Hi sir, is this transmission exactly the same as the Tamiya Blazing Blazer ?

It has some differences, the spur gear and front case is larger to run the 2.2 wheels, other than that the rest of the gears are the same.

Holy crap! I wonder if this is why mine is slipping?! I thought it was just the gears. Never even knew that was a slipper; how astute am I? (don't answer that) THANK YOU!!! i was about to spend $80 + on a new HG P407 tranny.

@@dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol Thanks! Well, unfortunately that didn't stop the slipping. I guess the gears are just too worn. Do you know if the hg-p407 transmission will work in an old 80's Bruiser; and if so, how much modding I would need to do?

@@ToyotaGuy1971The HG-P407 transmission is a direct fit, the only difference is the electric motor its a smaller 540 style not the huge 750 bruiser motor. I have used them in my old Bruisers, you might want to upgrade the motor to a 550 for more torque.

@@dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol Okay, thanks. I've been looking at the ones on ebay that come with a black "High torque" 540 motor on them. I figured if that motor doesn't work for me, I'd try something like a 35Turn crawler motor. How do you think something like that would be?

@@ToyotaGuy1971 That will be good, the 540 that comes on the transmission works good even with the old Bruiser axles.
