in but the light reflecting I couldn't tell for sure but looked like a Longaberger brown square serving tray platter. They made pottery in that dark brown color too. I rewinded 20 times but maybe it was maroon in color lol . I couldn't say for sure because of the light reflecting off of it.
Hi Danni. When we were driving from New Jersey to go and live in California in 1963 we stopped at little America it was a really nice place, a restaurant. A lot of people were there it was kind of in the middle of nothing! I was only 12 years old so I don’t remember that much except for the gift shop and the restaurant! Brought back happy memories!
At 33:33 those low sherbet or champagne glasses Needle Etched, might be Fostoria, early Fostoria had a lot of those, for a nice set of 4, maybe get about 30 dollars plus shipping.
I bought a Homco mushroom canister because my mom had it when I was a kid. It was super dirty and after I cleaned it I found a huge crack. I filled the crack, added some styrofoam , moss and then glued several small mushroom figurines . Repurpose.. I was very upset with the crack
You just keep being you, I enjoy the way you explain the things you pick up. I like having the knowledge about things that I know little about. So carry on!😂❤❤❤
Minute 30:40 the brown mug. Tallinn is the capital of Estonia a x-soviet union country. It’s in Europe. They have a mediaeval vibe in their souvenirs. I was there just last month.
I adore you! And I love ,love ,❤love ,🥰love ,💕love your channel!!! You are a wonderful animal, mommy. What did the puppy dog do to be sent to her room? 🐶She looks so sad in the cage. She wanted to be with you , all pets want to be with their mommies . One thing is for sure, you are great at everything you do!!!!!!! Thank you for letting us all be a part of your life in a small way and we love you!💕❤️💕♥️🌹🙏🌺!
@@rainbo5250 i asked myself the same question about the puppy i think we should never put any animal in cages that’s why I don’t have birds i hate cages
Hi Danni, the glass tray would look wonderful on it's side with small plants reflected in the large mirror at the back, or with the tray in the same position with different height blown glass pieces reflected. Lesley, Victoria, BC. Canada.
A while ago you mentioned seeing cigar boxes. I paint on them and Rachel might like to do the same thing . Mine sell in galleries for $35 - 50...depending on the size. I was going to include a photo, but it isn't an option..
Well I can't tell you how much I appreciate your time and sharing of your knowledge and people do not understand that this is work then they can just find another Channel because I have learned so much from you just in the last week or so I have been down with my surgery you are extremely helpful you are extremely sweet and you are way too much fun to watch love you keep doing you and ignore the haters
20:14 My Mum had some wooden tongs like that for the laundry. She would use them to take clothes etc out of a soaking bucket. I don't know if they were designed for that use originally or that is just what she used them for . They certainty got a lot of use for clothes and especially for our horse rugs. Poor Mum lol 😊
A paste mixture of dawn dish soap, baking soda and peroxide, tap into the material with a toothbrush, do not scrub, let set for 30 minutes then rinse or throw in washer. Takes out most stains even if set in material after the dryer.
About forgetting what day it is, I’ve been sick for five days now and today I really had no clue what day it was by then it was early evening. Without my phone I still wouldn’t know the day.😊
My mother had those wooden tongs (back in the 50s) and I have them now. She used them to stir clothes that were soaking in hot water or for getting clothes out of a top-loading washer.I am in the UK
Thankyou for sharing. I HAVE BEEN WATCHING YOUR Videos for several years. I have learned so much from you. I just wish I could drive to vagus, but it would be along drive from jacksonville fl. I spent a week in highpoint NC. They get no discounts. Went to 5 thrift stores but didn't get alot. Very disappointed. Keep sharing
Terrific haul!! Love the mirrored tray, the Masonic glasses ( my grandfather was a Mason,) the glass turtle and all that you got! Like you if something I see excites me, I buy it whether I have no place to put it or not.😅 I'm an artist and appreciate others'art but as you said, it has to speak to you. Art creates feelings -- you either like it or not.❤
The bisquit jar was not in its original box, i would have liked to seen if it was a signed peice. They look beautiful in bathrooms with bath salts or soaps.
Those are laundry tongs. Before wringer washers you had to reach into the scalding hot water to pull out the clothes, this kept you from burning your hands. They look like the real thing to me. Cool find!
The cardinal ceramic lampshades you are hoping to find bases for are generally used to slide down over votive candles sitting on candlesticks. They are not usually used on a plate base. These also work well sitting on top of 3” to 4” LED candles to dd a decorative or holiday touch.
Is that lovely little quilt a “quillow”? It’s a quilt designed to be folded up a little like origami style and becomes a pillow. 😊😊I have a green one with ducks on it, and it’s so handy 🩵🧡🩵😊
I think your miniature flower stand was originally a music box like the other pieces; it seemed to have an empty space underneath. But turning it into a fairy garden item is a wonderful way to repurpose it---I love it! Please tell Rachel I'm happy she had the opportunity (and bravery) to hold the macaws. They are such beautiful birds. Have a great day 🙂💞
If you can still find the tequila promo piece you could easily repair the missing cup. Little metal cups like that are available from art stores…they are used for linseed oil. Lather the cup, glue it to the place it belongs on the antler (probably with e-6000 or JB Weld) and have it paint matched.
I saw two listings on line for one of those wood things with the spindles. Both listings say they are for holding a kerosene lamp. Says they can sit on a table or countertop, or can be mounted on a wall. I think the spindles are there to keep the lamp from falling off.
The shades go on ANY large jar candle or Mason jar with candle in them. The shades are sold separately and one would just buy a candle jar like Yankee Candle.
Danni I can't wait for your video,s everyday I live in Ireland and our Charity shops are nearly all retail.prices I look at you and sometimes you pick up great value .also PickerRd. Are my other favourite s ❤❤❤❤❤
Alot of Paparazzi dealers around my area are selling out their inventory ar real low prices I've seen them having yard sales selling it for 2 for $5.00 , 2.50 or 2.00 each pc and one lady was selling hers for $1.00 each. My grandaughter was selling it and to help her out i bought a lot. She quit selling it cause the market was flooded with it and no one was buying anymore.

