Skyhawk & Maxair On Ride POV Cedar Point

- Hey Coaster Fanatics, Today I'm bringing you a POV of Maxair and skyhawk. These are two of my favorite flat rides. Maxair is made by huss and is a giant Frisbee model. Skyhawk is made by S&S and is a screamin swing model. Enjoy the ride. The skyhawks is really relaxing and then all of a sudden you get to above 90 degrees and you feel like your death awaits you.😂

Try jetscream when your 11 years old and don't fit in the restraints and have to hold on because you got narrow shoulders

Whenever I go on Skyhawk, I’m just waiting for the seatbelt and overhead restraint to just snap and I face plant on the concrete😂 fun ride though

Skyhawk doesn't have an over the shoulder restraints
Maxair is cool when you get an inverted view of the park.
Skyhawk was surprising fun especially when you're diving downward.

Great vid! It would be cool to also see what the ride looks like from the ground so we could get a better idea of what's going on.
A couple years ago, I went on maxair. It was the same year when I finally went on all the big rides. So me and my friend watched people go on it and decided to go on it during the lunch break. Well obviously WE WEREN’T THERE WHEN IT WENT SO HIGH so we had no idea, it wasn’t bad it was very fun. Just wish I knew it went higher before going on it.
I love the flat rides at cedar point so much, going this saturday and definitely riding these.

I haven't been on MaxAir itself but rode the same ride at kings island. It rained for awhile at the park and everything was closed but this ride. We had the fast pass plus and we rode it almost ten times in the rain. It made the rain feel a bit like hail, but is a great ride that I have never seen closed.

which One do You prefer? I personally choose Skyhawk, but I love them both. My 2 favorite Flats at CP for Sure. And Probably 2 if my all time favorites.
I like max air more mostly because it's near the beach.

For some reason I love max air but skyhawk had me praying for the entire ride it felt like it went on forever. I don’t know if I’ll ride again.
Nice! I love Maxair! didn't get to ride Skyhawk because I lost my car keys on Maverick the second day I was there with a friend haha(way back in 2008). We ended up spending the rest of our last day waiting for the locksmith to get car keys made haha. Hope you are surviving the off season, it last way too long lol. Thanks for posting!
Haha, Thats funny you say that. I lost a phone on maverick in 2008. It was a Nextel, lol. Maverick has been known for steeling peoples stuff. I always keep my keys attached to my belt loops now and i always wear pants with zippered pockets. My offseason has been good. I'm in the process of planning 2017. Thanks for watching. Oh I do now lol. I usually also wear a lanyard and hook it around my belt loop with my keys hooked to it down in my buttoned pocket haha.
Max Air is by far my favorite flat ride.

MaxAir was so much fun and i loved it
but man....Skyhawk BLEW MY MIND. Hands down the best flat ride not just at Cedar Point, but of all the theme parks i visited last summer (and I went to four others across the country)
I like both, but prefer Skyhawk.

An S&S Screamin Swing will be great at Six Flags New England and Over Texas, Michigan's Adventure, Kentucky Kingdom, Kings Island and Canada's Wonderland.

I loved MaXair and Skyhawk. Both fun, but also felt like you might die.
Ooooowhhooooweeee!!! THANK YOU for making this video! I thought I wanted to try Maxair ... but that's gonna be a hard pass. (Ill stick to the coasters.) I literally got dizzy (no joke!) and headache-y just from watching this, thinking "Man, if I was on this in real life, I'd be focusing on holding down my cookies." I really do appreciate (and love) all your videos.😊

It was amazing. I think it was one of my favorites other than Gatekeeper and Millenium Force

I went to Cedar Point this past summer and Maxx Air was broken. But I could ride Skyhawk and it turned out to be my favorite. I hope I can ride Maxx Air next time I go

Ill ride rollercoasters all day long. These two rides for some reason scare the heck out of me. Not sure if its the lofty time spent up high. Give my fear of heights time to register I am that high up. hahaha. Rollercoasters there are no time to think.

Is it bad that I could tell each time when ejector airtime would be experienced just by how the ride operates with the MaXXAir?
Nope not bad at all. Airtime is the best part.
Skyhawk scared the hell out of me when I first went on it because it doesn't have a shoulder harness
You got ripped off on Skyhawk. You got some nice air time on Maxxair.

CoasterFanatics : I like Delirium at Kings Island better because it actually runs. Maxair seems to be down every time we go to Cedar Point. Either mechanical problems or problems with the wind. Their Windseeker seems to always be non operational all the time too.
Kevin McWilliams It's the wind. windseeker also shut down when I was there for high winds. maxair has never been closed when I was there.
Truth be told, I actually come flying out of my seat more on skyhawk. Maxair doesn't do anything for me.

Skyhawks was one of my favorite rides there but the line was really long the time I went there so I only went on it 3 times. Still fun tho

I’m going to go on MaXair this year when I go for my birthday june 3rd i wanted to go last year but it was closed and never got into roller coasters the past years

It lifts you just beyond 90 degrees so not quite upside down.
When I rode skyhawk, the person next to me had their seatbelt come undone and I had to help them mid air when we were facing the concrete at it’s highest point
That had to be scary, lol.
Same happened to me only the overhead restraint failed but the tiny seatbelt kept me from falling out.

I don't do it anymore nor do I recommend it which is why I don't share how. It's against park policy and I don't encourage it.

MaxAir is super fun it's not even that scary and I rode it for my 9th bday and I'm 11 now and it's REALLY fun I thought it would be scary but it's not at all

What part of cedar point is Skyhawk in? When I went to Cedar point in 2018 the only one I found was MaxAir (which I really loved)

lol nothing wrong with that. All part of the experience.
I hate the skyhawk lol. The restraint didn’t feel like it was tight enough, so I felt like I was going to fall out the whole ride. Would definitely be better if the restraints went over your shoulders instead of just a lap restraint.

What would really be awesome if MaxAir went around in a complete loop , I think someday , Somebody will design the ride to do that , Especially with today's technology , And with today's technology , I'll bet they can modify the ride to go around in a complete loop
I'm sure the tech already exists but I don't think anyone has had the balls to pull the trigger. I'd love to see these go all the way around too.

yes cedar point is great. although I do love Carowinds as well.
Skyhawk seems too short. Maxair looks like it would be more heart attack inducing, for me anyway. Last time I was there (forever ago it feels) I wasn't mentally ready for them plus I like coasters more. The last time I was there was back in '06. It's my goal to go back this year since so much has changed and I'm not getting any younger 🤗
I hope you make it back the it's a great place. I actually think skyhawk is scarier even though it's shorter. The restraints on that thing aren't super tight so it is a little scary, lol. You feel safe on Maxair

I've seen these rides popping up more and more often at every part I visit and honestly, I'm not sure I'm happy with these at every park. The frisbees are uncomftorable ,with the exception of kennywood's, and the Skyhawks are ok but their ride cycles are really short :/... Not the best flat rides imo :/
I've liked Cedar Point's frisbee better than all the other ones so far. Yeah sky hawk is just alright in my opinion as well.

You're very brave actually. I wouldn't even go on slingshot. I have a thing for bungee rides that i don't like. Roller coasters are so much fun and actually very safe in most cases. Face your fears and give them a chance.
If you can handle these two then you can definitely handle the rollercoasters. Trust me.

I'm not gonna lie. It feels kind of sketchy when you ride it but it's so much fun at the same time.

Maxair isn't as scary as Skyhawk. But yes, these rides aren't for everyone!
