Thanks Dylan bud, appreciate your continued support and kind words and I'm pleased you're enjoying the videos. Yes I have eaten Flounder, a delicious fish and very much underated. Working my way through your vids Gareth and enjoying them all. Nice brace of flounder. Don't tell anyone else [!] but about 500metres downstream from where you are here used to regularly produce conger over 10lbs. Casting at right angles to the shore, aiming at the end of the dock pier. Decades ago Plaice & dab used to be regular catches from Magor to Goldcliffe. Ah yes, I know the spot you're talking about...I sometimes fish to the right of there, moreso on the Usk mouth and some big Congers still turn up from time to time. Unfortunately the Plaice, Dab and Pouting no longer turn up, it's a bit sad. I'd like to think that one day they will make a return but I'm not that confident at the moment given that most stocks are still commercially overfished. Hi mate, cracking video, is the Transporter Bridge mark ok low tide?
Great video! Do you know if this mark can be fished low tide? Thinking of going Sunday. Also do you know if its a clean ground mark? Thanks
Thanks Rhys, glad you enjoyed. I wouldn't have thought you could fish over low water as there will be too much mud in front of you. I would say 3 hours before and 2 hours after should be fine but not bang over low. 👍👍
@@riversidewithme Thanks for the speedy response, is the Transporter Bridge mark ok low tide? Just thinking of getting about on the weekend
@@rhysburton6424 No mate, sorry. The same applies to the Transporter Bridge. Not really any low water marks around Newport to be honest, tend to fish them on the flood.
@@riversidewithme, hi guys I've tested the mark on a low spring 0.6 metre ,,I was able to fish 1hr from low only cast 30 yards past mud , on a good neap 24hr fishing ,lol cant say how many fish are there though, , this is my favorite mark ATM,, best bit no snags
@@fishingforfun7683 Thanks for the info mate, appreciated. I've only fished it once and so I'm no expert. 👍👍
A great video and it's nice to see different marks Gareth , tight lines for the festive period 👌
Thank you Kevin, appreciated as always. Yeah I like fishing different marks, something a bit different. I've fished the so called popular marks many times in the past. Same to you, hope you manage to wet a line over Christmas. Cheers 👍👍
