Dear Americans & all other Nationals. The Guards are not 'chocolate box' Soldiers nor 'theme park actors.' They look like 'em but they are, in fact, Serving Soldiers. Real ones. Guarding the King & Co & the Castles etc. Give them a break as they would prefer to dress as Soldiers but have to dress in the 'Ceremonial' for Duty at the Castles etc. They do not mind if you stand next to them for a photo but consider this - You Could Be A Terrorist. They Are An Easy Target. They shout like this rather than shoot you dead as they might in other Countries. So just leave them to Guard.
Hey, as an American, I get it. Personally, I view these guards' jobs to be the same both in practice and in principal as the marines who guard the Tomb of The Unknown Soldier. Just because you don't understand something's importance doesn't give you the right to disrespect it.
When I was a kid we visited the guard's station in front of the gold vault at Fort Knox - we were told not to step beyond a cable on the ground. While the soldier was talking to someone else I slowly put my foot on the cable for a brief second. Almost immediately the guard got a call stating that group had to leave b/c someone had stepped on the cable. I learned my lesson that stepping over boundaries has consequences.
I very much like the idea that the modern State Of Israel has universal compulsory military service. All able bodied young citizens of a modern state should serve in a capacity that doesn't clash with their moral standards. That would be a great first step to teaching youngsters about discipline and respect . . . even if they don't get it at "home" or in public schools.
I totally agree. I feel all teenagers who have finished high school should be drafted to do one year of military training. That might give them the respect they lack for the full-time serving soldiers.
@@pambriggs3411 thumbs up. Thanks for your reply. But don't you think the word " respect " is over used and much abused ???? I do. You can't change the human heart by mere training. But we can insist upon courtesy. Courtesy is an outward sign showing something that may not be going on inside the person. But that's all we have while we're in this physical dimension. Courteous or polite behavior can be drilled into us by externally applied discipline. The traditional martial arts demand courtesy as part of good practice. It's a start. Life and / or death will do the rest.
@@piehound I agree with you. At 75 my brain doesn't work as fast as it did and I couldn't think of a better word. Courtesy is definitely the word to use and something that should be taught at home not by teachers at school. If the parents show good manners and courtesy to others, their children should learn from them. Unfortunately, parents don't seem to discipine their children, and I don't mean physically, but by telling them what is right and wrong. Perhaps learning martial arts would be a better way.
When your thighs can't get you the attention you think you deserve, even from a redcoat😂 there are several levels of respect and his profession deserves all of them. They, on the other hand, are only worthy of level 1 or 2 respect. Level 0 doesn't exist because he can't pretend they don't exist, unfortunately.
The Police have no jurisdiction for that. The people are in public or on publicly-accessible property. The Police can only deal with lawbreakers. No-one here is breaking the law. If the guards are being laughed at, then someone in the Palace should be asking why. Perhaps it's simply because the public no longer sees them as doing something worthwhile and finds their behaviour comical. Parents must stand in front of their children before letting "authority" near them for national service, conscription or any other form of slave labour and genocide. The problem isn't that children aren't being forced to shine shoes for hours at a time, make hospital corners or march to a beat. The problem is how our Dear Leaders are destroying our way of life and our economy. Our children are looking at 15-Minute Cities, Chinese-style total surveillance and Kill Rates' 3D printed "meat" and bugs for dinner. If I was their age, I'd be pretty disrespectful too. Oh, wait ... age isn't really a factor - being able to "see" the system for what it really is, is.

Kids raised in the southern United States would not behave like that. They are raised to respect other people.
So just leave them to Guard.
as an American, lmao, lol even
Hey, as an American, I get it. Personally, I view these guards' jobs to be the same both in practice and in principal as the marines who guard the Tomb of The Unknown Soldier. Just because you don't understand something's importance doesn't give you the right to disrespect it.
Generalizing much?
If any one of them were standing alone, none would be acting this foolish.
Gotta blame the adults in charge of the groups
When I was a kid we visited the guard's station in front of the gold vault at Fort Knox - we were told not to step beyond a cable on the ground. While the soldier was talking to someone else I slowly put my foot on the cable for a brief second. Almost immediately the guard got a call stating that group had to leave b/c someone had stepped on the cable. I learned my lesson that stepping over boundaries has consequences.
They get butthurt over a line like they special the guards are useless robots
I very much like the idea that the modern State Of Israel has universal compulsory military service. All able bodied young citizens of a modern state should serve in a capacity that doesn't clash with their moral standards. That would be a great first step to teaching youngsters about discipline and respect . . . even if they don't get it at "home" or in public schools.
THEY WOULD BE ON THE FIRST DINGY OUT. QUOTING. HUMAN RIGHTS BECAUSE SARGENT SHOUTED AT THEM
I'm prepared to wager that you're beyond 'military service age'. 🤔
That is a very prestigious assignment and those who are honored to serve in the capacity take it very seriously.
