*I'm deaf in my right ear which is why I'm not wearing headphones. I know, it's a bummer not to get the panning sounds. It's also been a bummer to only have one ear my whole life for lots of other reasons, like, playing telephone growing up, I was terrible at it. Katy was the first person I ever stanned, and I can't believe these stans in here are telling blatant lies... Katy does not write all her music by herself.. Yes, she plays a huge part in all of her music (backed by other singers she CO WROTE with, like Sia, etc), but she definitely doesn't self write "most" her music. EDIT - and there is nothing wrong with that!!!

I can’t listen to “the one that got away” and “thinking of you” because it hits me hard. Both songs are so good but I can’t listen without feeling sad, everytime I hear the song I just think of the videos which makes me wanna cry. I hate crying too ughhhh katyyyyyyy

I think Katy Perry is one of the most undervalued pop singer, she is able to write in every single song that she puts into a record. Personally, Katy is an amazing artist and it's PURE pop. The Witness album was not successful, but God, the lyrics are so deep and the instrumentals are magnificent. Songs like "Save as draft", "Miss you more", "Power" show us a new version of her and we need to appreciate it. Good video! i love your channel !!!!
actually the album was successful, I mean it had a top 5 hit, it was #1 on billboard 200, just not as successful as it should have been in the US because worldwide the album was a smash

This is probably one of my favourite Katy songs just cos it was one of the first I heard by her! It was also one of the first songs she ever self wrote herself which I think is pretty cool! If you do react to a live performance of her, DEFINITELY do Thinking of You!! She pretty much kills every live performance (in a good way haha) she actually performed it at hotel cafe a couple weeks ago so I’d recommend that performance if you do decide to react to one :) great reaction as always jersh and congrats on 20k subs :))

technicallyyy this is from her second album; her first is an album called ‘Katy Hudson’ from 2001. it’s a christian rock album that sold about 200 copies. this song is from her 2008 album, ‘One Of The Boys’, which was her pop debut. one of her biggest hits, I Kissed A Girl, is also from this album, and worth checking out. her third album was 2010’s Teenage Dream (youve reacted to California Gurls, Last Friday Night, Firework etc), which was actually the second album in history to have 5 Hot 100 #1 singles. Then in 2013 came ‘Prism’ (the album with Roar, Dark Horse, Unconditionally etc), and 2017’s Witness (which includes Chained To The Rhythm)

This was actually a song she wrote by herself in 2002. she used to preform it in pubs and other small venues way before I kissed a girl was even a possibility.

The ONE OF THE BOYS (2008) era had a lot of guitar driven songs in terms of the singles as well from Katy, kindof bit more of a pop/rock feel and a bit of grunge to it. The video also uses MATT DALLAS (from KYLE XY) as cameo as the soldier. He also appeared in JAMES BLUNT's video for GOODBYE MY LOVER (alongside MISCHA BARTON from THE OC) and another earlier video acc. to wiki. Katy co wrote a song called I DO NOT HOOK UP (also LONG SHOT) which both were given to KELLY CLARKSON for her ALL I EVER WANTED album (2009). and has writing credits on a few other songs into the 2010's (BLACK WIDOW by IGGY AZALEA ft. RITA ORA (2014) for example). Lyrically yes, although I can understand the sentiment, OTOH I also tend to agree some people can get WAY too tied up in their relationship status and having things all wrapped up in that they forget their self worth and can become a bit melodramatic. Haha.
