It works very well for me as I'm a road warrior spending first half of day visiting customers's sites doing sales pitches, taking orders, solving nuances, etc. all by using my Note 8, and going back office later part of the day to prepare proposals, generate orders, sending invoices, etc. again all by using my Note 8 on DexPad with a big screen monitor. Hi George!! Thanks for the feedback!! Great to hear it is put to good use! You are the second person to mention how they have taken advantage of the DeX station.

I'm on the same page. You're right, it's definitely a cool concept but if you already have a pc it would be pointless. I think if samsung focused heavily on power user stuff like making a premium file share system with a secondary focus on analytics monitoring. It's a good start.
yep, they are nice features but at the time of this video the dex station was selling for like $150 .. I know many people have taken advantage of it, but not the average consumer. I actually brought it with me to the hospital a few days ago to watch Netflix and it was not supporting full screen mode ( video quality was very bad) .. ended up just bringing my note book instead to watch Netflix 😁
Love the honest reviews. Not something I can see using myself. Like you said, considering all the items you need, you probably have a computer already and won't reach for this item.
We use ours on our TV with a wireless keyboard + tackpad to play Movies that we'd otherwise have to Cast, and screen casting sucks! The newer Note 9 can use a simple USB-C to HDMI cable but you don't have the convenience of Ethernet and simultaneous charging without getting a weird adapter multi connection cable .. you might as well get a DEX. They're selling on Amazon for about $60-$65.
Hi D ! I agree with you, if you get you get it for that price it may be worth a shot for some people who just want to experience it . I got a lot of feedback from several people who do put a good use to it. Thanks for sharing your experience!!!👍
I got one on the hook for 20$ got a old mouse and keyboard laying around and a 50 inch Samsung TV I don't have a computer the house does but not my own in my room and I don't have cable i watch all my TV except football on my phone but that's probably changing soon too. Main reason i got this is to watch all my movies on my big screen the PC experience is just a bonus to me.
Hey my friend I stumbled across this video cuz I was thinking about buying it I think you should do another video of you revisiting this item cause reading the comments you caught a lot of heat 😬😬
Well I'm going to use mines to bypass tethering restrictions. I totally get what your saying though. I'm a programmer among other things but I was using intellij with the spring framework and I felt as though I constantly needed to be around a fast internet connection in order to work at home. Going back and forth to Starbucks is impractical and I have a note 8 with a very fast connection on the phone but when I tether tmobile penalizes me with slow speed. I cant use intellij. Or do any real programming unless I build locally and test and deploy the next day at the library which Is doable but unpleasant. and yes I could get internet at home but 100 bucks a month and shit I dont need like tv and phone. There are now ide's on android along with wysiwygs so forth and in time android will become a desktop OS I believe this. Completely capable of getting real work done. This is my reasoning in buying this device.
DeX is very practical for business purposes, but not for gaming. I use DeX as my 'road warrior' PC. The DeX station, wireless keyboard & mouse, and 15.5 portable LCD monitor fit is a briefcase. At hotel rooms, I can turn my Note 8 into a highly functional PC to do Word, Excel, & email. THE VIDEO Presenter is a 'novice' at best.
Hi MayitoTek For home use, I suggest using the TV with remote keyboard & mouse, however, for work these are invaluable. I have set these up for roaming staff to use a hotdesk at any location and everything is always secure either in the cloud of on the device they keep with them. One desk, many users. If any of the remote offices are broken into or damaged, our security isn't breached.
I know this video is kinda old, but I have another scenario for you. There are people such as myself that live in areas with no internet or very bad internet, so hooking up to the DeX station or just using Samsung DeX for that matter is the only way to use a computer type interface as DeX is NOT just a blown up version of your phone.
Everyone has a keyboard and mouse lol . If you don't they are cheap . You just need a monitor . Also the screen mirroring is great for many reasons. Plus one of the main advantages is that now everything is on your phone no more files at home! It's all with you , one device is the future!
I don't have internet, but I have unlimited data on my phone. This will benefit me for watching hulu, Netflix and anything else on my tv at home. I used to just chromecast it but my tv likes to kick me out completely and wont reconnect, so a wired connection will solve that problem.
