Thanks, Nick. This was a lot of fun! Enjoyed getting to know you better. Biggest spark was from the top five influences question. I realized I probably have a top five, too. And those could be a good springboard for new thinking.

Hey Nick, Thanks for answering my question. Loved this video. As always, your energy, pacing and transparency inspires. What answers really sparked? You won’t be surprised to hear that it was all of the inner guide ones - all of the answers that related who you are and what you value to what you actually do in bringing your tremendous gifts to the world. 💕

What a wonderful video and so nice to get to know you even better.
What inspired me most was what would you do, even if you failed. The coaching of a football team! How exciting is that! To support the team in making their innings and scoring their points. That is leadership!
I guess for me it would be learning from people, what inspires them, what moves them, and how to get super geeked out and nerdy together!

Really great answers. Thank you for sharing candid and well thought out responses to real questions.
What stood out to me were subtle thought-provoking anecdotes into the concept of determinism vs. freewill. In regards to the seniors in the weight room vs. your mentality; and Viktor's fellow captives vs. his take on will to meaning. Whether explaining behavior is as simple as one's choice to pull themselves up by their bootstraps, or how much being a product of our environment factors in. Behaviors are a topic that I often capture into my pkm to be made sense of.

i’m with you as far as analog tools for more task/time management type things. helps me feel way more grounded than a digital tool. your explanation of how you used links to form a holistic view of the editing industry was super illuminating. it’s a great framework for forming a knowledge base around something outside of an academic context. thanks for this!

Maybe you'd dig the Jibun Techo, idk. Glad you enjoyed my approach to the editing industry. I'm kind of doing the same thing with the literary industry now, though in far less of a sustained, concentrated way

Currently in the process of moving more towards analog note taking (not completely, but mostly). Got a lot of reasons for the switch, but I'll still stay subbed, love your content.

See what ratio works for you. When making major shifts in your PKM system, it doesn't hurt to journal what's currently not working, and if that is a common theme with the past several approaches. Maybe there is more to unearth that can help with understanding what is personally needed

I haven't read Don Quixote, yet I've absorbed much of the plot and symbolism from popular culture. I have a deep regard for "The Impossible Dream" from The Man of La Mancha. It's time to read the novel!

I'm putting a pin in that workflow - write-map-write, zoom in and out... add + relate + communicate. I also made a note of books mentioned and am going back to Dante (and other classic lit), spending less time on news that no longer surprises. My vault is actually called "selva selvaggia" (the "forest savage" in which Dante started his journey)...

Love the approach and the nod to Dante's journey in your vault's name. Keep exploring and connecting!

Thank you for answearing my question to the ai topic, i love your insights and your open minded walkthrough, even at a topic which is hyped this much and probably has the most friction right now, because its really fast development !

Thank you for answering my question 🙂. Puting deadlines on output, I never considered that ( I was always linking them to tasks). The other answers that interested me ( created the sparkle), there is one about "Michael Sugrue" channel, and may be the one about the flow book.

It is interesting, other than Classic Novels, I saw no obvious similarities or parallels in our interests or influences. That is the beauty of LYT though, it is simply a concept that can work for anyone regardless of who they are, what they believe and what they do. In our increasingly polarising western world I find myself gravitating to products, companies and voices who bridge the gap rather than adding to the wedge.

Will AI make PKM obsolete?... No. Because there's a difference between operational wisdom and analytical solutions.
The example i like to give is an Architect versus a Fire fighter.
An architect has time, to think, double check, analyze, plan, account for every variable *before* the foundations are laid and building commences. Even once building has commenced, besides the arbitrary time of completion (in a builders contract, not necessarily binding), there is *nothing* that prevents work taking longer or shorter amounts of time, and it can even be destroyed and started over from scratch.
A fire fighter does *not* have the luxury of time. They can't simply press pause on a burning building to consult blueprints, plan the absolute best route of getting people out. Furthermore even if they did, once inside the building there's no guarantee the conditions wouldn't change violently (e.g. beam falls blocking a door they were just about to head through) and force them to alter the plans... what then? No blueprints, no time. Or do they just stand there and take beam to the head?
In such situations a fire fighter has to react and re-evaluate in real time. And to do that they need to have knowledge on hand in the forefront of their mind. Not in some computer even if it was an AI. Because first there'd be a time lag, second AI's get things wrong (as seen in Tesla crashes, etc).

Passive aggressive. I don’t think that’s what you mean. Passive aggressiveness is a dysfunctional behavior. I’m new here. I like your videos, Nick. I want you to get it right. Try again. ❤
