Wait really??? I'm a youtube premium subscriber so i get youtube music anyway but I mostly listen to MP3s now as it means I'm less dependent on subscriptions. So is there a way to play MP3 files from your phone directly through the Tesla? (I don't have a Tesla, i'm asking for curiosity lol)
Yep, using Bluetooth.

Thank you for this video. Will try again to connect to tesla w/ android. You mentioned at the end about the premium activity. Without the primium activity most what you lose is the camera with android phone can carry and still get most? I thought standard only carries wifi? Be patient, still learning to drive the car smoothly. need my camera hehe

Does youtube music work while driving on Tesla model S?
For those of us with fsd which relies on the tesla mapping, can this somehow coexist?
I have Coolwalk and that makes 1080p not work. Maps goes past the edge and I tried multiple dpi and resolution, but everything is very small. Can barely see the road names on the map.
What android device are you using? Does it also show the + - zoom icons in maps (@ 3:54)? They don't appear in maps on my Galaxy Note 10, nor on my 2021 M3 w/ Teslaa @ 1080p.

Options for AUS where browser is disabled when driving?
The Teslaa app tells me initially that it is region blocked, ie not available in my country. So tried VPN to UK,De,and US. Closest I got was in De from the link, but then told not supported by the device. Damn.
What if you are using Android auto for the first time? How do I set it up? Because it doesn't seem to work. I don't get any picture on the tesla screen (browser)
Using Taslaa with hotspot. Both map and music slows down gps signal. stopping music immediately gets gps signal back.
So after a long time of using this with a few glitches here and there, I am now having a big problem. Suddenly Sirius stopped playing in the car even though it shows as the audio sourse in the bottom left of the screen and also on my phone app it lookes as if it was playing, but no sound. I had recently found that when I load waze there was a mute icon in the center of the screen suddenly (sound symbol with a line through it) and when I pressed that the sound came on. This was annoying to have to load waze to press that to hear the audio even though I wasn't using waze. Now waze will not load on the screen. It says connect to hotspot and run the teslaa app even though the phone shows it IS on hotspot and the teslaa app is up to date AND running. It's as if I am on mute for the sound but I'm not. I cannot get to waze any longer either. I've uninstalled & reinstalled the teslaa app, rebooted the car system, rebooted the phone...not sure what else to try. All I can listen to is terestial radio now...anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

I find the screen refreshes about once every 20 seconds. The app stays running but the screen just goes blank and comes back. Any ideas? Thank you.

Shame on Tesla for making us use such a work around.
This app works well for me. Hotspot auto on/off on entry/exit. Nice that music/radio auto resumes even if don't open the browser.
This is fantastic! Thank you. Question - can teslaa work using Tesla premium connectivity versus phone hotspot? I actually want to use teslaa app for access to Sirius XM on my phone which I have through another account but not on my Tesla. So I'd connect to phone via Bluetooth but then use use the car's connectivity for the data...
If you mean use Tesla connectivity and hotspot together, I'm afraid not, sorry.

All worked expect ...when when it connects to home page. It says welcome andriod auto and nothing works after that.
I have installed the application, it works when the vehicle is stationary, but the application does not work when the vehicle moves, what should I do?
This should work on an ipad too, i dont have a tesla but do have an ipad in my car, i might try this

Does this require the Tesla data plan to use the browser to access the app interface?
I don't think so but can't say for sure as I haven't tried it without it.
Looks like a nifty workaround but seriously if you need to do all this, need to run it in a browser and then not even get pinch zoom functionality, I don't see the majority of people doing this. It's a hack and not a pretty one. One might consider not buying a Tesla if you really want Android Auto

Android Auto doesn't support viewing RUclips videos.

The browser isn't disabled but watching video is.

You are supposed to download on your phone.
If I set 1080p it starts zoomed in browser and I can't zoom out. I have to set 720p to see full screen. There is any fix?
I don't see the + - zoom icons in maps, either on my phone or M3's display. "Zoom map out" and "re-center map" commands zoom all the way out and back in on phone and M3, but I haven't found any intermediate zoom commands.
Ooofff that seemed like a terrible experience. Wish Tesla would fix the basic things that drive us towards this type of solution

You need to go into Tesla WiFi settings and select stay connected in drive.

I tried this app multiple times. It is super laggy, disconnects several times and drives spotify insane.
Awesome, it actually does work quite well, the only problem I've had is that when I run Waze, there is no audible output for some reason. Has anyone experienced this issue? Any solution out there? (Yes, I do have the Sound setting in Waze to On :-) )
Is it just Waze?
Go to media output on your phone and select the audio from your phone.
This is useless in many countries where Tesla has disabled the web browser while driving.
the TesAA app works great.. But the phone gets very hot and it will not charge wireless when TesAA is running, so pretty useless on long roadtrips :(
If only there was and alternative to wireless charging 🤔 /s

Does your wifi disconnect when you drive?
Exactly as the other suggestion. It's likely that you have not configured the car WiFi to remain connected in drive.
The Tesla web browser is disabled many countries when driving.
Tesla stt and nav is much worse then android Features. I am missing Assistent and maps😢

Well I don't really care about using google maps of waze. What I would find useful was if I could use the uber/lyft doordash and instakart apps on it. Or better yet I'd love if I could just listen to youtube clips even if I couldn't watch them on driving. YEAH I know I can do that with the phone but it's a pain while driving.
Hi, I just got my Tesla today and just watched the video. I got it to work but it is 12:26a.m. Do I hvae to go through all of those steps each time I want to use waze?

The hot spot was never shut off from last night in the garage when I tried this. On my phone it says android auto is connected and to check the car's screen but I cannot find it anywhere. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to go to the web page again on the browser? It says need to connect to a wifi. I had the app open.
You need to connect the Tesla to your phone's Wifi Hotspot.

Yeah sometimes it disconnects from the hotspot when you put the car into drive.

I was referring to the Google Maps application.
Yeah Google app has a lot more things that they add to that maps. Google map in the Tesla leaves out certain things.
Android auto is a much better system to use than tmTesla's interface due to Google assistants integration with apps such as youtube music. Literally changes the driving experience and lakes finding songs ext a million times more user friendly and intuitive.