My computer is about 10 years old (problem 1) and is Windows (problem 2). So yes, this will solve those. Will save the next hunk of materials for a desktop from a landfill in the future.
I'm thinking for someone like myself who is in IT and we have heaps of monitors. It'll be useful to have it at my desk. Especially for my mobile games lol. I can get pass the the whole needing an extra mouse and keyboard as I use one set of these for both computers. Adding this is just entering an IP address.
The reason in which I'll decide on buying the Samsung dex its become am not really into system so I have this reading table in my room, with a 32 inches plasma screen so I think its gonna be nice me having a dex station where when ever I'll like to vew my mobile in a bigger screen. I'll like that how much does it cost presently? By the way the video was informative.
hey man i have a question for you.. how would you compare this to nox for mobile gaming on pc? im assuming nox is better considering my pc has a 1080ti and i7 8700k but i honestly dont know if nox uses those things or limits itself to phone capabilities anyhow...
You have no idea what this is meant for, its portable for one meaning you can pop it in your bag with along with a HDMI cable, bluetooth mouse/keyboard and either connect it a TV or take along a portable screen for a 100 bucks. Beauty of it is you can access your phone apps, messaging all in one place on the road.... its not really meant for sitting on your desk 24/7, kind of defeats the point of it.
actually he is right, but i solely bought it to use ethernet cable with phone, because wifi and 5g network sometimes give me trouble, and occasionally i want to be able to read usb memory and sdcard of my friends, without taking out my own microsd from the phone, conveniently, i can also consider carrying it with me when i visit my relatives and friends, but i would not want to carry a keyboard with me of course even if it is small.
the average person wont use it , I had many people mention that they do find the benefits and take advantage of it . Mine is still in the box, I think I made this video over a year ago . I use google home mini every day , is my BFF 😬
Hi! Will the samsung dexpad work without a power supply if I want to use it as a usb c to hdmi adapter without it being plugged in? Just to screen mirror? Thanks!
Why does my dex station not even turn on? HDMI in connected to monitor, fast charger, healthy cable, no input at all. I have an hdmi to USB c cable that activates dex so I know it works, but WTF?
I use the dex station with a tv whilst on my bed with a lap stand and keyboard and mouse and it is pretty good cos I don't have a computer. Also I only paid £20 for it
You don't get the point. .. Dex is made for Samsung . I like it because it makes sl much easy to manage my pictures videos.. Music.. Delete cut edit. Or print documents on my note 9. Easy.. Is made for the phone.
oh trust me , I know the point and I know what it can do . but is this what the average person will do ? probably not . I am yet to still use mine even after this video. Don't get me wrong , this is for some people as many have mentioned, but just not everyone. Def was not worth paying $150 for it . Thanks for the feedback !!
I have the same issue used it once or twice then i upgraded my Samsung phone and the docking station sat in storage for 5+ years cause it's NOT compatible with my new phone
i would not say its useless i have one i have no pc i love my dex station and id say its meant to be carried to hook it up at work on a monitor or tv its also ment for the same thing for going out at friend yout not carrying everything with you especialy at work where there's likely to be a monitor mouse and keybord plus now tv's does it wirelessly good for presentation but beyond that and watching movies the latency is very bad for like gaming for example where on the dex station i have no latency issues at all while playing CODM with a xbox controler and my mouse for menu actions replacing the touch pad on the screen but some new samsung touch screen montiors support dex let you use the screen as it it were on your phone but i get the point if you have a pc its totally worth less to have unless you need to work with 2 pc's and even there depending what you do dex might not be sufficient but for daily use it nice to have still and to be honest it nice because it need 2 or 3 wire to work you can get a wireless keyboard mouse combo either usb or bluetooth both the only thing i wish is that we had the ability to play console games with newer phones they pack a lots of power like my s22 ultra 12gb of physical ram plus 8gb or virtual ssd ram called ram plus it has its advantage and disadvantage but for using dex ram plus seem to help a bit plus our cpu gpu being qualcomm snapdragon gen1 make it a