Well, when I was a kid, Czechoslovakia, the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia were our neighbors...
However, Hungary lost the match against the Soviets at the soccer World Cup of 1986 by 0-6, and a few years later, The Soviet Union collapsed. Then, when the still existing Yugoslavia (containing only Serbia, Montenegro and Kosovo) beat Hungary in soccer at the 1998 World Cup qualification by 7-1 and 5-0, and the few years later, the remained Yugoslavia collapsed too.
So that's why I'm worried about Netherlands, after beating us at the World Cup qualification of 2014 by 8-1...

If e.g. Korea was reunified, we most likely wouldn't say "Now South (resp North) Korea doesn't exist any more" but rather "The Rep. of Korea (resp. the DPRK) doesn't exist any more", because that would make a lot more sense. ;)

Unfortunately for central america you made a mistake central america didn't gain independence from spain in 1823 because in reality central america was part of the first mexican empire and when the empire collapsed central america chose to form its own country

Central America indeed gain indepence from Spain in 1822, however there were proposals to annex to Mexico but they were denied and instead, Central America formed a federation that lasted a few years.

So, should be #1 be North and South Vietnam, not just South Vietnam, as there were two countries that merged into one?
1:57 here, the 1997-2003 flag should be used, I think, to make it more authentic, and maybe add a transition to the modern flag
