The mystery pipe at The ABANDONED Apartment ep8

We have turned a corner, literally, in the building of the new partition walls.
Going up this time is the bathroom wall, and just as always, we are removing yet more plasterboard! Will it ever end?
Also, we find a mysterious pipe........

from what I see of it , it could be a old vent pipe for a gas wall heater. It looks like the double wall pipe we use now .. do a smoke test to see if it's still venting to the outside. if it is you can get a cap from a hardware store to cap it off

It may have been a vent for the bathroom, but it was located just outside the door, so not really sure. I have ordered some smoke matches, so if I hear the upstairs neighbour suddenly start coughing, I'll know where it goes!