real beast compared to a ps4 and ps3 next phone in 2 or 3 years will have 32gb or ram and 64 this will be real cool to game on these computers will be thing of the past my friend and all sort of product like the nintendo switch, psp, wiiU and the samsung dex is just here to stay and maybe in the future it will be more like linux with more potential it would be very pratical to have a 15 to 27 max 32 inches monitor with a battery that you could carry around to use dex wirelessly all you would need is to carry a solar panel powerbank your mouse keyboard would all be wireless no more aa battries nothing all your going to need are those 4 things your phone and 2 charger and cable in case of something but still me i have a thronmax m20 usb-c mic connected with skullcandy hesh 2 wireless that is conected to my mic and my logitech mk270 keyboard and mouse full sise combo wireless with my sansui es-22f1 22 inch monitor i use the 45w samsung wire and cube combo to power the dex station and this is all my accessories but posibility are baisicly end less now you could use a combo of thing i said right now using the brands you want before i had a cheep multiport and the usb-c wire broke after 2 month of use in my tripod so i went to get the dex station but in the future i will upgrade to a bluetooth keyboard that lights up with mouse and ill buy a audio interface to record me playing harmonicas because quality sucks on usb mics but yeah im no dj but you could probably do it on phone and many other things if you really want it
😀... Please go ahead and share your perspective. I would love to hear from you how the average user will benefit from the DexStation... Actually, why don't you go ahead and make a video about it and share it with us. I would love to see what you have to say about it 😉
Samsung DeX Videos (by Shaun Roselt) well first point you wouldn't have this if you have PC...very true but think about it this way. You go to visit someone away from home and staying in a hotel. Bring a small keyboard and mouse with with the Dex station and Bam ... A PC in the hotel. Plus right now it's 70 bucks on Amazon..... So worth it. It's not meant to be a super fast gaming PC it's for doing what you would normally on your phone but on a larger screen. And he kept on going about a monitor, so far off cause any HDMI port work like on everyone's TVs. You don't need a monitor
yep!! I didn't make this video to talk anyone from not buying the DexStation.. I wanted to put things into perspective. I honestly was very excited when I got it , sadly I only used it a few times. I also got a lot off good feedback from some people who do take advantage of the benefits that the Dex provides. thanks for coming back !
I think this would be practical for me. I already have a wireless keyboard and mouse but no PC. A Dex Station is a hell of a lot cheaper than a laptop or desktop, and according to this review, it works well. So I think I'm sold
yep ! That would be perfect for you !! Checkout Amazon I think I saw them selling for $50 and $70, just make sure you don't pick up one of the third party manufacturers. There are some that look just like this one .
Perfect example of a person who has money and buys stuff he has no clue about so he can review it (horribly) with out researching it and knowing the main reason it was made lol
I think you've missed who this is targeted towards, the primary users of this are corp users who have vdi solutions in their environment. I can use this in my office and launch my windows 10 virtual desktop, then take it home or on the road and dock it and have my same full power desktop wherever I am and not have to lug a laptop with me.
yep, I agree with you . This video was meant for the average user. I know many people do take advantage of the features that the dexStation brings . Great to hear you are able to use the virtual desktop feature , I always wanted to use it but never made the time to configure it . Thanks for the feedback !
Eevnos I'm not. The Galaxy Tab S4 is terrible. It's underpowered and overpriced. You need at least 8GB RAM for DeX and Snapdragon 845. Having 512GB storage is also probably recommended. Anything less will result in a shitty DeX experience if you plan on using it as your primary computer.
Im buying a dex station because my pc's motherboard got busted so i have al the peripherals and only use it for work that is internet based to its a better option for me
I preordered the S10 and bought for 26USB a "Dex hub replica". My plan is to try to use my phone on my different project sites, where I already have extra monitors and mice, keyb. Having a dex at home, just for "fun" is just pointless imo.
I agree, for me having it at home has not added any value. Is still in the box. I had many people mention that they do use it when they travel . Thanks for sharing !!
