I have the 90 day journal and it has been a game changer for me. As I'm writing goals and objectives for the day, it helps me stay on track and not forget what I originally intended to do. For anyone considering if the journal is worth having, in my opinion, it really is. I will definitely be buying more of those 90 day journal. Thanks Gabe!

It took me 6 years, but I found my path.
I wanted to move to warm and friendly Spain from cold Sweden.
I tried different online jobs to support myself (Im 50 plus, its time!) but finally found a full time, well paid job via a connection I made from these temporary jobs I had.
After my children were grown, I actually re-invented myself.
It is possible, we just need to be a bit stubborn 😊

I'm quite envious, I've already reskilled into completely different industries 4 times in my 20s, only to hit burnout then finding out I'm autistic and ADHD in my early 30s.
By the time I was at least able to get out of bed again without being completely exhausted I decided to move somewhere cold because I can't function where it's hot but now I'm unable to get work visa's due to age and unable to find any type of work that is suitable for my brain.
I hate this planet so much. Here's to your success! 🥂

I recently realized I needed to do something to feel more energetic. After telling my father that I have felt sluggish, he suggested maybe I wasn’t eating enough protein. I did some research, and sure enough, I was eating less than 1/2 the protein I need as a 65 year old woman. So my 90-day goal is to increase my protein every day and record my intake and already I am feeling so much more stable, just being on day 3. I am excited to see what happens to my body over the next three months. Thanks for your thoughtful video, Gabe.

Realize that TV and social media sells you a false image of what makes people happy. Play the averages. 1) Graduate high school 2) Get a skill that gives you a real job with benefits (health insurance and 401k) 3) After getting skill from #2 through college, trade school, self taught or... GET THE JOB! 4) Set a realistic goal of finding Mr/Mrs right, someone who shares your values and isn't a total loser who is just "fun". 5) Find God (this is actually #1, but didn't want to turn people off). 6) Have some hobbies that help you recharge. Good luck, do these and you most likely will never have to keep re-inventing yourself...

It's the #3 that's the hardest and you find out it's not what you know or the skills you have that count, it's who you know.
Also, there are always factors out of your control that can affect you directly.😮 You can have the best job, be the best employee but get laid off because the company wants to downsize or your boss wants to cheat on his wife and gets mad at her so lays off all of the folks she manages or because of..I don't know...a pandemic. Those are the things you don't have control over. But those are also the things that can ruin your finances in a heartbeat. Yes, yes..I know I sound bitter but things aren't as simple as you are stating them here.

My 90 day goal is to quit smoking (again! 🤦) and start walking OUTSIDE daily. The last couple years have been an emotional rollercoaster with shut downs, in turn losing our business and then losing my mom to illness, all while taking care of a large family. With quitting smoking I will find myself trying to keep busy, with that will come the decluttering. I've been in a rut for far too long now. I have put myself and my goals on the back burner to just struggle to make it through every day. I'm ready to get out of this rut and I think I can do 90 day goals. Loving the content here, keep up the good work! The first video I found got my sub.....you said "if you think you have too much stuff, you probably have too much stuff" 😂 so simple and so true!

do you have a daughter who reads the Nancy Drew books I see in your shelf? That is a most desired book in my literacy efforts in Malawi Africa where rural schools often have no books at all much less a library! Appreciate your videos. Early in our 55 yr marriage I found my JOB became making his income go twice if not three times as far. What a difference it made in our lives over the years. Self examination or assessment must be the first step. Spot on. At first we had 1 yr, 5 yr, and 10 year goals. Now as a widow I have one week, one month and l year goals. Experimentation has always been the most intimidation but wonderful part! As you said 'some times it works sometimes it don't' but the journey is terrific!

