  • "Eagle Ridin' Papa" is a song recorded in 1930 by Big Bill Broonzy. The song's authorship is attributed to Thomas Dorsey, and this version, performed by Tuba Skinny, comes from their first public performance during the COVID 19 pandemic. Although the band played with a depleted lineup (Erika Lewis and Todd Burdick were missing), the performance was extremely successful. NOLA, December 30, 2020.

Thank you very much. This is one of my first attempts at "tuning" video recordings of my most favorite band.

Was Big Bill Broonzy not one of the Famous Hokum Boys? "Eagle Ridin' Papa " was written by Thomas Dorsey.

Thanks for your comments. I'm not an expert, so without going into details, I've changed the description a bit. I hope that in this form it is acceptable.