@@MayitoTek i will try to manage without carrying my laptop all around, especially because I already use my phone for 80% of my work, and only use laptop for Excel and word etc. Fingers crossed
This has the potential to be a mainstream gadget in the future but as for now I am not convinced that it has enough power and memory to do the full office work. i.e not the lite version of MS office or Lotus Notes and also has the capability to do a heavy multitasking. But I hope it will and soon so I don’t have to carry around any laptop anymore. Also, if this goes mainstream, I may not have to carry around the dex as many hotels and other establishments have already had it.
I agree, with the latest note 9 you only need a small adapter that will allow you to connect the phone to a monitor and active the OS. I know many people have mentioned that they do take advantage of it and find it useful. Sadly mine is still in the box 🙈
This is so simple to hook up and use and it is single handedly the best invention of an accessory to make and already awesome product 500x better.....smh. u probably use apple products off camera. Ive been playing my note 9 for 3 years on this and other hdmi dangles now with not a single bad experience. Everyday use. U keep saying thst ur only gonna use it once and thats it but ur wrong. I believe any dex or samsung user would agree. I dont have internet or cable where I live but the cell service is above average so im able to use it for all my streaming gaming and music. And I unplug and take it with me all the time....and now with wireless dex u don't need to bring the puck. Ive never seen a negative dex station review so im sorry for the rant but this just blew my mind. But ur entitle to ur opinions. Doesn't make u right. Just entitled to that particular opinion. May God bless ya...
Yep, also it was over price in my opinion. Maybe that's why they didn't make it afterwards and just made that feature as part of the newer samsung devices
many people have mentioned a better experience! Sadly mine is still in the box. You mind mentioning how you use it mainly , I feel that I need to make an update to give it justice 😁
This video is kinda disingenuous, because you are making it about your particular situation, when you should just "sell" it for the strong points and hypothetical individual situations. Me for instance, I have a old monitor that's sitting on my guest room and coupled with a spare Bluetooth keyboard+mouse , my daughter when she comes visit since she Have a Samsung Phone I bought this for her, and she uses it all the time as a full blown PC! ...when she leaves, the mouse+keyboard goes back to the drawer and the desk is free for writing or reading... It's just great, I save space and money.
Stupid video. Completely misses the point of a dex. You also don't need a keyboard or mouse. You can just use the phone screen as a touch pad input. For business it's great for presentations etc too as you can plug it into screens and even projectors. does everything a laptop can do in the same situation except you can basically fit everything in your pocket. You can also run the whole thing off a USB C battery bank if you wanted. At home you won't use it much but for travel it is awesome. Turns your hotel screen into a desktop(only needs hdmi in which almost all have) for web browsing, social media, backing up photos videos etc to a portable hard drive(you can even transfer Go Pro files etc to a hard drive each night) playing movies at night(helpful in foreign countries with no TV you can understand etc) I don't think this was ever intended to replace a traditional PC. This video was incredibly narrow minded.
stupid comment ! missed the point of the video.. this is targeted for the average user and at the time it was selling for over $150. I still think is not for everyone, I have a lot of tech at home and this is still in the box. I tried to take it to the hospital to watch netflix and the video quality was garbage
You should have started by saying what is it and what it is good for (my reason for watching this vid); secondly, as you are preaching to those in the know, why keep repeating again and again and again and again the same message. You should have edited this vid to under 2 minutes and probably would have had spare time to drop a couple of jokes.
Heya Mayito. I know the game with cluttering the desk. :-( Travelling definetely. Why was it not meant to be travelling? I am not sure it will solve my problem... well. I would have a dedicated space... hm.... Let's see :-))
This really is a piss poor video. You basically made a video telling people they don't need the product and won't use it. That's presumptuous and not a good basis for a video. It should be geared toward the people who are interested and want to know about it. Anyone looking at a Dex station knows what's needed and what it does. They don't know if it works well or what the caveats of the system are. That's what people are looking for. Not this rubbish. If your criticism was it's a novelty and it'll wear off fast that's a reasonable criticism but you didn't even mention that. Seems you have buyers remorse and bought something you had no idea about. It's like me buying a blender and wondering why my internet didn't get faster then leaving it a bad review.
you dont have to agree with me and that is ok . I still dont use it . I know many people do find this helpful and it does add a benefit, but I still believe not the average user. Not for $150 !!!
this was not a review.. just my take on it .. the review is on another video :) ... at the end of the day this was a $150 piece of plastic that is no longer needed with the newer Samsung devices. I still think Samsung was robbing us with this
@@MayitoTek you went on ANOTHER video and talk about the device? 🤦♂️ Your "take on it" is; since YOU have no use for it, the rest of the world won't have use for it, you are way far from reality.

