RIP Joey Jordison, one of the greatest to ever play tf outta the drums
Loved his drumming. RIP
Appreciate how open minded you are and the fact that you went out of your comfort zone. Awesome reaction.
No problem boss, it was fun. Thank you for the support
Being open to new perspective is a sign of a conscious evolving human being.
“ nothing evolves in a comfort zone“
Everyone can have knowledge but, only those with perspective will have wisdom.
It’s awesome! Good job!👍
I like how the first band you pick is one of the wildest bands you could’ve pick in my opinion
Lmaooooo chill Luke I didn’t know
Uh... I think Archspire would disagree haha
@@louiscirigliano5896 as well as GWAR lol
One of my favorite bands, and began the Slipknot journey not long ago. But their music, energy, message and their talent grew on me.
Their songs can be visceral and chaotic but also melodic and chilling...it´s a rabbit hole that just keeps going!
Loved your reaction brother...music is a form of expression, and we all have something to say, right?
Never forget the first time I'd ever heard/seen them, they were an opening act at Ozzfest.
The whole fricken drum stage, rose up in the damn air, drummer strapped in, never stopped, fastest drumming I'd ever heard, and the WHOLE THING SEPARATES FROM THE STAGE AND RAISED UP, AND TURNS UPSIDE DOWN, AND DRUMMER NEVER MISSED A BEAT.
I was absolutely blown away.
Sh*t you not, I was mesmerized.
Very nice reaction
Yeah, people think metal is one thing, or one sound. It's literally the most diverse genre there is. It's where the most creativity is.
That reaction was fu*king great!!!! Loved seeing this. You’re a good dude. Peace and love from Boston
You should check out Corey Taylor (the lead singer) sing Snuff Acoustic! Dude has an absolutely amazing singing voice. The ability to go from this to singing acoustic and back to this is just awesome range.
Respect on the reaction. Bro. I'm a big slipknot fan and nice to see someone new digging them.
I was there, it was fucking amazing 🔥 also Just see them Sunday gone at download again
Loved the reaction bro, new sub right here, right now!!!
I really like that you went and read the lyrics, Slipknot lyrics are epic and deserve recognition, very deep, very poetic, and they never did get enough credit for their talent
You got it right when you commented that different genres are more alike than youd think from the surface.
But think about, regardless of where we come from and who we are, we all experience the same things.
Love, Hate, Death, Creation, Destruction, Ignorance, Knowledge etc.
Everyone just puts it to their own beat.
If you ever get a chance to go to a big metal show....it might be worth it just to experience the energy. Imagine that energy you had listening to that, going for a whole show, surrounded by all those people having so much fun
@@mayadog2497 You’re right 💪🏾 and I definitely want to go to a show. I’ll make it happen
Metal and rock has gotten a bad rep as being evil or violent, but for the greater majority, it is all about releasing energy, self reflection, having fun, and camaraderie.
Slipknot has something for everyone, tested through a 20+ year career and still running.
I know as a youth, with little means and great instability in my family life, slipknot would fill me with a sense of worth and power that I lacked in my life.
Not a destructive rage but a construction fire that helped me forge a good life against the odds.
You have discovered one of the greatest vocalist of all time Corey Taylor and I encourage you to keep digging. Check out his other work as a front man for Stone Sour and CMFT. He also has a son Griffin Taylor, who is a vocalist in the band Vended along with Clowns son.
Check out gone sovereign and absolute zero by Stone Sour
I am a Maggot to the core, and I love that you are becoming a Maggot as well. Welcome!!
As a maggot of about 20 years, one of my favorite guilty pleasures is watching people listen to Slipknot (and other metal bands) for the first time, and just watching that smile beam across their face as they realize the thing they never thought they could like turns into something they love and crave more of lol. (Ps, "maggots" are Slipknot fans...I sometimes forget that not everyone knows that lol. 😂)
Loved the reaction man! I think listening to a wide range of music introduces us to groups of people that we might not have understood before. I grew up a metal head, but love me some Tupac, Biggie, and similar 90’s rappers. I grew up in a city that was as as white and conservative as a bowl of mayonnaise. Listening to 90’s rap helped me understand or get an idea of what my melanated brothers were going through. It helped open my eyes to injustices and difficulties I never would understand as a white kid. Thanks for letting me talk my ass of here.
This is the song that got my 12 year old into slipknot, welcome to the maggot family!
Also, you are correct about how the music genres of metal and rap being the same, thats why i love slipknot, corey basically raps in metal form and its beautiful, he has a very nice voice without the screaming too. His lyrics mean something usually personal to him or the band in general. Psychosocial is about his time in the military and what it did to him mentally.
Most people don't even bother with the lyrics, respect for that.
If you want your mind to be blown, check out Jinjer - Judgement & Punishment.
I appreciate that, thank you for watching

This is a female lead metal band called Jinjer, even the girls can slam.
metalheads take care of each other cause we're all we got! Just like you had a bad impression of metal and metal fans before giving it a chance, a lot of people NEVER take that chance and live their whole lives with hate. We're not all perfect and nice, there's assholes everywhere in every genre, but in general we're just people who've been through pain and use music to express that.
I love your reaction! This band is amazong!
Your face when Joey starts spinning is some funny shit
Falling In Reverse Popular Monster.
Another awesome Slipknot song is the live acoustic version of Snuff. Beautiful song
"He did that in purpose" lmao welcome to the fold bruh 😂
what a lot of people don't know is that Cory was very bullied and was very exposed at school so his lyrics are the hate what they exposed him to and how he felt about them
You should watch Ramstein playing Du Hast in Paris. You won't be disappointed!
Going to watch them at #Download2023 in 9 days time - cant wait - 85-90,000 people 🤘🤘
120.000 People at Download/England.....
Check out Corey Taylor's performance of Snuff and Bother , in London just him a guitar and his massive vocal talent. The audience is amazing. ☮️💜🤘🔥
Welcome to Slipknot my friend! Easily my favorite band, and the most fun concerts I have ever been to
Hope to see you check out more Slipknot!
Why did you cut out the whole "go on the ground " part? That's kind of the reason to watch this live video. I like that you checked out the lyric, though.
I definitely should’ve kept that in. I just sat there in amazement
lol a genuine pog moment
Dancing to the intro
That’s that Pierre 🥲😂
Why didn’t the whole video play? Why was it cut?
The key to more subscribers is more Slipknot
If you wanna really see Corey Taylor’s range, check out his other band “Stone Sour”. I’d probably recommend the song “Looking Glass”
Now you need some Rammstein in your life.
Slipknot Wait and Bleed!!!
it woudlve been better if u didnt skip coreys speech when they were about to jump the f up but still im glad u reacted to one of my fav bands
More nu metal 🔥
Bro you picked the wrong version or you edited out the best part. (How he gets them to jump, when he says). To bad.
Yeah my silly self edited it out. I was literally just sitting there in amazement. I didn’t say a word so I thought people wouldn’t want to see that
Too bad you cut out one of the best examples of crowd control ever.
thumbs down man
