Probably the line thats most intrigued me the most in the Mont Blanc Massif. Its weaves through a beautiful hanging glacier and across an improbable looking traverse to a perfect paragliding take off. A brilliant day with Ross Hewitt.

One of the classic steep ski line of Chamonix under the Aiguille du Midi cable car. We had generally pretty good conditions and it was a great adventure to ski this part of the mountain. A right of passage.

Spring is my favourite time of year. The days are longer, the thermals are working and there is still snow to ski. The new AirDesign Hero 2 arrived with me just in time for the good weather and I was very excited to put this light weight D glider through its paces. The forecast didn't look the best for a long cross country flight so I figured a combo would be the best use of the day.

I was recently lent the new Volt 5 and Hero 2 by AirDesign. I thought an SIV style test comparing the two could be useful for people to see. Flying around MontBlanc is one of the most beautiful flights you can do in Europe. The terrain you fly through is simply stunning. Looks bomber. I have the hoji free and they are amazing, boa with cables outside is just what people asked in order to reepaie in case needed.

Jake, can you show what the sleeve system is for your skis? I've attached mine to the side of my harness, but I don't have a system where I can just slide them in and out like you did. Or, if there is something you can point me to that shows this method, that would be great. Thanks

Awesome video. Why did you choose to ski down to your gliders? Instead of fly off the summit? Just preference, or were there certain conditions that day that aren't obvious on the video?
Good question. Our goal was to ski from Mont Blanc rather than fly down as neither of us had skied it before.

what are you trying to get at at the beginning when you are pitching it back and forth? not sure if that's part of some SIV, but i really wanted to see if you could get a frontal collapse without collapse lines. I"ve heard some way you can with 2 liners and some say no.
pitching is usualy one of standard excersises to get yourself some understanding how the wing deals with energy..

Hi, Thanks! Yep it all fits in to one bag. My lighter harness was away getting repaired so I didnt have the lightest setup, but its ok.

Great review, covered the range of application for this boot really well as well as how it might work for different foot types. Boot looks boss and a real all rounder, only concerned i might need to get my ski redrilled if i get them