Love the honest reviews. Not something I can see using myself. Like you said, considering all the items you need, you probably have a computer already and won't reach for this item.
yep!! Thats pretty much how I see it! Thanks!!
Sure if you already have a computer then its not needed, but this is pretty handy for "phone only" people who would like some light desktop use.
I run Debian (under UserLAnd) and Ubuntu (under Linux on DeX) on my S9+ and DeX makes that experience quite pleasant.
nice!! did you install like a custom rum on the S9+ or how did you manage to do that ?
@@MayitoTek $63.17 www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B06XR9M1ZP/ If the cost were $100 or especially $150 then I wouldn't feel the same way.

Already had my Samsung Dex Station for using my gaming and business needs
This is my reasoning in buying this device.
that is very interesting !! Yep , I also have Tmobile and tethering sucks now!
I like this guys honesty if it is ment to get or not.
THE VIDEO Presenter is a 'novice' at best.
using it with note 9 in my work, full office 365 access and emails plus the google applications ( chrome, drive.....) so its really useful....
Thanks for sharing!!!
Hi MayitoTek
For home use, I suggest using the TV with remote keyboard & mouse, however, for work these are invaluable.
I have set these up for roaming staff to use a hotdesk at any location and everything is always secure either in the cloud of on the device they keep with them.
One desk, many users.
If any of the remote offices are broken into or damaged, our security isn't breached.
That's a super cool way of using it!
I know this video is kinda old, but I have another scenario for you. There are people such as myself that live in areas with no internet or very bad internet, so hooking up to the DeX station or just using Samsung DeX for that matter is the only way to use a computer type interface as DeX is NOT just a blown up version of your phone.
I agree.. at the time i didnt think it was worth over $150.. it was just a piece of plastic with an adapter
Everyone has a keyboard and mouse lol . If you don't they are cheap . You just need a monitor . Also the screen mirroring is great for many reasons. Plus one of the main advantages is that now everything is on your phone no more files at home! It's all with you , one device is the future!
And then you lose one device. All gone haha

I don't have internet, but I have unlimited data on my phone. This will benefit me for watching hulu, Netflix and anything else on my tv at home. I used to just chromecast it but my tv likes to kick me out completely and wont reconnect, so a wired connection will solve that problem.
I agree with you Elias, thanks for the feedback !!!
Adding this is just entering an IP address.
yep !! Def many people do find it helpful. I had many people give examples on how they have used it in the other comments.
I have an office computer, mouse and monitor. But I don't have a laptop or a desktop. I use this as my primary computer.
Yo my pc went to trash and i dont feel like building a new one since I just watch anime and write on Microsoft word this thing does the job hahaha
I would have done the exact same thing!!
hey man i have a question for you.. how would you compare this to nox for mobile gaming on pc? im assuming nox is better considering my pc has a 1080ti and i7 8700k but i honestly dont know if nox uses those things or limits itself to phone capabilities anyhow...
sorry Ronald I don't have an answer for that as I have not used the nox for gaming myself
You have no idea what this is meant for, its portable for one meaning you can pop it in your bag with along with a HDMI cable, bluetooth mouse/keyboard and either connect it a TV or take along a portable screen for a 100 bucks. Beauty of it is you can access your phone apps, messaging all in one place on the road.... its not really meant for sitting on your desk 24/7, kind of defeats the point of it.
actually he is right, but i solely bought it to use ethernet cable with phone, because wifi and 5g network sometimes give me trouble, and occasionally i want to be able to read usb memory and sdcard of my friends, without taking out my own microsd from the phone, conveniently, i can also consider carrying it with me when i visit my relatives and friends, but i would not want to carry a keyboard with me of course even if it is small.
uh obviously I’m not gonna use it all the time, i just use it when I need it
Using your logic, the google home mini that you have is useless
the average person wont use it , I had many people mention that they do find the benefits and take advantage of it . Mine is still in the box, I think I made this video over a year ago . I use google home mini every day , is my BFF 😬
@@MayitoTek so the review is completely biased and only applies to how you found it? And then says everyone will probably be the same?
