  • In this lesson you’ll learn all of the ways to use the grammar form ~아/어/etc. 하다. This is commonly used with 고 싶어 하다, however it has a lot more uses with regular descriptive verbs and in different tenses, as well as can be used when changing a descriptive verb into an action verb.

I've always understood this form as meaning "to act (outwardly) as if X", which to me is the best way to remember it's use. Still, I learned a few more details today.

How do you form negative sentences with this grammer structure? For example, Is it 배 안 고파해요 or 배고파 안 해요? 햇갈려 안 해요 or 안 햇갈려해요?

You would make this form negative the same way as you would make any verb negative: ruclips.net/video/QfWzwwJQGDY/видео.html Probably would be by making the 하다 negative.

Thank you so much for the lesson! What about adjectives that are originally in 하다 form like 행복하다, 피곤하다 etc? Do you still add 하다 to them i.e 우리 엄마가 행복해해요? I've never seen anyone use 행복해해요 or 피곤해해요. It even seems unusual to me.

Yes, those can be used (and are used) as well.