It's so 😢 sad that this guard 💂♂️ has to put up with these disrespectful people
And they have to put up with his self inflation!
Pure ignorance
There should be police telling the crowds what to do. Should put those kids into military training for a little while.
Shame, shame, shame on the chaperones for allowing this behavior and not properly stressing to show respect and dignity.
Such disrespectful idiots sooooo rude well done to this lovely guard for shouting at them this guard deserves respect when on duty ❤❤❤❤💂💂💂💂
If you are a sentient being whether adult or child, the next time you witness someone as rude and disrespectful as these louts near The Guard, speak up loudly and clearly tell them to have respect or leave immediately. Keep it up until they do. Never tolerate this shameful behavior.
If it's a school party inform the person supervising the children.
I totally agree!! How I wish I had been there!! I see this kind of behaviour in Australia where I live, too. What hope for the world if this is the next generation 🤬
I didn't see anyone on the rope, who was he referring to?
thank you for your service
They wouldn't find it funny if he stuck his bayonet up their backside. So disrespectful to a serving soldier.
I don't think they were doing any harm, just being a little cheeky. That said,we went to Windsor Castle one hot August day when I was 10 and I must have been encroaching on something somehow because it was said to me that if the guard saw me doing whatever I was doing he'd stick his bayonet up my 💥 (I don't think it was meant literally, just a warning to me to be careful or behave). That was a long, long time ago now but I'm pretty sure these guards will have precise rules and instructions they have to adhere to and something one of those youngsters did strayed over the line somehow. They'll live, and it must have provided something extra about their day to talk about.
Disgusting behaviour do these neanderthals think are soldiers are there for there entertainment these soldiers deserve respect
That's why there should be police about..what bloody rude people.
Well done!!!, those immature teens
Good on the guard they need telling at
Where was the school leader or guides/scouts or whoever they were supposedly with. If my children behaved like this they wouldn't be going on another. Shameful.
First time these kidds hear a clear word. Look how small these bigmouthes are after...
Totally out of order, why no back up. One day one's going to snap. Stood there being Humiliated ffs.😡
2:27 he yells
An electric fence would be nice.
So depressing to see this. Our society has declined so much in recent years.
😂😂 everyone is so sensitive they are kids like wtf they are laughing so what
Shall I take a group of 30 or so teenagers to your workplace and have them film, point, laugh at you and otherwise break rules around you, whilst you are working?
@luuk341 does he work in a popular tourist area, then yes it would be expected part of the job
Always the same issue mate, a group of young disrespectful teens with NO SPERVISION AT ALL. So where are their guides teachers parents/ whoever was supposed to be looking after them nowhere in sight. They are the ones who should be held to account for this total disrespect and lack of any sort of manners. I know for certain if this was Australia there would be a price to pay for this disrespect.
Thanks mate Glad the Guard made them jump and move back.
Keep Safe Keep Strong 🦘🦘🦘🦘❤❤❤❤
I bet these little darlings have never heard the word no. And to be shouted at must have hurt their feelings and damaged their mental health......good init.🤣🤣
England themselves making fun of their soldiers. They are using their soldiers as a showpieces.
They are disrespectful and wrong to be like that but they still better behaved than a lot of British teenagers abroad.
oh, you know that do you? are we talking about all teens? ot just the ones living in your head. these kids were VERY disrespectful, why bring british kids into it?
@@sarahlouise7163 The kids here weren't that bad, I don't think they did anything wrong. They were just touching the rope, so? Does that clown not realize that some people are tactile and like to touch things? That's in their nature, you can't change that. It's not like the teenagers kept asking him for selfies or did a wedgie on him, lol, they just watched what he was doing and they thought that it was funny, and it is!!! British tradition is outdated and silly and ridiculous.
@@ArranVid Touching the rope is not the primary thing - you can see they have been standing there mocking and laughing at him for quite a while. Sorry, this British tradition is what it is - if you don't like it, don't watch it then. Many European monarchies (Spain, Denmark, Norway, etc.) also have royal guards performing daily changing-of-the-guards duties as well and I don't recall tourists showing disrespect to them. Somehow, tourists coming to UK think it's OK to mock the soldiers on duty. It is dispicable and should not be accepted.
@@MTMF.london Ok. I hope you don't mind me correcting you, but it is spelt 'despicable' and not 'dispicable'. Anyway, you care about boring, stuffy British tradition a lot, you do you.
@@ArranVidMate, I don't mind anybody correcting my spelling as I sometimes type faster than I think - it's no biggie. And I don't care an iota about British tradition - boring or otherwise. I just think that people should respect traditions of other nations/peoples - they don't have to like it but there's no need for mockery and disrespect.
