You said "Get out into nature and bring a flask" Well, you did my friend! A hip flask full of Red Breast Jameson Whiskey 🤣🤣🤣. I'm glad it aided you in your hour of need. Great video my friend!!! Defo you are getting like George Lucas with the filming. Superb job my friend!!!!! Onwards and upwards. By the way, your pack look quite full and heavy! Did you by any chance weigh it prior to your adventure? Thanks again for sharing Martin...
Well man. Cheers again for the Whiskey. Was lovely. Didn't way my bag but will the next time. It's only a 40 litre bag do for winter clothing and extra lays it takes up room. So it was to the limit. Honestly not that heavy thou. Cheers for the support Pal as always.
Martin, a beautifully calm camp in a stunning location👍 Nothing like those clear and cold evenings when wild camping❄ Loved the mist rising off the lough in the morning. A lovely looking night out in the hills👍
Hurray for gluten free whiskey! :D and your meal looked tasty too! Another great video, Martin! Thanks for sharing your experience. I still have to brave freezing temps for nights out camping, but well, now it's good to know there's GF "tea enhancer" available out there :D (gone dusting off my flask)
Mate, that made me feel cold just watching.😅great that your having a go at your own dehydrated food.enjoying your channel and the filming is great.cheers for your hard work mate.
Gluten free whisky 🤔, do you have a hangover after it ? 😅. Nice video Martin. Lovely views and reflections of the lake. Great to have a bit of company for the long winter nights. All the best 👍
😂😂 welcome to the gluten channel 😀. No hangover at all. It was my 1st time drinking whiskey. Really nice. I am now down the whiskey rabbit hole. Very nice to have the company. Dark at 4pm.. long night to go.
Congrats on hitting the 4000 subscribers Martin. Hope it continues to grow for you, always enjoy watching your videos and look out for the next one! 👍😊
Likewise. Fully convinced we were going too. It was weird cause everything was still frozen the next day. Perfect snow conditions. It was a great night. Cheers 🙂
Well done Martin and co.! looked awesome, the Galtees nicely displayed! What sleep system did you use for this jack frost night, sleeping bag and mat and did you use a liner? The headtorch as well looked well grand! Do you use a mat too under the mat for extra insulation in these conditions? keep up the good work sir! best regards from Cork
Well man, cheers for the comment. I use the Sea to Summit Ascent ll sleeping system. Comfort at -10. Good weight as well. My sleeping pad is the thermorest. Not sure which mobile. Neo Air or something. I must do a sleep system setup video. Be interesting. I have a liner but didn't use it. For very cold nights like that you can always put on a sleeping layer. I left my hat on. Sleep like a log. 😉
@@ScottRosa2008 haven't used the XMid in a while. Plus the weight as I knew I was bringing a brew with me. Another factor is the fabric. It doesn't stretch when wet so in terms of the forecast Rain or snow.. I wanted none stretch material.

Thanks you. 🙂 That is the Durston X Mod with the solid inner. Cracking tent.
By the way I have a review there of it.
Why did you take the Durston and not one of the Vangos?
