- We are on Forza Motorsport seeing what might happen if are to use slick tyres in wet conditions. As you would expect the cars don't stop or turn or have any traction, but we manage to have some very good racing.

i think years of silly car buliding has trained alex on how to get traction, he is so good managing wheelspin
He isn’t as TC does it all. That’s also the issue why he smokes his tires in every race in like 3 laps. He doesn’t manage the throttle input at all.

@@Perseuswrath are you forgetting that forza has indicators on the Speedo that tell you when one of the assists is going off? They literally flash blue when on, and there aren’t any on the Speedo 🤔? I’ve been watching this guy for years, through all of it, the only assist I’ve ever seen him use was the launch control they added to horizon 5 😭😭😭.

Some analyst is going over Forza’s metrics and concluding that they need a more obvious warning when using the wrong type of tyre.
I like how the computer was so scornful of this idea that it stubbornly kept giving you 1.0 segment scores to demonstrate its disapproval. 😂

In the Cadillac, it's all of the downforce the car makes that makes it handle better. The tires and track are still slippery, but it's like forcing an object in place instead of letting it lightly slide across the surface.
Which is not realistic. Downforce would only really help at speed but they still have a lot of grip in slow corners.

Nah, it's because the tyres are poorly done. Wet tyres on Featured MP work best in typhoon conditions whereas everywhere else they work best on almost completely dry tracks. I've done races on Forza GT where everyone was using wets and struggling (even with it raining) and i've just driven on the softs all the way up to the podium

This was fun, but I'd love to see him try this on gt7 where you actually have no grip.
I can't remember the name of the setting but do u use the game setting that puts rubber on the track every lap? Because that would have made this harder on grip and normal raceing better on grip
Yes that's right. It gives you extra traction when it's dry, but makes it more slippery when wet.
You talk about the rubber pieces next to the racing line. The setting is on 50(%) but can be changed
As wild as that was, I think they still have too much grip compared to actual slicks on a wet track
I like hiw the tires basically now last indefinitely because of the wet roads.

Failrace crew out here answering the real questions ... like how to neutralise the femboy supremacy. Turns out the answer is rain plus slicks 50% of the time. Even distracto cat is arguably not enough of a handicap to swing things back the other way. Though Ninetales was still a machine sent from God to claim podiums.
This could also be a good way to see exactly what the benefit of traction control and ABS (and ESP in corners?) may be. Line up two of you side by side in the same car under these conditions, one with the assists, one without. Punch it and see who gets up to speed fastest (say, 100mph) and then who can return to a standstill from that speed in the least distance. Like the 0-100-0 game in Horizon but simply seeing what effect the electronics have. Perhaps a cornering speed test as well. Maybe have an expert player, mid-pack, and random relative noob next to each other all without assistance as well, so it's 4 wide for the acceleration/braking.
IRL a good traction control or ABS system should improve your low-end acceleration and overall braking distance (and the ESP at least let you enter a corner quicker without wiping out, even if it doesn't really do anything for G-force), as it can monitor for wheelslip and modulate things to keep you right on the edge of breaking traction (like I can certainly say there's some greasy side streets and roundabouts that become dodgy in the rain that my current electronic-everything car can pull out of / go around faster and more surefootedly than an older one of similar weight, tyre size and suspension setup which had ABS alone, but also there's been accidents I've definitely avoided thanks to the latter). Presumably in-game it has to be nerfed a bit for fairness, with a speed penalty also applied, otherwise everyone would just turn it on by default for the competitive advantage.

@@mrlach1no because forza did the classes wrong and put them in forza gt for some stupid reason. Only way would be to make a one make race of one specific v8sc

I don't think private lobbies affect safety rating, and they're playing with penalties turned off

The LMP class has always been boring to me. Hybrid was a bit interesting.
But man. LeMan Hypercars are just so interesting and cool. They feel like they've breathed character and life and passion back into the sport altogether.
I was thinking about what few Hypercars I would most want to see in the game. And its just hard not to go down the list, BMW, Ferrarri, Porsche, Peugeot, Lamborghini, Just all really cool and interesting cars, Both as racecars and on their own right. Could even see Vanwall or Glickenhaus show up in DLC packs.
Is there any way you could mix your videos up a bit more? I'm really starting to miss the old variety. Same goes with the live streams, I really miss the GTAV/Beam ones you did in the past. Hugely entertaining as a viewer.

I guess Alex is waiting on the new pc before any new beam content. GTA is probably too broken for live streaming, and lots of things have been done to death already

yes, but i'm pretty sure forza has official supercar licensing from like 5 years ago or something, so the game just has those cars available
