If yall need something more in depth, here's the original script from one month before the video released:
To start, The thinkphone costs 399$, 300 less than the previous 699 MSRP (because nobody knew it existed.) and because of that, the Thinkphone is an amazing deal, containing flagship internals, but more on that later.
    Onto the unboxing experience.
The box is pretty plain, other than the bottom which contains information about your device.
The inner box contains the Thinkphone’s included case, a quickstart guide, some legal gibberish, and the sim eject tool.
The main box houses the Thinkphone itself, and under it is the included power brick that supports up to an impressive 68 watts, as well as its cable. That is enough to charge my Thinkpad, which is a laptop!
Peeling way the paper reveals a Aramid fiber backing (which is a more durable but heavier version of carbon fiber) and a flat screen with a cutout camera and slightly rounded edges.
The initial bootup has the usual android setup process and an extra motorola section for marketing. The stock experience is mostly bloat free, although there were a ton of google apps installed by default that I had to delete or disable.
Build quality is great, the whole phone feels very premium and solid while being thin and light. It also has good specs, although they are 2 generations behind, but you can’t complain for $399. It features a Snapdragon 8+ with 8 gigs of ram and 256 gigs of storage. Many websites say you can choose to ugrade it to 12 gigs ram and 512 storage but i've viewed the purchase pages of the US and other countries and i can’t seem to find an option so that may only be for businesses. It has a 6.6 inch OLED display calibrated to DCI p3, but it doesn’t have an always on display so if you want that you will need a 3rd party solution. The Thinkphone also has stereo speakers, one on the bottom and the earpiece usually used for calls.
    DRAMATIC BOLD TITLE AND STUFF
Ok so heres dissapointment time… motorola had the COURAGE (on screen bold title) to remove the sd card slot and headphone jack. (a few seconds of silence) jokes aside, it really is pretty annoying if you want to game and 256 gigs may not be enough for some people so an sd card slot would be way more versatile.
    anyways
Camera wise, the Thinkphone features a 50 megapixel main sensor, a 13 megapixel ultrawide, a 32 megapixel selfie camera, and a 2 megapixel depth sensor.
You can’t take photos with the depth sensor, but its there to help assist the phone for blurring the background in portrait mode. Its worth noting that most flagships don’t have this sensor and just use processing to figure out the subject. So while in theory the depth sensor would make better portrait photos, many people say its just there to make the back look more impressive.
The main and ultrawide take decent photos, but can’t match the flagships. Do keep in mind I don’t own any other flagships to compare it to and i’m just relaying other reviews, but if you are like me and don't take photos very often, its definitely good enough. There is also a macro mode, but it doesn’t actually use a macro camera, instead, it crops in on the ultrawide. Its also worth keeping in mind that the regular photos are pixel binned, meaning it combines some of its 50mp into around 13, allowing for better low light quality and file sizes. However, if you want full 50 megapixel images, you can use ultra resolution mode, which takes photos in 8192 by 6144, but it does suffer in low light images. There are also other modes, but I will just put them on the screen and write some summaries for them, pause if you are interested.
Now for the pictures I took.
(talk about main and ultrawide photos)
Now heres an interesting topic: charging
I got my charge monitor and recorded it for a Very long time. It charged very quickly but after around 60% it started to slow down massively. It charges at around 55 watts, which is very fast compared to the current gen iphone 15, which charges at 27 watts or samsung’s s24 which supports a max of 45 watts. Battery life is exceptional, i regularly end the day with 40% with regular usage and since getting this phone, have not needed to charge it other than at night.
Software time, The thinkphone ships with android 13, and has gotten monthly updates. If you choose to get it, you will get 3 major android upgrades, and 4 years of security updates. meaning you will get up to android 16. Currently you can update to android 14, but there is a caveat. The later you get this phone, the moreannoying the updates. You have to update this phone one by one, this meant it took me 2 hours to finish updates. It lets you use the phone while downloading thankfully, but its just annoying to need to wait. The later you get this phone, the worse it will get because of the monthly updates.
When you first plug in the Thinkphone you will get the Experience Hub, which allows you to choose between several modes of operation.
The mobile desktop is similar to DeX if you know what that is. It turns your phone into a computer that allows greater multitasking, Infact, I wrote this script and edited this video using my Thinkphone instead of my usual setup. Other than that, the TV, Video chat, and Games section just displays a prettier and simpler UI for if you are projecting to a TV.
Benchmark and gaming wise it performs very well (but i mean, it is a flagship chipset.)
While doing benchmarking, i’m comparing the Thinkphone to the XCover 6 Pro, a business centered phone made by Samsung. I also had a S8 while filming but it was on android 9 and could not run the benchmark, which is 3dMark wild life extreme. The XCover has a midrange snapdragon 778G so its no surprise that the benchmark score of the flagship snapdragon 8 plus is 4 times faster. (i’d just like to mention that the XCover is almost double the price currently)
Performance in games are also exceptional even if its a little slower than the current snapdragon 8 gen 3. What i’m showing is Minecraft pocket edition, which may not be a very demanding game but I did max out the graphics and render distance. (wait until i get stuck) Ignoring my amazing minecrafting skills (cut off)
Next is emulation, which I am playing using the RazerKishi and balanced performance preset on the motorola game app. Here I am playing Ridge Racer 5, a ps2 game. considering how difficult playstation2 can be to emulate, it does it very well, hitting a consistent 60. Next is mario kart double dash, which also runs very well. keep in mind that this entire session resulted in me losing around 5% which is really impressive (at least to me.)

144 hz screen which operates very smoothly while navigating
Consistently get left with 40% at the end of the day
It's got a in screen optical fingerprint
Motorola has public repair manuals for all their phones
    Aluminum sides

I didn't even realize but I misspoke. It is currently running Android 14 with monthly security updates and will receive up to Android 17 (when it comes).
