The Mi LED Smart TV 4 is Xiaomi's first TV to be launched in India.
This Mi LED Smart TV 4 has a 55 inch 4K HDR Supported LED DIsplay and has 4 speakers and an inbuilt subwoofer.
The Mi LED Smart TV 4 runs Patch Wall which is Xiaomi's customised version of Android 6 Marshmallow. It has a quad core processor, 2 GB RAM and 8GB internal storage.

Vu tv would better in the long run, stock android, built in chromecast, better speakers, more ram, more rom, dled backlight, sturdy frame, native support for many more apps for content streaming, like youtube app which natively supports 4k videos, more usb and hdmi ports, better remote with voice search with google assistant better service and after sales as compared to xiaomi, more saturated and punchy colour reproduction, no flash sales, and no malfunctioning of hdmi ports unlike mi tv 4 also when the apps are screen mirrored many run in potrait mode, also not much hdr mainstream content is available in india, so in a long run it is better to opt the more trusted package i.e VU the only thing that falls in favour of xiaomi are the aesthetic appeal and aggressive pricing

I just brought the 55 inch mi tv . And the tv wont play 4k videos. It plays in 2k . It wont play webm format . Anyone else have this problem ?

Hi C4ETech!! Great review as always. I currently have an old (8 yr+ old) 40" Sony Bravia LED TV. It has Sony's Motionflow XR 100hz frame rate enhancer technology - fast moving scenes like action sequences and sports events are still great to watch on that TV. I was thinking of getting a MiTV 4 to replace it, but how is the 60hz frame rate on the MiTV? Does screen tearing happen on fast moving scenes? Awaiting your reply. MiTV owners also please share your experiences
Good review. You are the only Chanel which showed that RUclips has 1080p support. The irony is other channel beat around the bush around patchtv and all. Because RUclips is the de-facto if anyone wanna watch 4k other then obvious options. Kudos. Do TV review and especially regarding detail review and comparo especially. Was absolutely heart warmed when you addressed the flash sale fact. I couldn't even get close to ordering it inspite of 5 flash sales. This is quintessential cheap marketing. They are compelling us to opt for unconventional methods to purchase this. It could have been done better by Xiaomi.

@C4ETech How is the input lag on gaming consoles(ps4 pro,Xbox one ) ,do frames drop and become blurry, hazy in fast moving action games(FIFA,FPS games) ? Because a lot of people are complaining about the same.

Hi, I am really excited that Mi has launched the TVs in Indian market.
One thing I would like to add, Mi should also launch their flagship ultra thin split screen display tvs with separate motherboard and audio console with woofer to India. My personal opinion is that Indian smart tv customers would prefer pure Android based ui, rather than the Patchwall OS. Internet bandwidth is still not readily available / affordable especially to buyers in the suburbs, who are known to be Xiaomi's loyal fans. So, there should be Stock/Pure Android Certified OS varient models also of mi TV with dedicated Google Play Store. The RAM & Internal Memory should be increased to at least 3GB & 32 GB.
I know, I'm asking for too much, but whoever other than Xiaomi could fulfill a common man's dream of owning high end devices at an affordable price!

But a little more focus on the video quality would be good (the major purpose is picture quality, as you said sound, smart features can be fitted), how does HD content keep up, etc.
Can you compare the picture quality with VU, Sony etc

Decent TV review. Some more detail if included could've made it better. Color gamut, response time value, input lag value, performance (text readability, gaming) when connected to computer as monitor and 4K image compression type over HDMI (i.e. 4:4:4 or 4:2:2 or 4:2:0).

How does the audio work with an external audio system like an onkyo? especially for online content that is playing off the apps on the tv? Does the IR cable work with the STB if the STB is routed thru the Onkyo?
We could make advantage of the mouse pointer when Bluetooth keyboards and mice are connected! In the tv
