Absolutely wonderful to see the guarded changed. The Windsor Castle is so solid and beautiful. Thank you all the guards doing us proud. God save the King. 😇😇😇
It's wonderful to have this Tradition, Precision, Discipline, Training etc. This is precisely what our society is lacking. The pride and commitment to duty builds character, strength, leadership, resilience etc. We need this in our schools.
@Dibley8899 The "enemy" has always "lain within". It is in each and every one of us. This "Battle" never ceases until we become the Master's of ourselves.
Best look at Windsor Castle I ever had or maybe will ever have. Thank you from Australia. I was pleased the visitors made way for The King's Guard. More respectful than at St James Palace.
I think if the visitors don't get out of the way, they walk right through them. There are some videos on this platform from The Tower Of London and the Guardsmen just keep walking and they don't change their path. It is quite clear that visitors get out of THEIR way.
I used to work as an A&E Charge Nurse at Wexham Park Hospital in Slough. Possibly 3x per week, I'd travel the short distance to Windsor, to watch the Changing of the Guard. It was a pure spectacle in accuracy, military precision and veritable choreography....Simply superb, from HM Armed Forces, yet again 👍
Oh dear, I waited and waited to be shocked and I'm still waiting. But besides being shocked I really enjoyed my visit to Windsor Castle. Thank you ❤🇦🇺🦘
Yes ! I was wondering what the “ shock “ was suppose to be , maybe that the one guard was so very much smaller than the rest ( that was a bit shocking ) but beyond that I do love the dedication snd precision of theses do very well trained and well appointed Soldiers ! ❤❤❤❤❤
That fence and gate at 7 mins in wasnt there 10 yrs ago when we went from nz. We were able to walk along the embankment above where the pool was and see the back of the castle. Shame you can’t now. I really enjoyed seeing that bit. The back garden designed by prince Philip is beautiful.
If you want to go visit at Christmas time they decorate inside it is beautiful and if you want to watch the full guard change they parade up through the town with the band playing.
I'm so glad I was able to visit Windsor Castle and see some parts of it, Queen Mary's doll house and the chapel. We caught part of the Changing Of The Guard.

I was waiting for him to take the wing mirror off the Royal Mail van with his rifle! I visited the Castle many times with 'work' and had the privilege to visit the 2 guards' barracks in Windsor. They are excellent combat soldiers as well as ceremonial. Thanks for showing the full changing proceedure. I wonder if all the tourists fully understand what is happening. The only thing that spoils Windsor is being under the flightpath to Heathrow airport.
Impossible not to feel impressed with these guys. Years back I was fortunate enough to ride in Windsor great park after leaving stables near Heathrow airport.
They only avoided the queue because those visitors have no option but to be there. If anyone is in the way anywhere else the guard commander will shout very loudly for them to 'Make way for the King's guard!' and if they don't move they will be pushed out if the way.
Nothing shocking here. Nothing like that time I got fed up & grabbed one of the guns & shouted at them to get a move on. There was a bit of a kerfuffle that time & explanations were required I can tell you.
@M6T4 then the statement Nobody does it better than the brits is blatantly wrong. I think a lot of brits need to learn colonial history on India. The UK government and monarchy is so ashamed of it, it has been conveniently decided not to teach as part of history 🤮
I believe the soldier they relieved and was at the back on the return march , had an artificial leg , on his right side, which means he was wounded in one of the war zones somewhere.Which makes his marching back even more impressive.
Very unlikely they'd still be active in a front line infantry regiment with an artificial leg, they'd be medically discharged from the Army at that point. You might be seeing the shine of the boots, as the go up the ankle a bit.
Incorrect. There are serving members of the Kings guard and every regiment within the United Kingdom or take it in. Turns to do this duty over the years. My cousin did it twice in his time in the army. Like the other person said it’s for me to shine off their boots.
Very nice traditions ♡♧☆ I love it very much ♡♧☆Many people forgets that this very Royal British Guards are Special Forces Soldiers, not just for show!
Things have been changed in relation to some of the way things are done at The Horse's Guards. I think that there are now white lines that people cannot cross. Obviously, some people still choose to behave poorly.
I can really hear the planes overhead. I didn't notice this when I visited Windsor Castle several years ago. Did they change the flight path in the last couple of years?
When my Hubby and I visited Windsor Castle in 2013 I had a hiking stick and a lady beside was in a wheel chair.Security guard said to follow her we were taken to a lift and under strict security taken up and appeared out of a wall with gold ropes and told to come back to that spot when we had finished.I wondered how many Kings had used this secret lift to maybe meet mistresses etc.

Yeah over the last 10 years most guard posts around London have been either moved or fences have been placed to stop tourists getting so close.
