@@cowel8734 That voice is a big give away.
I've never seen it in color, that's great. To me it makes them more real life,or closes the gap of time.
This is common society 2023
I guess Schlitzie mutter with smile "Well done ,Well done"
Ive never seen this movie, but I heard and read about it. Now I clearyl see the connection between this and American Horror Storys season 4.
Seeing this movie colorized brings it to full glory like everything that gets colorized these days. Its amazing! Back then it was an expensive work and now basically everyone can do it.
Great job! ❤
How had I never heard of this movie? It looks amazing. I have to say though, the bar on freaks has been raised since 1932.
Interesting to see this amazing film in colour. You did a fantastic job on it 👍
I had the pleasure of knowing schlitzie, on the old craft shows. And then on and off on numerous shows.
The sword swallower, and tattooed men were wantabe freaks. I should know I had full body suit in 1968.
I went straight in the 70s, but every once in a while I catch myself remembering the days of being "with it".
I do not miss that life, but would not ever give up the experiences and education I received on it.
Now with all my tattoos, I simply look like every other idiot out there....
This specifically must have inspired the creators of Red Dead Redemption 2, because of the crashed wagon, and that one person looks very much like Bertram or whatever his name was!
yes thought the same hahaha.
This mobile is a masterpiece and a beautyful history
GREAT SHOW
this movie could never happen today. great coloring
I think it could but would have a different meaning to it as back then the are laughed at for being freaks and most likely treated poorly but I think these are some really amazing people with more skill than most today. Would work as a story about them or even their gifts
@@Budbrothers420 in it’s time the film was very controversial, these people were literally not thought of as human, they were seen by many to be almost evil and frightening. I think the film did a good job of really humanising them, showing how they cope with their differences and just want to lead ordinary lives, forced into the commune they live as best they can (ironically some of them earnt very, very large sums of money in their lives). Thankfully we live in more enlightened times so the film takes on a very different meaning today.
@@jonboulton6701 yeah it’s a shame people did these horrible things to them. You could say our upbringing makes our view but I feel like it falls under what people can’t understand or are afraid of wish the world could work together think of what we could achieve
Give it time, if you take your eye off the right for even a moment they would have people back in cages again "exhibited" before their master race.
I find it word that people say this film couldn't happen today, wasn't the thing that made this film so interesting is the fact that it was super controversial when it came out? People are a lot more accepting of those with disabilities now, it would probably go over much better.
This is amazing!
Visionary and experimenter. Genius
This movie is a classic of what goes around, comes around.
Did you happen to do the full movie? This looks amazing!!
Thanks! Unfortunately I don't have the time to do the entire movie. But I will be colourizing more sequences from other movies.
@@RumbleDogPictures Oh I see! Well you did a splendid job with this! And I'd definitely love to see more of these old movies in color! Any chance you take requests?
@@loisannebarin6995 Thank you, I should start a business! Problem is youtube will take down many clips, for example I can't post my colourized Alice in Wonderland scenes. But I'm curious what you had in mind.
I would pay for the entire movie in color
Alice In Wonderland from 1933?! I would love to see the Mock Turtle in Color.
This is amazing, by the way. Not just the color but it also looks so cleaned up, too.
AHS captured this pretty good especially the character pepper
Also noticed a similarity with the fourth seasons AHS.
absolutely fantastic!
R.I.P. Freaks movie cast people :(
Cool. In the mob of vindictive freaks scene, it looks like the microcephalic person in the mob dressed to look like Schlitzie, is not actually Schlitzie. It is a a relatively normal man dressed to look like Schlitzie. I didn't notice that in the original monochrome version. I'm thinking that it seems likely that maybe the real Schlitzie wasn't easily persuaded to perform in this scene and he may have had difficulty following instructions, so they just substituted someone else.
ترا الفلظ هذا مرعب لو تشوفه كامل
I noticed that too, perhaps that scene was too scary for Slitzie.
Wow this is fantastic!!
In the 1930's this film had audiences horrified. It's easy to see why even 90 years later!
Superb, the attack of the freaks is still terrifying. Especially the dude in the rasta hat crawling along the ground.
Wish I could see the entire movie!

One of the most influential films ever. I love being a “freak”!
your gender dosent make you a freak
The only difference is they didn't choose to be the way they were.
@alanwatts8239 Being trans isn’t exactly a choice.
Narcissistic much?
@@Funeral_Mannequin Yes it is.
Such a great movie!
Never knew there was a colored version
If this movie came out today it would still be way ahead of its time
YOu can sure see the inspiration of this short film on shows like the fourth season of American Horror Story!
A slice of genius.
wow, so this is where AHS got their inspiration from. nice to see this revived!
Freak shows are such a grey area. In one aspect, they were a way to make a spectacle out of a persons disabilities and deformities. In the other aspect, they gave people like this a true profession instead of relegating them to infirmaries and asylums plus a great wage.
That was a 50/50 proposition. Some of these folks were not treated well in the traveling shows. Others as you say did go on to live very rewarding lives.
It was kind of necessary evil
they were not great at all for the people in them, but at the same time, there was simply no better place for them in that society.
