The ability to alter existing shapes in LightWave highlights how much improvement there has been. I would have elected to remodel the shape rather than alter an existing one back in the stone age, when NURBS were just becoming useful. Even the height adjustments you did would have taken several minutes of calculation before being displayed.
@@3DJapan I made the transition from using the CAD system, to being the UNIX system admin for it around 1984. When I first started doing CAD, we had only two colors. Green and brighter Green displayed on vector screens. Things have come a L O N G way since then.

Haha I think everything I did with LightWave in this video could also be done in the first version I used, 7.0, back in 2002.
