I don't take sponsorships for reviews, as a personal rule, I just feel that blurs the line a bit too much for my comfort level. But I'm glad you enjoyed the video, those were definitely the kind of vibes I was aiming for! :)
I am currently playing this on my PS4 pro and enjoying it very much. I bought the digital deluxe edition, and the physical for Switch just in order to support Rabbit and Bear. The only graphic issues I've seen so far is the blurry graphics at times but I will assume this will be fixed. The soundtrack is nice and gameplay is very fun and engaging. However, the locailization of this game is absolutely horrendous, an atrocity and a total disgrace - English is my third language and even I cringe at this god-awful localization. It's like the entire thing was localized by an bunch of children! A total disgrace and @505games should be ashamed of themselves - especially since this entire project was funded by fans. This has left a sour taste in my mouth and I will be very cautious with buying anything sequel-related to the game in the future. It's a great game for Suikoden fans but that localization needs to be redone from scratch. Hey Derek, I hope your cat is doing well after his stroke. Please give him a pet or two from me :)
Buyers beware! According to metacritics reviews, this runs like garbage on the Switch: framerate drops, long load times, crashes. Some reviewer even reported that he had to create a save file on an original switch and transfer it to his OLED switch because the game wouldn't even start otherwise. Also the file size is 30GB on the Switch, which is the same file size as PC and PS5. Because of this, it is very unlikely that the cartridge will contain the full game.
I just hope there aren't missables. I asked them on the Reddit AMA if there would be any missables, and I used the time-based Clive events in Suikoden 2 as an example, and they responded that there wasn't any missable content that that would require time limit or major redo, but they didn't say there wouldn't be any at all. If there is ANY missable content, I've got to wait for a guide, as I don't have time to play games more than once unless they're like 10-20 hour games.
there isnt really any that im aware of. the game is pretty good about not screwing you over. items required for recruits can be found in chests and mob drops so you have a wait to get it again if you sell it. as far as im aware theres no timed events either.

I got my Kickstarter backer copy in the mail about a week ago. I've been waiting to play until the official release date, just in case there are patches. Looks really fun, and I hope the story winds up being intriguing. Should be a really good one.
the party in battle is 6, but you can recruit at least 110 characters overall for various roles in your army. not all can be used in battle but most of them can.
@@Jerrel28 Overall runs pretty well. Game is a beauty, but on the world map there can be some pop in and the load times are on the longer side, especially in bigger areas. For the most part it doesn't detract from the greatness so far. 😎
Is that... a Hydlide inspired logo? Bold choice, my friend. Those environments in Eiyuden look gorgeous. And that green monster hanging from the ceiling, too. This game is definitely looking like the PS1 era evolved for modern times.
I will await the extra story DLC before I play it- not a fan of returning to jrpgs months later to play extra content unless... its persona, but thats a diffrent story. game looks good though.

Unfortunately, it sounds like this game is way too tedious and lacking quality of life features without any good reason.

this game was made by people who made the original suikoden games.. so it would of course be very similar
