Thanks for reacting man, Avantasia is one of my favourite bands. They do tend to jump around a lot of metal sub-genres so their songs can be vastly different from one another.
"Moonglow", the album this song is on is essentially one continuous story, so this song is just a piece of that story.
The story more or less is about a nocturnal creature struggling to cope with the reality of boldness and beauty and ends up resorting to the darkness of the moonglow to hide itself from the world.
Tobias Sammet is an absolute genius! He is a musical composer of the highest level! He is the new Beethoven! His Avantasia are stratospheric! The most beautiful music you can listen: "Heaven Metal". 💫🤘💫
look for the songs " Avantasia " and "Avantasia - Sign Of The Cross " thats Avanasia Hymds from the first cd as the Projekt not as so big was plant .....and Tobie the most Time work with his normaly Band Edguy on tour war and in a side Projekt Avantasa started......for me best songs from Avantasia and always played at the concerts

All Avanatsia albums (except the Lost in Space Ep's) are concept stories that even continue across multiple albums. 1st Story - (The Metal Opera, The Metal Opera Part 2) 2nd Story- (The Scarecrow, The Wicked Symphony, Angel of Babylon) 3rd Story - (The Mystery of Time, Ghostlights) 4th Story - (Moonglow, ???Next Album???)

Well Avantasia was a classic power metal band long time ago, but changed a lot when "The Scarecrow" album was released. Since then, Avantasia "jumps" into different styles of metal and hard rock, mixing and surpising us with so much variety of songs, and they're all fenomenal.
I had already suggested that you listen
to "Ghost in the Moon", but I want to add "Book of Shallows". Is not the most popular, but trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Hansiiii! Sorry, I can't remember rn if you did Blind Guardian yet (well, even if you did, there's never enough Blind Guardian reactions). Tobi is amazing, but for me Hansi basically steals every song he sings on.

Great reaction as always. Looove this song, so extra special seeing you feel it as well. Joern Lande is a master, and Hansi a legend. Top it with the genius og Tobias and you`re all set. You should really revisit these. Masterplan for Jørn, and Blind Guardian for Hansi. Spirit Never Die, and Wheel of Time for example 😀
