Honestly, you have to ask yourself: if you don't hit the gym at LEAST 5 hours a day, what are you doing with your life? These people are complete fucking idiots - instead of "informing" the world with their super offensive fake information, like giving a hypothetical example, they could be making the world a better place by making their own bodies look slightly better (to some people) by spending a shittom of time at the gym! emirite guize?

      Aesthetics cannot be neglected. Aesthetic is Rhetoric both in relationships and business. Your health is a separate thing despite the overlap, and both are critical. Attractiveness is not important if you're satisfied with a difficult time finding a partner, a good job, and social status. If you work twice as hard maybe you will get the same of one or two of those things.

I'm sorry but that's the most shamelessly pathetic excuse for the supposed 'unattainability' of a healthy body I've ever seen. It plays into the unfortunate stereotype of the lazy, hopelessly entitled millennial who expects their perfect life to fall into place without effort. You people should stop spreading this defeatist bollocks as it may discourage people from making the decision to improve.

    • @youmaykissmybutt9407
      @youmaykissmybutt9407 7 лет назад +14

      I believe it is attainable however I think the video was suppose to refer that if you’re not obese nor underweight and just considerably healthy then you shouldn’t have to lift weights or build muscles just to be seen as “sexy” or “hot”. You should just be you. Now if a person is obese then yeah they should work hard but their goal should be to be healthy and not “attractive”.

    • @arnis71

      it is unattainable for some because of how the human body is made. Bone structure, muscle insertions, muscle bellies etc are all genetics. You cant grow 5 inches by working out now can you? The same goes for your broad shoulders or narrow waist. You cant train those

      Something can be attainable for one person but not for another.
      For example, I'm tall and skinny. I'm strong but most of my muscle mass isn't particularly physically impressive. I can improve on that, and I am, but I'm not gonna try for a Chris Pratt body because I simply don't have the frame for it. And that's cool. I have other interests and I'm good-looking enough for the people I have the most fun with.

    • @mariosblago94
      @mariosblago94 7 лет назад +13

      It is unattainable if you do not have the time for it. If you work from 9 to 5, you don't have time to waste 3 hours in the gym. The job of those men in the media IS to work out and be hot. That's the difference.

    • @MrKnick-qi5hj
      @MrKnick-qi5hj 7 лет назад +2

      Andy Monserud, I too am tall and skinny. From age 16 to my early 20's I was 6'2 and weighed 145-150. Despite working out regularly I never gained much muscle. For the last 6 months I've made a change to my diet. I now force myself to eat 3000 calories a day. Since then I've gained significant muscle mass while keeping low fat. Sure I don't have the skeletal structure to look like Arnie but it still a major improvement.

      Mario Sergio, you only don't have time for it if you choose to not prioritize it. I work 9 to 5, 5 day a week job and I manage to fit in my schedule perfectly fine. It doesn't even have to be 3 hours, a 45 min daily workout can make a world of difference.

    It's weird, but when I was a kid, “shredded” and “cut” specifically meant having very low body fat.The idea was that you could easily see muscle fibers, and muscle separation. Now, shredded and cut mean having both low body fat AND a very large, muscular build. Shredded and cut were originally used in bodybuilding to describe the ideal state for actual bodybuilding competitions, but it was not considered ideal between contests, as it was too difficult to maintain super-low body fat at the same time you were trying to build muscle. Now it seems we have to be genetically gifted, shredded, hyper muscular,...essentially perfect, at all times. Yes, woman have had to deal with much of that all along, but the world is worse off for men joining the ranks of the objectified, and everyone should be set free to just be healthy, not “perfect”.

    1:19 of course not that's called overtraining, your muscles grow when they're recovering i.e during sleep not when you constantly assault them every day. Only people on PED's can annihilate their muscles in that kind of way

    • @OnePlancheMan
      @OnePlancheMan 6 лет назад +24

      It's only overtraining if you do full-body workouts every single day. if you do a split routine, such as push-pull-legs, you can work out every day. Besides, even if you do go full-body, you can still split your routine between strength days and cardio days.

