I have these and their expansion and they are fun and versatile. There are lots of alternative uses as well. For example, if you just need random rooms and aren't doing a crawl, you can just draw one or a couple of these to provide ideas. So good!
Thank for for this, I really enjoyed watching your adventure. Given how many 1s you rolled against that Hell Hound, I’m surprised that you were able to have any characters survive the first room let alone all of them. Your satisfaction at defeating the Hell Hound was obvious. I have to say that the Deck of Many Dungeons is awesome and one of my favourite RPG aids. I’ve never used it with Four Against Darkness, though, so I’ll be interested in how you got on.
I had a similar close fight in my solo game today. It was a Demon Dog in Barbarians of the Ruined Earth. Those things split into 2 dogs when they take damage. I won with 5 out of 27 hp left :O I never thought I would solo game but you and Stoneaxe Tabletop Gaming inspired me and Im having a lot of fun. Thanks!
Thanks again for the great demo. Microlite20 is such a decent and elegant system but without much graphics and visuals sadly it is so underrated. There is a very compact and surprisingly useful random adventure generator for microlite20. The Deck of Many Dungeons is a wonderful resource especially for gaming on the go. The Lego microfigs (only 1x1 stud, not the regular minifigs) fit perfectly in the grids and are real fun to use!
OMG you are so right about those Lego figures! I may still have some in my house - I need to check now immediately. Yes totally agree with you about the Microlite system. I am going to do a separate video on it because I think it deserves much more exposure. It is so elegant and flexible. Thx for the comment and suggestions
I’ve printed out the deck from pdf and laminated the cards. Will use them at garycon in the open gaming areas. But my system of choice is AFF2e. Your use of microlite and Raging Swan miscellany with them gave me some ideas. Thank you. And give my regards to the hellhounds.
Glad you enjoyed the vid. I used a bunch, tbh. I have printed out so much stuff over the years I didn't detail what I was using. There were some advance rules, some "revised," and some from the "essentials" as well as something else... If you are part of that community and could share this vid with the facebook, etc. group(s), I'd appreciate that.
Black cubes? Time stamp? I see white, red, no black tho. Short answer-they are cubes. Pretty common & im afraid I don’t know where I got them. But if I’m missing some special black cube please give the time stamp
Nah, don't ditch those dice. I play Barbarians of the Ruined Earth based on The Black Hack. It is roll low. @geek gamers would've had several critical successes in a row in that game :)

This looks great! I love little decks like this. So useful, and easy to store.

That's so great to hear! And thanks for the mission report. Sounds like a great encounter.:)
I hadn't heard of Microlite - it looks very interesting!
What a great little setup! I feel your pain with the 1s - thanks for sticking with it and filming the rest of the game 😁
It was a great little set up. Good way to describe it!
I'd love to see a Microlite video.
Wow, showing how to play with cursed dice is educational in its own way. 🙂
Thanks again for the great demo.

I would love to see your take on the system. Thank you for another great video!
Picked this deck up a couple weeks ago. Great tool to help the solo GM/gamer. Thanks for the look
Glad you enjoyed the vid. It really is such a great tool--should be more widely known.

I’m howling at the ones you’re rolling, poor party 😂
I just bought Deck of Many Dungeons and It is a cool deck of cards!
That was a lot of ones, especially on a d20.
Quite the clever product....
Nice video. Which version of Microlite20 did you use?

@@GeekGamers01 OK.
Where do you get those tiny blank cubes?
Black cubes? Time stamp? I see white, red, no black tho. Short answer-they are cubes. Pretty common & im afraid I don’t know where I got them. But if I’m missing some special black cube please give the time stamp
@@GeekGamers01 “blank” as in nothing on them. And thank you
Oh hah! My glasses! I’m sorry I just don’t remember…
@@GeekGamers01 lol no problem thank you!
Those pesky 1 rolls are inevitable and when you get multiples in a row, disheartening.
I really wanted to give up but as the vid shows, the dice taketh and the dice giveth!
Ditch those dice lol!
Nah, don't ditch those dice. I play Barbarians of the Ruined Earth based on The Black Hack. It is roll low. @geek gamers would've had several critical successes in a row in that game :)
Fair point. I stand corrected. :). Set aside those dice for low rolling games then.