It’s officially made for kerosene oil lamps so you can have them up on the wall instead of on the table. The spindles are decorative and keeps the lamp from being touched or fall off.
I’m wondering if the blanket is one that can be folded and tucked into a sewn in pocket to make a pillow. They are way cool for decorating or simply storing of said blanket

My mum used a twin tub machine, wooden tongs were used to transfer the hot clothes from washer to spinner bit...
Those poor ladies must have felt like they won the lottery. When washing machines came out, bless them
they are tongs for taking you wet washing out of the hot water, they were used before automatic washing machines. We had some in the 60s.
My mum used a wooden stick as we had no tongs like that

Just prior to the rotating tray....that wooden object was a very well made mitre box for cutting mitred corners. Very handy for handy gals! LOL
The cardinal candle lamp shade just sits on top of Yankee large jar candles. Very nice.
The wooden thing (12:15 on vid) is a homemade soap cutter. Comp around $20
44:29 tea bag holders, looks like UK souvenir.
I bought a Homco mushroom canister because my mom had it when I was a kid. It was super dirty and after I cleaned it I found a huge crack. I filled the crack, added some styrofoam , moss and then glued several small mushroom figurines . Repurpose.. I was very upset with the crack
I would say tongs getting laundry out of tub or wringer washer
I just can’t understand how or why GW or any thrift store would put out broken or cracked merchandise on the shelf.

yes I do same on calendar

I wonder if that quilt you picked up was a Quillow? You fold the blanket part into thirds and tuck it into the stitched part to make a pillow.
The weird wood piece with the measures is a miter box - made for cutting straight lines or angles on wood with a saw.
It's not a mitre box, its for cutting a soap block into bars.
Hi l make soap and Deb is correct it’s used to cut home made bars of soap.