    • @viveremilitareest9281
      @viveremilitareest9281 6 лет назад +10

    • @legendariersgaming
      @legendariersgaming 6 лет назад +4

      Ok, but you still need to give the body time to use the material from the food to repair the muscles. If you are barraging your muscles with exercise and not giving adequate rest then they will never repair and recover. Give a person all the bricks in the world, if you don't give them any time to build a house then the house will never be built.

    • @OnePlancheMan
      @OnePlancheMan 6 лет назад +3

      Muscle recovery occurs during sleep. Besides, when you do a split, you're not using the same muscles every day. For instance, your arms are resting on the days you work out your legs, and vice versa. Likewise, push-pull-legs gives you two days of rest for all of your muscle groups.

  • @ShadowCastPro
    @ShadowCastPro 6 лет назад +154

    The difference between men and women from what I see in this comment section, is that men don't moan about their desired body types, instead they get it if they wish to get it, and understand that a woman is more attracted to a man who has more muscle. However women, in general, always moan about how the media shows "unattainable body types" and that it's not fair when realistically, a woman is in the exact same position as a man in this scenario, they are just less likely to have the motivation to get up and do something about their unhappiness with their body and want men to accept them for who they are, but probably won't go vice versa.

      BuyingOGNames But you’d go for a 200 pound woman?

    • @Yukalitlee
      @Yukalitlee 6 лет назад +9

      There's something that you're either forgetting or overlooking. Women are built to have more fat on their bodies as they are the ones who grow another human being inside them. Because this fat is more necessary on the female form, it is more difficult for the average woman to slim down as easily as the average man. Especially considering the roles evolution originally placed the two genders in. Men were typically fighters, while women were providers. Also, keep in mind that weight doesn't always dictate your level of health. Female athletes don't tend to weigh an ideal 120 lbs. And women who are taller weigh more at a healthy weight for them than shorter women at a healthy weight. Honestly I think people obsess too much over numbers on scales. It all really depends.

      No because an ideal male body these days is realistic. Everyone can achieve it. I know it's hard but definitely not impossible. A woman's body on the other hand is supposed to be slim/athletic but with curves which is just unrealistic considering the fact, that boobs and butts are basically just fat.

    It was interesting until the end then they pushed some all goody bull crap. No matter WHAT the body preference or ideal image is, you should always aspire to be fit; if for no aesthetic purpose, then simply to be healthy. This whole idea of "Body Shaming" is bull, if you're considerably overweight, yes it may be hard to hear, but you need to cut those pounds, not rock those heart problems. If you're incredibly skinny, you need to start being more active and athletic, don't succumb to health issues because people say it's okay and that we shouldn't shame you. PS 90s body expectations weren't unattainable if they were set by people in movies id est the rock who attained them.

      Whether 200 pounds is a lot depends. For a 7 foot tall man, 200 pounds isn't a lot. For a 5'6 man, 200 pounds is a lot. For 6'3-6'5 200 pounds is not that much like you said, but it's not skinny.

    Whatever body you have IS the perfect body. So long as it's not a health issue, inflaming a health issue, or causing a health issue. Extreme standards are bad, but unhealthiness due to 'acceptance' is even worse.
    I'm one to talk though with a BMI in the low 40's.

    I’ve never worked out in my life, (like doing ab workouts and going to the gym), but my dad always took me working ever since I was young and my mom always fed me healthy food. Also I rarely eat any chips or go to fast food to save money on useless stuff. And I’ve never noticed it until few years back I was lean ass fuck and had a 6 pack, I still do but damn it took years without even noticing.

      no, being fat and unhealthy will never be attractive.. biological and evolutionary factors has made us hardwired to never find that shit attractive. Youth, fertility, being slender, feminine women will always be attractive for guys and strong, tall, masculine, dominant men will always be attractive for women.. That will never change, it never has throughout the history of mankind and never will

