- In this Video I took you on my journey when I got my placement. I'm really happy with my placement and I can't wait to meet my hostfamily and spend my exchange year with them. If you're also going on an exchange year, comment where you're going to if you already know it:)
Just for clarification, my old host family couldn’t take me because they already had an exchange student for this year, which is from Germany and it didn’t work out because we both speak german.

My father bought a house in florida and i was there 2 years ago and my English improved so much, in my opinion florida is the most beautiful state, also the themeparks were great, i wish you good luck and much fun in florida
You'll be 100% Americanized by the time you leave Florida. You already look American & sound almost American( except slow speaking).
The 1thing I wish you had is a host brother or sister of your age ( to experience life together as typical American teenagers) but overall your experience will be great.

Learn to drive, get u a Florida license as soon when you get there.
You don't want to depend on your host parents for every little thing( they probably be happy to let you use their extra car . That's what I would do if I was hosting an exchange student).

i‘m sixteen and no I didn‘t choose the state. But you could do a state choice, which you‘d have to pay extra money for.