Gabe this whole video spoke to my soul, I think I'm not creative or a great manifested but I am challenging that preconception, when I look back at the moments I took the steps to learn about something got excited and then chose to do it made mistakes and then tried to make amends . The times when get out of my comfort zone is when I feel vulnerable but its without doubt when I learnt the most. We all each and everyone of us can create a life of meaning and of beauty we just have to really consider who we are and what we want xxx bless you

That always good to do. I don’t mean don’t ignore the facts in your choices but what I am saying is do what you truly will be happy with 15 years down the line. Don’t think about how it will be 6 months or a couple years down the road. If these careers are what you are gonna do forever, you might as well choose what makes you happy. Last thing you want is to regret how you spent half your life or more on a simple bad decision just because you were chasing “Status or Money” money has to be in the equation but don’t revolve everything around that one thing

    • @XanderWorden
      @XanderWorden 9 месяцев назад +1

I also am not sure what you mean by status. The only status I think of is what others think of you and if its that kind of status you cannot put that in your equation of which career you wanna choose. Its your career think about what YOU want to do

    • @FindtheNuggets
      @FindtheNuggets 9 месяцев назад +1

@@XanderWorden I am actually more happy hanging out yet need a challenge. Mega bucks would be a nice start but I would still need to do something besides spend and travel.

Reinventing oneself can bring amazing rewards. Taking inventory periodically is always a good thing, and can involve every aspect of one's life. Often a serious illness prompts a need to change in order to make the most of the time one has left. Though I tend to not focus on financial goals, certainly not to become a millionaire, although that would be highly benefitial. I am greatly interested in living life in keeping with my values, and made considerable progress in that direction. Being aware of my strong points as well as weaknesses helps with keeping on track, and knowing what to focus on in working towards balance. Being curious and learning something new and valuable on a dailiy basis, as well as striving to maintain momentum, and improvements is what I am working on.

I started a 90 day goal on February 12th, and my goal is to lose 50-60 pounds. I’m down 6 pds. Seeing the way I sabotage myself has been interesting so had to add therapy to the mix. Great video as always.

    Summary:
When you feel you have hit the bottom, and you need to re-Invent yourself, do these:
    1) Do a self-assessment. Find your passions, find your Whys, find what needs to change.
    2) Set goals. Set 1 new goal (S.M.A.R.T.) every 90 days.
    3) Be obsessed about learning about a topic every 90 days in order to build new skills.
    4) Experiment. Try doing something new that is hard/uncomfortable that you will likely fail at. It will give you valuable experiences.
    5) Network with people. Get out and interact with people and learn from it.

90 DAY GOAL: Move from Kuala Lumpur( were I currently live) back to the US. Visit family in California. Buy an affordable mobile home in Prescott, AZ, start saving to buy a lot so I can build a real pinned-to-a-foundation home for my retirement. Hey, I'm nothing if not ambitious!

90 day goal (actually about 30 days in, so, 60 day goal) - finish organizing my music resources. I'm two years into retirement and have pretty much developed what my music work in this chapter will be/is. So I can give away tons of resources to others who are starting out as a professional musician or as a music teacher. I'm saving only what I truly love... because that's primarily what I use now. And I'm still earning my way 🙂🎶

I've been on a savings kick this last month. Cut bills and canceled unused subscriptions. About $200 a month. Now I'm looking for how to invest this extra money.
Here is my question for you: As a teacher with a pension of about 40-65% at retirement and with no debt except a 2.25% 15 year mortgage. How should I invest my money extra money.
In general, how would having a government pension change your investment calculations?

In a video of yours from 3 years ago, you talked about that you needed to work on your digital organization (all the files on your laptop or MacBook). I was wondering if you found a way that works for you and if you want to share tips. If you've created a video on this topic, could you please share the link? I've been searching but haven't found it.
    Thank you in advance

People don’t want to work anymore. They want to start work late to take their kids to school and then stop early to pick them up. Go to the office? You mean you want me to go to the office? Well then how will I run errands during the day. It used to be that going to the office was the norm and people would expect to work 40 hours per week. The ambitious people would work 65 to 70 hours per week. Now people don’t want to work 30 hours per week. The easier life gets, the bar for what is hard decreases. This makes it easy for me to kick ass, because I am competing against all these people who don’t want to work, and spend their time thinking about being the next RUclipsr sensation. There is endless opportunity right now for people who want to work hard and be a good person. We are so spoiled in the US and take for granted that we get to go to a job. Attack life with enthusiasm and be grateful for the abundance of opportunity we have in this country. That’s the best way to start…

I'm capable to learn just about anything but no passion really (except for reading), no IT thing. Any help with that? Greetings from the Czech Republic 🇨🇿
