The craziest thing about Slipknot is how diverse they truly are. They obviously project the image that they're just a screamy metal band, and sure, one of them is usually on fire at any given time, but what they really are are nine hugely talented and hugely creative musicians with all sorts of different influences. Slipknot can kind of genuinely just do whatever the fuck they want, and that's exactly what they said they were going to do from the beginning.
There is literally thousands of aggressive songs out there. Yet Custer since the very first WHOOA HOLY SHIT time I heard it. Blew my fucking mind the aggressive power here. I am picky on my bands and the music I will listen to. Not only does Slipknot qualify Custer is definitely a GO TO song when needed. This doozie can get shit out of you. Loved your reaction and YES YOU NEED TO DO MORE SLIPKNOT TRUST THAT.

First time on your channel and while I will admit alcohol may be involved (damn them 17% beers), I am highly entertained! Hard to believe as hard as you're thrashing to this it's you're first time really diving into Slipknot. Others have chimed in with some info but, I'll make some suggestions based on your reaction to "old school" and "new school" Slipknot.
Old? "Heretic Anthem" and "People=Shit" Nothing against songs like "Duality" or "Before I Forget" because I fucking love them too. But clearly you've demonstrated a love and passion for the harder sound so just jump into the deep end! :)
For newer, "Chappletown Rag" is solid but, my preferance would be "Nero Forte". And for the latter, pull up the lyrics if you want to see Corey's lyrical genius as there's an embedde "vertical lyric" (for lack of a better term) right after the breakdown. "Why did I not see your true face until it was too late. Lie! Lie!" ... 16 lines to convey that. Lyrical mastery!

If you love this then you’ll really love Slipknot Gematria. That song is unrelenting and heavy as a hard core Metallica fan Slipknot is my second favorite band. They take some influence and many of them are Metallica fans themselves.
Pantera " Hell's Wrath" just may top that song. But its close. FYI.

There recent two albums are ace too - heavy and angry but far more polished than early Knot.