Hi! Will the samsung dexpad work without a power supply if I want to use it as a usb c to hdmi adapter without it being plugged in? Just to screen mirror? Thanks!
I just tried it in my monitor and older model HD TV and it did not work .
Why does my dex station not even turn on? HDMI in connected to monitor, fast charger, healthy cable, no input at all. I have an hdmi to USB c cable that activates dex so I know it works, but WTF?
Can you drag and drop from your phone screen to the TV/monitor? Cut and paste from a website or document on your phone to Word, Excel or Powerpoint?
Not sure what you mean by that. Yes, in Dex you can copy, paste just as when using the phone normally.
if you dont have a computer you can hook it to your tv's hdmi and buy a $20 mouse and keyboard. for someone that doesnt have a computer its usefull
I have the same issue used it once or twice then i upgraded my Samsung phone and the docking station sat in storage for 5+ years cause it's NOT compatible with my new phone
i would not say its useless i have one i have no pc i love my dex station and id say its meant to be carried to hook it up at work on a monitor or tv its also ment for the same thing for going out at friend yout not carrying everything with you especialy at work where there's likely to be a monitor mouse and keybord
plus now tv's does it wirelessly good for presentation but beyond that and watching movies the latency is very bad for like gaming for example where on the dex station i have no latency issues at all while playing CODM with a xbox controler and my mouse for menu actions replacing the touch pad on the screen but some new samsung touch screen montiors support dex let you use the screen as it it were on your phone
but i get the point if you have a pc its totally worth less to have unless you need to work with 2 pc's and even there depending what you do dex might not be sufficient but for daily use it nice to have still
and to be honest it nice because it need 2 or 3 wire to work you can get a wireless keyboard mouse combo either usb or bluetooth both
the only thing i wish is that we had the ability to play console games with newer phones they pack a lots of power like my s22 ultra 12gb of physical ram plus 8gb or virtual ssd ram called ram plus it has its advantage and disadvantage but for using dex ram plus seem to help a bit plus our cpu gpu being qualcomm snapdragon gen1 make it a real beast compared to a ps4 and ps3 next phone in 2 or 3 years will have 32gb or ram and 64 this will be real cool to game on these computers will be thing of the past my friend and all sort of product like the nintendo switch, psp, wiiU and the samsung dex is just here to stay and maybe in the future it will be more like linux with more potential
it would be very pratical to have a 15 to 27 max 32 inches monitor with a battery that you could carry around to use dex wirelessly all you would need is to carry a solar panel powerbank your mouse keyboard would all be wireless no more aa battries nothing all your going to need are those 4 things your phone and 2 charger and cable in case of something
but still me i have a thronmax m20 usb-c mic connected with skullcandy hesh 2 wireless that is conected to my mic and my logitech mk270 keyboard and mouse full sise combo wireless with my sansui es-22f1 22 inch monitor i use the 45w samsung wire and cube combo to power the dex station and this is all my accessories but posibility are baisicly end less now you could use a combo of thing i said right now using the brands you want before i had a cheep multiport and the usb-c wire broke after 2 month of use in my tripod so i went to get the dex station but in the future i will upgrade to a bluetooth keyboard that lights up with mouse and ill buy a audio interface to record me playing harmonicas because quality sucks on usb mics but yeah im no dj but you could probably do it on phone and many other things if you really want it
Lmao this guy is clueless
😀...
Please go ahead and share your perspective. I would love to hear from you how the average user will benefit from the DexStation...
Actually, why don't you go ahead and make a video about it and share it with us. I would love to see what you have to say about it 😉
Lance Domhoff I somewhat agree, but not completely. He has good points.
Lance Domhoff Samsung is that you ?????
thanks for the input...
