  • Spring is my favourite time of year. The days are longer, the thermals are working and there is still snow to ski. The new AirDesign Hero 2 arrived with me just in time for the good weather and I was very excited to put this light weight D glider through its paces. The forecast didn't look the best for a long cross country flight so I figured a combo would be the best use of the day.

So impressive 👏 I love it. I’m from Norway, but live partly in Chamonix. Unfortunately I didn’t start flying before 2 years ago in an age of 60, but this is my dream 🪂⛷️

Jake, can you show what the sleeve system is for your skis? I've attached mine to the side of my harness, but I don't have a system where I can just slide them in and out like you did. Or, if there is something you can point me to that shows this method, that would be great. Thanks

Inspiring stuff Jake… as two of my favourite sports, I’d love to get my level of flying big mountains to yours to enjoy similar solo adventures! Fancy doing some para/ski touring guiding? Cheers Teistan

Hi Jake, wondering if you've tried the new Rise 5 or Soar 2 wings - any thoughts appreciated. (I think your Soar 1 review said maybe it was a bit hot for a second glider ie graduating from a low B). Thanks!