  • @barnabuscollins8800

    Okay okay I enjoyed your video, and it was rather accurate until the very end. Muscle is not "unattainable" I started out as a skinny kid, then I got fat, then I got tired of the bullying and lack of self confidence so I gained muscle and trimmed out my stomach fat. Guys, you can look like Vin Diesel if you want, you can look like Chris Hemsworth, the only question is how much are you willing to work for it?
    No, I will not tell you every body is beautiful. Why is it suddenly a hate crime to not be attracted to morbidly obese people? Healthy will always have an attractive look at any decade. You say that self esteem in men is dropping and you're right, but ever considered it is because we are getting fatter and lazier every year and that attracting a partner in those circumstances is much harder (directly because of the lies you are spreading about not trying to look attractive or care about your unhealthy fat). Working out and eating healthier was the best thing I ever did for myself and my relationship.
    This message of "society" is the problem is complete bull shit. It is YOUR fault if you are morbidly obese and on death's door, not society's. 400,000 deaths a year from obesity, yet "perfect will be whatever body you rock"???
    "Trying to live up to any ideal is a waste of time" Really? So let's all go Buzzfeed and say that women with armpit hair and mustaches are attractive now. Living up to any ideal is attractive. When a man or woman tries to look attractive for you, it is highly flattering. When a person takes care of themselves for you, wears the clothes you like, and tries to do the things you enjoy (living up to their ideals) it is an incredible and attractive thing to do. Stop with this reckless "body positivity no matter what" garbage because obesity is gross and causes heart issues, low quality of life, and even death. Why can't your message be to "be healthy and look the best you can for your partner and you will have higher self esteem, live longer, and attract more people"?
    Fuck outa here with your bullshit

    It’s always been like this; get over it, both sexes. If you don’t fit a universally popular body and cannot attain it from working on yourself then there’s still always someone for you.
    Insecurity in relation to body “standards” shows more toward human narcissism than to a supposed society against people deemed different. People often aspire and obsess to possess these admired bodies to make others think of them more highly and to not just impress one person in there life but to make all swoon at the mere sight of said body.

    I’m going to go ahead and confidently assert that being evenly proportioned, well defined, and muscular has always been attractive. Just from a purely evolutionary standpoint, that never has and never will go out of style. Any woman who’s says they’d pick a dad bod over someone in shape is either kidding, not looking at the two side by side, or lacks confident in their own appearance.

    • @yogalover2753
      @yogalover2753 Год назад

      It depends on the dad bod because some dad bods do look good. But I myself do prefer someone that's fit too because it shows they take care of themselves and aside from that, I'm into fitness as well.

JUST BE NATURAL!!! FULL BODY WORKOUTS!!! WORK!!! ACTIVITY!!!! youll be stronger than any body builder!!! ;p;p;p;p you will be your "perfect" self. the way God intended you to be ;p;p;p;p;p;p!!!!!!

No. Do I think a girl will leave me for a man with bigger muscles? Yes. Do I get jealous of men with bigger muscles? yes. Am I trying to get a body like that so that I can get rid of the jealousy and make the girl I'm with happy and not dissappointed in my body? Yes.

    Ok I'm just going to be completely and possibly brutally honest. I've been noticing nowadays that people are just trying to make themselves look perfect and hate the way they look. Nobody is perfect people and I understand that keeping yourself presentable is very good and important keep doing that, but there is something I dont like and it is that people are either putting way to much makeup on or spraying to much cologne or just going crazy about your looks. It's really ruining how life is for people and the people who are pressuring (key word I said the people who are pressuring) is causing this mess and whoever it is really needs to stop. Nobody is perfect I'm not perfect, you are not perfect, everything is not perfect (I'm not putting religion in this just no not happening). If you need to be motivated about this again just either read this comment or just go talk to someone like a counselor. The rate of suicide keeps going up because of this and it's true stop being sensitive about this topic because people who are filtered and sensitive about it needs to wake up and understand that it's true. It needs to stop. It really does and I'm probably going to get hate which I probably wont understand why but it's really stupid when people put hate on something that is helpful.
