those old c cabs gave you an excelent reason to maintain a safe following distance.setting over the front axle assured you were the first to arrive if you rear ended the vehicle in front of you.
If you were going down hill with a good tail wind you could maybe boost it up to 5.5 mpg lol. Just imagine what it would cost to drive on regular today
That is a fact, the right manifold gasket is shot, as well as the pipes and mufflers, i have replacements, just need time. Dual 3in 50 series flowmasters is the plan.
@@fruitfarmfords8243 I had f 600 no where on it did it read super duty, or even heavy duty... there was an industrial 352 and a non industrial 352 engine.. take pics and post ur claim

Did keep you honest.
That was a great line of Ford trucks forsure💯💯💯👍
Love it! It will last another 50 years. Just keep the strait 30wt topped off in it.
Engine idles pretty smooth. these C series Ford trucks were perfect for city delivery,or anywhere a short turning radius was needed.
Nothing like a manual choke to make your day.
They have personality, you have to have finesse and know what your engine wants, its becoming a lost art.
That is so cool! I’ve never seen this year of truck on the interior. My first car was a 1962 Chevy 3/4 ton 2WD pick up four on the floor
Awesome😁
Cara que o cara que tá fazendo uma filmagem até muda
Yep
A fine truck!!!!
Thank you!
Almost see the gas running out the exhaust!! Thirsty beast!! Have fun, torque city!!
We had one at our fire dept that thing loved gas 😆
Very rare straight 5 speed
Rare? Like 60 or 70% of the 7 or 800 series produced in that era.....
My eyes are burning from the over rich carb.
More than welcome to come tune her up for me.
I drove one of those in the early 80s got around 5mpg on a good day
Sounds about right, i hadn't figured the mileage yet, but i was guessing around 4. What were you hauling back then? How much weight?
If you were going down hill with a good tail wind you could maybe boost it up to 5.5 mpg lol. Just imagine what it would cost to drive on regular today
Oranges about 9 tons per load when empty I'd probably get maybe 7mpg if I didn't hit heavy traffic
Whoa 😳
Be nice to see a pictire of the truck
Go to my channel, there is another video of it titled cold start C900, shows the outside. I have no editing abilities, sorry.

Is a toy for people RICH!!! VERY RICH.
I saved it from the scrap yard
people do not know what they have, then they cry because someone else gives them value and then they cannot buy it because it is no longer garbage
Nos dejo iniciados con ese carrazo hubo o no restauracion
Can't believe the glue sniffers around here arguing there wasnt a super duty engine back then 🤦
Did all those dome lights come from the factory with the hole in the center? I've never seen one that wasn't broke out LOL
They weren't broke, the lens melted
There's a localish guy selling a c900 with a 3208 cat in it and I think I need it
That would be sweet, the old super duty engines are hard to find parts for and hard on fuel.
Top
All the way to it!
Cool engine but ford made a bigger engine the made a 534 Ford BIG Block
They also made a smaller one, in the super duty family, the 401. Then there is the GAA hemi, but thats another animal all together.
The 534 was a bigger cube engine but the used the same block as the 477 engine a great up grade for your truck
Gostei nunca tinha visto um por dentro
Thank you!
Its only introduccion ? es solo introduccion ? Ai love V 8 . and American engines. Please ... more open trottle. and max speed !!!
Mas cadê o caminhon
Roadway express
É um bobo de marca maior
Mhm
sure could use some exhaust work.

Well now wasn't that educational
Lo quiero ver de afuera,, no tanto de adentro buen intento 🙄
Mira el inicio fresco vídeo.. esforzarse más. 😎
Super duty wasn't used in the 70s
Correct, the FORD SUPER DUTY engine family debuted in 1958. The 401ci, 477ci and 534ci.
