My Dad (RIP) used to jump into his 50s, he boxed for Ireland (triple crown champ) and was a Dr. He always advised me that jumping was one of the best all round exercises. His was as fit as a fiddle till his 80s. Thanks for reminding me of this great exercise. Your skills are a different level, he had speed like yours but not your skills - awesome.
I was a roper jumper for 10 years (or more) and then had to stop because of the BS covid crap. Gym closed for good. I ran across your video shorts and became enamored again. At 68 I'm getting back into it and I feel so grateful for having come across your channel. I just ordered my indoor pad. I've since become a pickleballer...and I'm quite confident this will improve my game. Thank you sweet Lauren.
Good day from Canada... I'll be 66 years old in the next two months and I have decided to start something new and exciting in my life - looks like that I'm sold now with the idea about trying out Jumping Rope like a Pro. :-) Tks for your video and the great tips - BTW, I received my beaded rope this afternoon from Amazon and I'll follow your advise doing short training first and increase as I get stronger and better. Tks again for your video and your instructions.
I’ve been jumping almost everyday for about 2 months now after being inspired by your videos on my feed. I love putting on music and seeing what I can do. I just recently got down 180s and 360s consistently and it’s making it super fun!
I've been jumping martial arts style for over 50 years and while I still enjoy it I'm really impressed with her moves , got to check this out and learn something new !
This is so good Lauren. I've been jumping for 9 months and the wrists v's elbows finally clicked with your explanation. Thank you! Back to the jump mat I go 🤦🏻♀
You are a natural at this style. Like sitting and chatting with a friend. A friend who happens to be a humble Master. Thank you for sharing these tips!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Back in the ‘70’s, guys would laugh when I took out my jump rope at the gym., until I challenged them to try it. As a boxer, I knew the benefits of this workout.
You inspired me to jump rope every time I start to lose my love for jump roping I start watching you shorts and tips I have learned so many trick from your videos and shorts thanks for everything ❤ 😊
You are a special woman. You’re an excellent athlete, and teacher. You are genuinely humble as you understand that when you are doing something bigger than yourself your desire is to share it. This attribute is rare at this time with successful famous athletes. You need to somehow take part in a Super Bowl Halftime Show. Yes you’re that good, beautiful, humble, and entertaining. Please, at sometime, share how/why you are so grounded.
You are simply amazing Luaren, i have bean jumping for over a Year now, and everything you say makes 100% sense, thanks for tacking the time for makeng it💓
Yes, a website said my rope should be at armpit level and after 3 minutes it did not feel good. I needed a shorter rope and better form - thank you for the tips!
Thanks for sharing fab videos/ knowhow! 🙏 I'm a bloke aged 64, Norwegian, who has hardly touched a jump rope before (except a couple of tries as a kid, concluding I wasn't constructed for it + not really my idea of having fun...) Now I'm going for it! How the heck did you manage to put me into this modus? 😳🤣🤣
I’m just jumping on board with your RUclips channel and I just subscribed to your newsletter. I wish I would have done this sooner as I’m nursing an injured calf from over working it. 😅😅😅
You picked it up quickly Loz is you have natural balance,if kicked a football I could not guess which foot you would use, natural balance ❤keep going lass
Very nicely done Lauren, very clear and informative. I was impressed with your analysis, obviously thoughtful. I would however add one more tip, and that would be to avoid massive BEES. Thanks!
In the beginning, I did make a mistake of over doing it. I literally could not get out of bed, my lower back hurt so bad for a couple of days. So I totally agree to take it slow.
@lauren, I have been your subscriber( follower) since you started this channel and i started jump rope after seeing one of your shorts, Hope we can make a video together some day🙃
#1, starting gradually, I can attest to from doing it wrong more than once. You need to temper your initial enthusiasm (“I’m going to be a fitness buff!”) and turn it into a longer, slower discipline which includes the discipline not to overdo it at the outset. If you do 50 burpees/pushups the first time after a sedentary period and then you can barely move for a week, or even worse you tear a muscle and need to take a couple of weeks off, you get very little or no benefit. But if you do ten the first day, twenty the second, thirty the third, rest the fourth, then fifty the fifth day and so on, then after a week you’ve done 150+ total with actual healthy growth.
Nice video. I am 55 years old and out of shape. I am looking to get into better shape and feel better but worried about my knees and joints. Is this good for people like me?
Hello! I have an issue. So, I watched your second jump rope tutorial, in which you teach swings and crossovers, and I have learned swings. But crossovers are troubling me. I can do the crossover toe catch perfectly, however when I try to jump, the rope never goes over for some reason. I cannot figure out what's wrong 😭
i just started in morning but i feel stress in body and exhusted all day...give me a tips...when u started..u practiced in morning or afternoon or evening..plz reply

Thoughtful, articulate, intelligent and well informed. Thank you.
You make that look so easy. I didn’t jump rope like that even when I was a kid. Thanks for sharing your talent.
You have a wonderful ability to break things down in understandable bits. Great job!

I suspect Ms. Jumps has long been pretty athletic, making it easier for her to pick up a talent like jump roping so quickly.
Yup, don't kid yourself. She's a world-class athlete. Just watch her.

You’re welcome 😊
Tip #1 is not just for jumping. It's also valid for jogging, and most other sports, where one use body muscles.
Definitely!
Well, all sports use muscles. And "body muscles", as opposed to what other type of muscle? Very confusing.
You are amazing!
Bella !
Love the accent and that cute smile.
I would love to try but knees are bad you make it look so exciting