This is a self-made situation. People come from all over the world to see a grenadier who doesn't move. At some point jokes are made about how far you can go. Such a grenadier wouldn't stand a chance if two people ran past him quickly. It's an old tradition but also a big show. The actual security is behind the walls. The English royal family costs the taxpayer more than 85 million in one year. At the same time, however, millions are made again by tourists traveling to England to see this splendor.
Try passing him to go iniside the gates see what he does then, dont be fooled they will cause you major pain. P.s scots are grenadiers, he is one of the queens gaurds, they go by no other title.
These teenagers are utterly disgusting. And who was that that man checking out the rope situation🤔If he was their teacher, he should be seriously ashamed of himself for just watching onSend them to boot camp, see how they laugh then!!!🤬DWPS!🏴
Finally someone taught them manners in this world.
"GET OFF THE ROPE!!!" Didn't have to tell them twice!
That soldier counting down the days until he can rotate back to combat duties
They shouldn’t be allowed to stay there for such a long time mocking the Guard.
Such disrespectful people should be moved on by Officials, or better still moved out.
Moved on for doing something perfectly legal we police by laws not feelings people like you are the problem ❄️❄️❄️
We were in the Tower of London some years ago, and a large group of French students were there. They went through one of the Chapels shouting and bellowing, despite the "silence please" signs. They were jostling people and being very rude. When they came out of that section, a reception was waiting for them of just two Beefeaters. Just by spreading their arms, they gathered the mob together, who also went silent. In a a VERY military voice, the Beefeater, or Yeoman Warder, addressed them.
"These are soldiers, REAL SOLDIERS, who's Father's did NOT surrender like French troops during WW2 !! The Teacher in charge spread her hands and claimed she didn't speak English. Wrong move ! The Warder shouted. "Do NOT try that with me young lady, I've heard you speaking English !!!
He then told them that he would escort them around the Tower, and any bad behaviour would result in being "escorted" out of the Tower. They took the hint lol.
@@cat-le1hfHow so?
These kids are so disrespectful. It’s awful. Maybe they should be escorted out of the place?
Where is the adult supervision of these school parties?
Name and shame the school and the no control teachers
My late dad was a very proud coldstream guardsman back in the late 50's, he would have shouted out alot sooner, these children certainly need to learn manners and discipline 💂♂️💂♂️
Friend of my boss was a gaurd at Windsor when Princess Diana was in residence there she always had a chat with the guards
How boring for them . Seriously I'm bored watching them . They should have moved them on after 5 minutes .
Good on him for shouting.. That shook those disrespectful kids up a bit. He's doing his job and they're laughing and poking fun. He showed them that it won't be tolerated.
It always seems the foreign students that are the rudest & most disrespectful to our guards. But where are their guides they should be teaching them more manners. They wouldn't get away with it in any other country. These are working brave soldiers of our county & not to be mocked.
It’s so sad to see that people still mock the guard😢😢😢
Actually, they were just young kids and not bad compared with the feral creatures we have in the UK.
That kid at the end should put himself in the guards boots. He wouldn't be laughing then.
French kids, what else do you expect?
Very badly brought up children.
World's most boring job
And this is why these guys who earn this spot shouldn’t be a spectacle!! Make these people stand 100ft or more, unless these guys like the weird attention!
Kids will be kids...they were just probably amazed the guy is a youngster probably not much older than them...he maybe in his early twenties..
Once that guard stopped pacing back and forth and faced those idiots, you just know shit is about to get real!
Shame on them and shame on the parents who raised them!
You could never pay me enough to want this job as a guard. It's just as bad as being an animal in a zoo exhibit.
Meu Deus, nem nas cordas podem tocar? Que frescura! 🙄 Nossa, eu também poderia levar uma bronca facilmente.
Good Job Guardsman.
Well done !!
they are kids being kids
ffs, they will probably learn - hopefully
Their parents have not taught them anything. If they didn't have enough manners by now (they look like they are in mid-teens) it would be too late to learn.
2:33 for anyone wondering this is when the “GET OFF THE ROPE” happened
The issue is why use soldiers to make the job of entertaining the crowd, like if they were at Disney Land.
That's not their job. The entertainment value is incidental.
A real credit to their parents and educational establishment 😡
My god kids having fun what has the world come to
Kids not having fun - they were making fun and mocking a soldier who is on duty.
Where’s the adult with these young people? They clearly need one!
Must be Americans
I was at the Tomb in DC and me being a Marine, yelled at folks being disrespectful. I have no issue with doing that. I can not tolerate folks being disrespectful, period.
Why are they kust hanging round thete? Is nursery out?
2:33 GET OFF THE ROPE!!
