I found your channel about 30 minutes ago and I am already watching the third video of your fascinating channel. Monaco, menton, Paris are some of my favorite places. In the ocean of travel videos your videos are like precious pearls to me. Thanks and all the best to you two.
I live in Menton. Glad you like it, as you tourists, keep the place alive. The reality for residents, is as you would imagine, different. All that said, for a family it is a nice place to chill. One hint, always ask for a French language menu; otherwise you might pay a tad more in your native tongue.
Thank you so much for your kind comment. And that's so true, living in a place is always so different to visiting. I imagine Menton is still a special place to call home though. PS thank you for the tip!!
Hi there! Would you share, what is the current situation in your area ( let's say between Nice and Imperia in Italy) for jobs in all sectors? I'm an EU citizen and I speak only Italian for the moment, so think to relocate in the italian part while I learn French to move to Nice later...
I've just discovered you! 'Liked & Subscribed'! I'm visiting Menton in December 2024 and then on to Sanremo for Christmas! I'll check out your channel!
Aww amazing, muchas gracias! Thank you so much for watching and we’re so glad you enjoyed it 😁 Hope you have an amazing time in Menton! It’s so beautiful 🤩
The kids and I are going this summer. Using this video as a guide. Menton is high our on list. Great video guys and thank you for all your efforts. I subscribed too.🥰🌻🌻
Ahh thank you so much! You will have such an amazing time I’m sure, Menton is still one of our favourite places 🥰 You’re welcome, the pleasure is all ours 😀 and thank you for subscribing, it means a lot to us 🙏
By the way in Gagnes-sur-Mer, between Antibes and Nice, you can see house of Pierre-Auguste Renoir. french art man, Mougins , 20 minutes from Nice airoport , Picasso villa and museum there, with love from New Jersey, USA
Thank you for watching ☺️ it really is such a wonderful part of the world 🥰 Ooh sorry, we should’ve said in the video! It was called Pasta & Basta - it was absolutely delicious 10/10 rating from us 😍😄
Yay, thank you for watching and so glad you enjoyed it! And it's so true, it definitely tastes different - can't explain the science behind it... but it does 😆😍
We just returned from Beausoleil, France, next to Monaco., its 20 minutes from Menton, we used to rent car . Bigest problem all these places in August , its parking . To get Menton and parking from Nice its a problem. Most cities from Nice to Genova, Italy the same, they beautiful , but highway between Nice and Genova in Alps and driving not so easy , even reach this high way from Nice. In Monaco up to the end of September exubition Mone, french art man , 150 his works from all museums of the world.
Great vlog! Starting my France trip in Menton this July. Would you recommend the restaurant in Ventimiglia? If so, do you mind sharing the name? Thank you!
Ah thank you! That’s so cool, you’re gonna love it I’m sure. Definitely! We loved that it was a cute little trip across the border and the restaurant wasn’t toooo far to walk from the railway station. It was called Pasta & Basta :)
Thank you - yeah there was one day where we forgot the mic cover and the sound was a bit spoiled 😭 But we still wanted to share it anyway. Hope you enjoyed it still ☺️
Enjoyed your video guys, thank you. If you loved the ambience in Menton, you should go to Eze and Ville-France, as they are equally photogenic and gorgeous for photo opportunities! Cheers from Australia
Ahh thank you 🙏 so glad you enjoyed it 😃 Wow, yes! We read about these places and wanted to squeeze them in on our visit but ran out of time. We will 100% be returning though, as they look equally stunning! And cheers, we’re hoping to make it to Australia this year! 🤘🤩
@@BenandMarnie wonderful! I’m going to Menton mid January next year, so can’t wait to see that area again! Love your enthusiastic narration btw! Cheers
Hey Paula! We stayed in an Airbnb up the hill a little. It was easy walking distance - the only minor thing is that walking up the hill can be a bit of a chore when it’s very hot, but it’s not too bad. We always go for value for money as we don’t mind walking. The main sights in Menton are across a fairly small area though, so anywhere in the old town or nearby will be just fine for exploring ☺️ We walked to the train station from the old town quite happily as well. Hope you enjoy your trip there!
THANK YOU, YES MENTON IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACES IN THE WORLD. I LIKE THE SHOP MAISON HERBIN WITH ITS HUGE RANGE OF HONEY. IN VENTIMIGLIA ON FRIDAY THERE IS A MARKET WITH WONDERFUL AND CHEAP LEATHER GOODS. NICE VIDEO. THE SONG... OH NO... PLS.
Aww thank you so much, that means a lot! It is honestly so beautiful and one of our favourite places. We have plenty more videos and adventures on the way which we cannot wait to share! We would absolutely LOVE to explore Grasse and the surrounding areas more on our next visit 😍😍

What time of year were you travelling to this gorgeous place.
It was July 2022, one of the most beautiful town’s we’ve visited 😍
Beautiful video. What month did you visit?
We went in July 2022 🥰
I have an apartment here - great video guys but it is pronounced “Monton” 😊
Thanks for this. Hopefully you can work with your volume issues! We could hardly hear you with the wind and the music😊.

Trying to decide where to stay for ease of exploring and dining out at cafés. Do you think old town or up the hill a bit?

Great video!
How much was the train ticket to Italy?
Train travel is actually super cheap! Menton to Ventimiglia return is about £4, so roughly €5 ☺️
Nice to Menton is about £5 (€6/7)
@@BenandMarnie Thanks!

Any border people to deal with going to Italy on the train like that?
Hey, no there’s no border control, you can come back and forth freely 😀
Hey thanks guys! Same story if we took a train from Nice to the Amalfi coast?@@BenandMarnie
@@freefrankgable it should be the same but might be worth double checking 👍
❤ BEAUTIFULLY DONE! When you return to Nice it would be our pleasure to host you, by the Old Port... and to share an exploration of GRASSE❤

Ahh sorry if there were some iffy bits. We are having a few mic issues on this trip!
It used to be part of Italy hence its charm
Yeah, we read up about that! Absolutely fascinating. Such a beautiful place 🥰
