Today I bought green plantains and raw peanuts at the market because I wanted to replicate a wonderful dish I ate while traveling in Uganda many years ago. Thank you so much for this video! I'm sure my dinner will turn out great.
Great video, well explained and healthy cooking! I don’t understand why most people don’t see this cooking to be healthy, I mean this video was posted 8 yrs ago and it has 25 comments only! This life no balance for real.
+Chao Maitai Hi, peanut sauce goes so well with a lot of foods. Like ugali na sukuma, rice, on fish, matoke and many more. the list is endless. I also have a Ugandan chicken inspired recipe where I've actually served it. You can find the recipe here: ruclips.net/video/yL6xczrmw-Q/видео.html
If you want to add oil then that would be as you are starting off the cooking process. Sautee the onions in about one to two tablespoons of peanut oil or any neutral vegetable oil of your choice. Next, add the tomatoes and any spices that you'd prefer. Once the tomatoes cook add the peanut powder and water then proceed to simmer until the sauce thickens and serve.

No salt?
What do you have with it. Looks so yummy
Mashed matoke or potatoes, beef or chicken skewers as a dip, add it to vegetables that you're cooking to enhance their flavour, etc
I like the way you cook in sufiriya👏👏👏
LOVE IT!
