Great video I’m building a 700 now
Thanks brother!
Great video Smitty!!
Thanks brother!
For difficult bushings, a Dremel tool is your friend.
Probably would have worked had i thought of it...lol 😆
Great video again the knowledge you share with the public is amazing god bless you brother
Thank you!
Nice video with care and not speed >
Yes, thanks
Nice seeing it come together! Thank you very much.
Slowly falling into place!
Yessir!
Smitty I want to tell you honestly we couldn't have a better teacher someone that's taking their time to teach us how to do the whole transmission without rushing through anything you're the best take care and be safe.
I'm totally flattered! Thanks so much!
Where do you order your parts from? These vidjeos are going to be a life saver as I'm about to rebuild a 700r4 in my K5 blazer
I get my parts from various suppliers including Amazon, Ebay, Summit Racing and a place called A & Reds out of Kansas City. I'm glad these videos help you!
Coming in late here but what is your process for cleaning the housings?
Usually take them to work and use the parts washer...
Do you happen to know the part# for a new 4L60 GM reverse input housing? Thank you.
Need to know the year, because it makes a difference
@@IrocinZ 1991
@@chukchee The part number is 24245624 for the GM or ACDelco part
If you are replacing a reverse input drum with a small hole and the new one has a larger square hole is that a problem?
Yes. You don't want to interchange those(so I've been taught). There were certain years that the valvebody is different to compensate for the larger hole.
@@IrocinZ I'm working on a TCI unit that doesn't have much time on it and 3/4 burnt up. It was supposed to have a constant pressure valve body on it. I got a New Old Stock valve body from an Impala Super Sport. Do you know if a reverse input with the larger square hole would be compatible with that new valve body?
The identification on the case indicates that it is a 1993
@@michaelalexander2101 Since the case is a 1993, it will accept the large hole Reverse Input housing. If it was a 92, it would be small round hole. You need to make sure that your valvebody and spacer plate match also. The valvebody should have an identification casting number in it also to make sure its compatible with that case. 1993 should still be hydraulic. The aluminum valve bodies WILL NOT work on a 700r4/4L60. They are strictly electronic controlled. The Impala SS should have been a 4L60e from 1994-1996 with an LT1.
@@IrocinZ Thank you, I will check out the valve body further. It may be Impala and not SS.
I will try to see if I can reference what year range it is.
Thank you for your help.
