Engineer has always been my crutch with this game. And only recently rediscovered that it gives 50% skill dmg, the highest percent dmg bonus a class gives for a single dmg type. So Ive definitely been experimenting around with it haha
I couldn't find joy in the engineer archetype when I tried it at my first run. Then I saw your first build explaining the s with heavy weapons and stuff like that and it was a blast. Bolt always opening the non-believers eyes 💪 This flamethrower build looks so satisfying, Space Troppers vibes 🫡
Great vids as always! Though I do have a question; how come reduced skill cooldown isn’t prioritized on Engineer builds anymore? I’m guessing dps trinkets are just better than Overclocked now?
Ive actually build an turret engineer build and i hadd a lot of fun shooting with it in hand mod , i use Ring Of Ordnance so i never get out of ammo or get restocked muntions pretty fast , with Mechanic's Cog & A'Taerii Booster , paired with Insulation Driver amulet cause Mechanic's Cog give Bulwark , ( im just wondering if HASTE make animation of overclock going faster, i don't know ) , and i got some explain that apparently Burden of the destroyer doesnt affect Turret firearm range since it's skill damage on turret , so an extra free 15% all damages, and i use Vulcan turret paired with Juggernaut abillity from Challenger cause i have to admit melee turret hits hurt pretty well , i activate juggernaut then turret just in case, with Yummy Atom splitter/Rupture canon with Helix(bottom heavy mutator/more reload & fire rate speed),and last pulse rifle for some perfect accuracy i love it.
Dunno how much it matters but, technically speaking, Wrathbringer with Edgelord is probably the best option for your melee weapon. Awakening stacks even without the weapon out, then both it and Edgelord affect your melee swings with your heavy weapon if you ever need to.
Can confirm on re: Explosive scaling. It gives way less bonus damage than it would on paper, and summoner is just really annoying to play on Engineer. The stamina, movement, and tankiness/damage bonuses from Handler are just WAY more valuable, especially with how much dodging you have to do with Engineer’s heavy carry (and its gun/melee damage is better for the rare moments you have to drop the turret).
@@BoltJamison Also thought I’d mention, the turret inherits the Melee mutator on your melee weapon - meaning some really silly shenanigans can happen with the bonus damage from Handler and the high base melee damage of the turret itself. I like Vampire and Shielded Strike in particular.
@@BoltJamison hell yeah! I’ve been messing around today with some builds myself after your video. As far as I know, nothing “charged” works, and some like Shocker, Striker, and Disengage don’t work, but Vampire Blade and Dervish seem to give big numbers (and Overclock increases melee damage, too). Butcher’s Fetish and Overdrive also don’t work, but enough stuff does that it can stack silly damage.
Just curious, but for your Impact Cannon build, would it worse or similar if you have Zero Hour as your amulet? I’m assuming you picked Cost of Betrayal since it has more consistent damage numbers.
@@BoltJamison heavy carry speed stays the same. Movement speed (from swiftness) is separate. I guess they dont stack even though they’re both movement speed. I guess only things like mechanics cog that ups heavy carry movement speed will work.
Omg i just discovered a secret interaction that i never knew it's like if you wear Navigator Pendant + Navigator Helm together you get a +14 infiction ressist instead of having -1 on affliction and i have tested it without helm it dont work it's just the two of them have to be together, thats it i take it i get more tankier and resist more like 155 stamina & Health il take it , also Navigator healm look sick with Technician set.
I've still barely touched Engineer so I'm always surprised to see the damage it can put out. That impact cannon is no joke. Think my issue is that I mostly used the arch in turret mode which I don't like for bossing at all. I gotta fuck with carry more. That might be the fastest corruptor one phase I've seen thus far. 😫👏
You're missing out on all the fun! Engineer in heavy carry mode is prolly the most fun arch imo. Damage is respectable, has s and tankiness. Good all-around arch!
@@BoltJamison some says after i beat the campaign and yeah i think thats the answer cuz i got it now after i beat the campaign its on sell now also do you know where is the drop of sagestone
If you are going to use monolith’s and nebula’s mod, you better drop the turret on the ground and shoot with monolith instead of heavy carrying and locking yourself out of your skills. Heavycarring is stupid.

appreciate you highlighting three huge DPS Engineer builds in one video, Bolt. “Billy! - Find us a way out of this hole!”
"There's something out there waiting for us.......and it ain't no man"
Thanks my boy bolt you finally back with the most fun build and archetype in the entire game
Agreed. I love engineer
Sandstorm *and* Nano Swarm, you say? I've never seen that combo before! 🤣
😂 yea they are too good. Most likely gonna get nerfed eventually.
noooo definitely not defining remnant 2's meta at all ahahhaa
Probably the most underrated archetype in the game but with bolt nothing is underrated
Sad it doesn't get the love it deserves. Engineer has a lot going for it
I wouldn't say it was underrated. Everybody used to use it. People are using other archetypes and new builds.
Engi isn’t really that under rated
Search engineer n you could be far from wrong lol
Engineer has always been my crutch with this game. And only recently rediscovered that it gives 50% skill dmg, the highest percent dmg bonus a class gives for a single dmg type.

To me, it's the most fun arch. I love heavy carry!
You can do so much with heavy weapon builds even melee them 😂 Great Bolt , thank you ❤
The melee is strong too!
@@BoltJamison And thank you btw for taking some damage and not being too much perfect all the time ❤️😘
great showcase for the heavy carry playstyle
Thank you!

@drier_cola hey Cola, I replied to you on my discord cuz I saw you asked this there as well.

Lots of good choices there. Ring of ordanace is a great qol of life ring, especially when mobbing. Love engineer

Sounds good to me. This isn't a dedicated melee build so use whatever melee you enjoy
@@BoltJamison ya mostly just noting it because it’s one of the few melee weapons that actually at least kinda helps.

@gilberttheaircraftcarrier thus is an older video and not updated with dlc3 items. I'll prolly take the old build videos down and update them
@@BoltJamison ahh sorry I didn’t know. But in your opinion, is zero hour better than cost of betrayal as of dlc3?
Swiftness doesnt work with heavy carry right? Doesnt feel like i’m running faster with turret out at least.
What does the tooltip say while in heavycarry? Like the stats section for movement speed. Does it change when in heavy carry?
@@BoltJamison heavy carry speed stays the same. Movement speed (from swiftness) is separate. I guess they dont stack even though they’re both movement speed. I guess only things like mechanics cog that ups heavy carry movement speed will work.
How is the DOT on the flamethrower? Is Red Ring of Death a bigger DPS spike than just stacking additive damage?
It decent. Nothing mind blowing like the star shot mod. Rrod can be nice if going for a full dot build

That's pretty sick!
@@BoltJamison Yes i do become for real a terminator carrying a vulcain turret + juggernaut from challenger haha
It’s pretty good though 👌🏽
Indeed
Does footwork do anything with heavy carry?
Yup it sure does. Best to use it with Vulcan for spray and strafe. It's a great trait for engineer heavy carry
Still waiting for the turret build. T_T

Can we get a non carry engineer build?
Yea I will make one eventually, I just prefer heavy carry.
Mistake on the Vulcan build in the toolkit, it shows the Impact Cannon skill.
