This is a section of the 4 minute sequence about Michael shooting BTTF and Family Ties at the same time. As some of you already know, our Time Machine is featured in this scene, as well as I play the “Props Guy” handing the actor portraying Michael the JVC Video Camera, which was our very own camera that the production used.
This film is incredible! The way, as you can see in this clip, that director Davis Guggenheim and his team reinterpreted footage from Michael’s career and match it with recreation sequences shot here in the Vancouver area. This documentary is unlike any doc I have ever seen before.
It is an honour to play a small part in Michael’s story as a kid born and raised in British Columbia, Canada and from Chilliwack (where Michael lived when he was very young) it means so much for me to be in this film! It may only be 5 seconds, but it is 5 seconds I will never forget! Thank you you Michael, Thank you Davis, Thank you Jovan, Thank you Terry, Thank you to the cast and crew of Still!

The editing here is so ridiculously well done. To think that someone had to trawl through hours of Michael's work to get these shots to match the recreations is insane. But it pays off in spades. One of the best scenes of the whole documentary!

Dedicated actors like Michael J. Fox spend a lot of grueling days and sleepless nights just to make shows and films look good and be successful and they deserve to be admired and respected for that.

Pretty sure the recreations were scripted with the preexisting footage already in mind, but yes...fantastic editing here.

A perfect example of how the life of an actor isn't always glamorous, it's also hard work that takes real commitment. You gotta admire Michael J. Fox for all this.

This is by far one of the best edited, well shot, and well structured segments of ANY documentary I’ve ever seen, I think the music just makes it all the more better since it’s literally music from the film Back to the Future, truly inspiring and even though this ridiculous work schedule took a major toll on Michael, I hope he realizes just how worth it it was because Back to the Future is one of the greatest films ever created, if not the greatest sci fi adventure flick ever created period.

Apparently 2 hours of sleep is all you need to make something iconic.

By day he was Alex Keaton, by night Marty Mcfly, Michael J. Fox’s time filming Back to the Future is like the life of a superhero

The transitions in this 4 minute video alone are some of the best that I've ever seen. You feel every bit of devastation and confusion that Michael felt and it keeps getting more exhausting with every day that passes by in the span of a second.

  • @SarahForeshadow13
    @SarahForeshadow13 Год назад +14

It was probably exhausting. Also consider that Alex Keaton and Marty McFly are so vastly different. To quickly alternate between the two would’ve been exhausting enough

It would be a great comedy movie based on Michael J Fox’s experience between his TV show and back to the future .

The way the shot catches him walking from the back. It’s a hero shot for a hero who had no idea how iconic he was going to be.

    Mr. Fox,
I just gotta tell you how BLOWN AWAY I am @ 1) your determination to work BOTH Family Ties, which I did watch & BTTF! (Which I’m still a HUGE fan of, to this very day.)
    2) And your performance didn’t suffer a single bit.
I CAN’T imagine how crazy EXHAUSTING it must’ve been to accomplish this task & @ such a young age.
3)Hiring you as Marty McFly was…NOBODY could’ve played it the way you did. You NAILED IT!
THANK YOU for making BTTF as AWSOME as it was on your end.
Hope this still makes it ALL worth it, even to this day, hearing from another big fan.
    Really hope we meet someday.
I am a fan of some of your other work. Teen Wolf, Doc Hollywood, etc.
I’ve heard NOTHING bad about you as a person, so really do hope to meet you some day.
    Take care.
P.S. Years ago, my wife got a DeLorean toy car for Christmas.
Ironically, her last name IS BROWN. (Knock on wood).

I'm asking if they used deep fake to young Micheal J. Fox in some documentary scenes.

I don’t think it’s deepfake, just using scenes with him that would work

They never show the actor portraying young MJFs face. If you see Michael’s face it’s reinterpreted footage from Michael’s career
