    This video is really well made and nicely edited. It's baffling that you only have 480 subs - now 481! Keep up the good work, I love the mascot art!

      Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to have you as the newest addition to our little community. I'm still trying to figure out what kind of content I want for this channel, so your positive feedback is much appreciate. And I'm glad you like the mascot art - it was a doodle from my friend Cat (@catsi_nook on instagram). See you on the next video 🚀✨

    Nice video! I have an older copy of the deck, but have not used it in a campaign yet because some of the cards are pretty brutal. I had not thought to "rig" the deck or remove certain cards, so I will consider doing that. Cheers!

    I love this video. As an excited player / DM I was lucky enough to see Dragon Magazine in the Summer of 1989, read up on the Deck of Many Things. As a new DM and a Campaign that imploded a short time later, I learned that some planning should have been in place for each card. If it were in fact to be drawn, the event could be played out. That way you the DM are not as surprised as the player drawing the card.
    If I were to have a Deck of Many Things used in future campaigns, I would have a player make a saving throw, instead of simply being hosed with bad luck of the card drawn, or the minor effects as stated in your video.

      I love the saving throw idea as an extra precaution, i'll remember that!

    Can you please make a Tutorial on how exactly you made your own Deck? I think my players would
    appreciate a handcraftet deck way more than one from the store.
    Great video by the way!

      Thanks so much! I probably won't do a whole video but I'll maybe out it into a short. In the meantime, here's my process;
      Buy some cheap white card. Measure and lightly mark out your cards in pencil. You can cut, but I like to tear them out. To do this neatly, fold the edges really hard back and forth then carefully tear along the fold. Then create a stain using teabags and a pinch of coffee in hot water. Use a sponge or teabag to dab the cards in your stain and place onto some tin foil. Put into the oven at about 200 degree celsius. It won't take long for them to dry. Check after a few minutes and flip the cards over. A few more minutes and they should be bone dry. They may have adhered to the tinfoil but should peel off quite easily. Then use whatever pens you want to create your desigs. I would practice your desigs on scrap paper before going onto your stained cards. Good luck!

    By the time our GameMaster got through with these they had over 300 cards. And it was sheer Forrest Gump "You never know what you're gonna get" because no player was allowed to peek at the GM's list. There were absolutely no benefits to owning it outside of cards having a useful effect, sometimes powerful, just a little bit more than half the time. But three different characters died when they drew three different "wrong" cards. Using it became an absolute last resort by the time the rest of us hit about sixth level. The players who'd had characters die were still about third or fourth by then with their new characters.

      Wow, thats the biggest deck I have heard of. I would love to get a peek at your DMs list of outcomes haha

    I expect to see this in our campaign pretty soon then hehe… or maybe this is a sign to put it into the campaign I DM you in 😅
