I'm trying to stop commenting on politics and race cos it's rare to find honest and sincere minds. Everyone tries to defend their stand no matter what. I get why Blacks have their Entertainment shows, and I get how some Whites find it hypocritical. There are valid points from both sides. The thing is, you can't look at this correctly without acknowledging history especially. Its like looking at the context of an incident to make a just accessment. For a race that has only seen abuse and suppression for centuries [still present subtly, you can't argue for a Zero racism America], that was the least one could do for their community, come up with ideas to help it. However, it should get to a point where Whites and Blacks and other races as well reach an equilibrium and do things together without bias, prejudice and superiority. Now the important questions are: - Who decides the Equilibrium? - Are we there? - Are both parties working towards it? - Will the voices of prejudice-free people blow away that of racist and prejudice people? It looks like we will always go back and forth cos of who (most people) we are.

I’m talking about the direct double standard that exists as it pertains to white vs black. Celebration of the white race and specifically naming white accomplishments as such would be labeled as racist. Organizations and groups, if they were named as being specifically beneficial to white people, charities and scholarships specifically for white people, etc would be viewed as racist. Yet any organization, award show, scholarships, benefits specially for African Americans are viewed as a positive thing

OG Aunt Viv was the funniest and the best, Aunt Vivian #2 was unfunny as fudge. The casting director did a shitty job selecting her.
Too bad the actress playing her took a few seasons to understand that she was playing on the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air starring Will Smith and not Black Housewife of Bel-Air starring Janet Hubert. The saddest thing is that she's still bitter about her firing 20 years+ later, couldn't let it go.
Folke Aunt Viv #2 is/was married to the dad from Sister Sister at the time so his tv network connections is probably what got her hired. Aunt Viv #1 is definitely bitter probably because she basically got fired by a child (a successful one nonetheless) and hasn’t found real work since then. I only saw her once as Chandler’s mean boss in one or two Episodes of Friends and a political RUclips rant a few years ago.

I'm trying to stop commenting on politics and race cos it's rare to find honest and sincere minds. Everyone tries to defend their stand no matter what. I get why Blacks have their Entertainment shows, and I get how some Whites find it hypocritical. There are valid points from both sides. The thing is, you can't look at this correctly without acknowledging history especially. Its like looking at the context of an incident to make a just accessment. For a race that has only seen abuse and suppression for centuries [still present subtly, you can't argue for a Zero racism America], that was the least one could do for their community, come up with ideas to help it. However, it should get to a point where Whites and Blacks and other races as well reach an equilibrium and do things together without bias, prejudice and superiority. Now the important questions are:
- Who decides the Equilibrium?
- Are we there?
- Are both parties working towards it?
- Will the voices of prejudice-free people blow away that of racist and prejudice people?
It looks like we will always go back and forth cos of who (most people) we are.