Its good if you have extra monitor keyboard mouse. which i do. but i also have a laptop i can use the dex win on
yeah, dex has evolved alot since I made this video .. at the time sasung was asking $150 for this piece of plastic which is no longer required
TheWalkingRed Buy it. You won't regret it!!!
MayitoTek I have some friends who use the third party ones and I even know people from companies who develop third party ones. Some of them are nice.
Glad to see someone out there agrees with me
TV? Plus wireless keyboard with trackpad..
Yep
would fit perfect with a 10" monitor paired 3 cords and your phone so you would still need a bag to throw it in
Perfect example of a person who has money and buys stuff he has no clue about so he can review it (horribly) with out researching it and knowing the main reason it was made lol
Only because I didn't tell you what you wanted to hear? I don't have money btw! 🤦♂️... was not a review, but my personal experience
Great info man!
I think this another one of those things that seems great in theory, but maybe not so much in practice.
Thanks Steve!! Pretty sure same will happen with the new Dex Pad
Eevnos I think DeX is pretty cool in practice also. I've been using it as my primary computer for the past 5 months.
That's great man!
I'm really excited for the Galaxy Tab S4 with DeX built in!
True, but I don't think the target is for it to be a primary machine. That's definitely a secondary device.

Dex mode already integrated on newer samsung devices. 👌
I use it every day
many people have mentioned a better experience! Sadly mine is still in the box. You mind mentioning how you use it mainly , I feel that I need to make an update to give it justice 😁
just bought 1 brand new on fb marketplace for 20 gona give it a try
Sell it to me please. Would be using it with my TV.
😬👍
This video is kinda disingenuous, because you are making it about your particular situation, when you should just "sell" it for the strong points and hypothetical individual situations.
Me for instance, I have a old monitor that's sitting on my guest room and coupled with a spare Bluetooth keyboard+mouse , my daughter when she comes visit since she Have a Samsung Phone I bought this for her, and she uses it all the time as a full blown PC! ...when she leaves, the mouse+keyboard goes back to the drawer and the desk is free for writing or reading... It's just great, I save space and money.
My bad
Not everybody can afford a laptop buddy
these used to sell for over $150 at the time of the video
Stupid video. Completely misses the point of a dex. You also don't need a keyboard or mouse. You can just use the phone screen as a touch pad input. For business it's great for presentations etc too as you can plug it into screens and even projectors. does everything a laptop can do in the same situation except you can basically fit everything in your pocket. You can also run the whole thing off a USB C battery bank if you wanted.
At home you won't use it much but for travel it is awesome. Turns your hotel screen into a desktop(only needs hdmi in which almost all have) for web browsing, social media, backing up photos videos etc to a portable hard drive(you can even transfer Go Pro files etc to a hard drive each night) playing movies at night(helpful in foreign countries with no TV you can understand etc)
I don't think this was ever intended to replace a traditional PC.
I won't use it at all
I hear you !!
You should have started by saying what is it and what it is good for (my reason for watching this vid); secondly, as you are preaching to those in the know, why keep repeating again and again and again and again the same message. You should have edited this vid to under 2 minutes and probably would have had spare time to drop a couple of jokes.
Yeah I never really understood why have or buy a monitor, mouse and keyboard and the dex. It’ll be cheaper and more convenient to just get a laptop.
yep !! You know it .. Only benefit I see is if you already have a monitor at home and you really don't want to buy a computer
Because laptops screens are too small and their keyboards aren't ergonomic.
.
Heya Mayito. I know the game with cluttering the desk. :-( Travelling definetely. Why was it not meant to be travelling? I am not sure it will solve my problem... well. I would have a dedicated space... hm.... Let's see :-))

mario ..was wondering if i could have t if you dont want it.. : )
I want it, I just don't use is as much as I would imagine after paying $150 for it 🎃
This really is a piss poor video.
You dont want to use or you dont like it . Its your problem . Carry ur computer andd walk around la dont use hp . You n your dam video
you dont have to agree with me and that is ok . I still dont use it . I know many people do find this helpful and it does add a benefit, but I still believe not the average user. Not for $150 !!!
Wow...I feel like I lost brain cells watching this nonsense.
That explains your nonsense comment too
