I think the issue with not many players knowing that Cass can survive a pulse bomb with roll is part of the issue that Blizzard just utterly refuses to put numbers and pivotal game mechanic explanations in the game. Which makes absolutely no sense to me, maybe the new OW2 players wouldn't be so shit if the mechanics of the game were actually explained to them. Like why not just put "Cassidy has a damage reduction of 50% on his roll" or "Brigitte's inspire has a 20 meter radius." This is something that's irked me about the game since Overwatch 1, and I don't understand why they don't change it. It's kinda dumb that you have to go shoot training bots to find out how much damage a hero does
It would be so nice to have something that says "Brig heals by hitting things" somewhere. The amount of players (and i'm talking like people who played OW1 for years) who still think Brig only heals with heal packs and that Brig should be "dealing not DPSing" is insane.
The thing about Cass's roll is that it's not mentioned that it reduces damage in the information screen. Not to mention if you're coming into OW2 with OW1 experience you may not think twice about Cass's role being used just to reload. Edit: typo :/
at 6:00, that positioning is pretty damn good for ana, but good positioning dont mean shit if your whole team is out of position relative to that good position. Trying to find good positioning based on your teammates bad positioning is a great way to climb if they straight up wont listen to you in regards of where they should be playing. Adaptability is key. Later down the line is when inherently good positioning matters most tho so try and learn both.
I would've considered the Reaper pixel achievement a hard one in the past, but it's honestly about as hard as his other achievement. You just need to engage before the rest of your team, prefixing on three before popping ult. It's not as easy as it sounds, but it's easier than getting three kills with one clip the normal way.
id argue the harest one now is mercies big rez, without her old team rez getting 5 rezes in a game without dying is basically impossible, if you were to somehow rez someone off cooldown nonstop it would take a MINIMUM of 2.5 mins to get, all without dying, now consider not every rez is a safe rez and there isnt always a dead person all the time.... this can easily require 4+ mins to do, i genuinely think this achievement is effectively impossible now, they need to reduce the rezes to 3 atleast
Yes, but you can duo and have a teammate feed. Or just play really far back and use your mobility to escape. The Bap one requires building a minimum of two _ultimates_, not cooldowns, which can be absolute hell to get use of with bad team comps.
As a Valorant player I relate to the last point so much. Some duelists (basically like OW tanks) like to lurk way to much and get 1-3 kills and say they did their part. While the rest of the team is struggling to enter site and eventually loses the round. Some people cate too much about their KDA and not about the rounds lost/won or doing their agents role and then flame their teammates for losing rounds

actually ive been getting people in bronze to plat in masters ALL DAY yesterday. like its a HUGE issue cause I didn't get anyone anywhere near my rank almost all day after the 5th round in a row like that I just stopped asking and checking ranks where I could through the masses of hidden profiles. it was BAD the played bad, positioned bad, got mad at anything and everything, LOSed me every 3 seconds so they never got healing while screaming as loud as possible to blame me for them LOSing me.... so yeah no this is a MAJOR issue and explains why all my teams feel like they have been throwing almost all season, its no wonder we keep making incredibly dumb mistakes when everyone is in silver/gold average
Yeah, it doesn’t matter if they’re masters on tank and silver on support, their game sense, reaction time, knowledge and general skill floor is way better than any other silver, gold, or even plat player. The amount of times I see a masters player in my plat lobbies on an off role and we get rolled bc their fundamentals are so significantly better is unreal. Then I’ll have a silver or bronze player on my team with quite literally 0 picks and 2k damage on junkrat 18 minutes into the game, while they’ve got a random masters Cassidy with 45 picks and 15k damage is unreal. I feel like a passenger in my games, where either I completely pop off and hard carry or I have literally 0 impact on whether we win or lose, all I can do is speed it up or slow it down.

@@urfork1 im in the kinda reverse seat, I can easily roll people but only if my teams arent feeding and throwing by not doing things I see as incredibly simple and basic. taking high ground, taking out supports when a chance arrives, not ONLY shooting the tank, don't shoot the person a support is pocketing shoot the support instead, etc. there are so many things that just make since to do to me as a support main, mostly kiriko, that so many people just don't know at lower ranks like gold, silver, bronze. at least most people above gold know these things and can usually execute them fairly consistently and wont be wildly different than diamond and low masters. although after masters 4 the skill gap gets apparent VERY quickly. i know I'm not great at DPS or Tank and don't deserve more than low diamond on either of them but for support most of the time my teams are just not good and I cant make them do better either, only help them do certain things. SO MANY people think getting healing makes them immortal and don't even TRY to not die anymore so if I don't use EVERYTHING to save them all game then I end up losing cause they will feed all game.

I get it at the extreme high end this kinda works but for the rest of the ranks this is EXTREMELY bad. yay top500 players don't have to wait 20 minutes for a game now, but why is everyone else all lumped into the same range now where everyone gets with everyone? like its not working well we need to keep the change at the high end where top500's are getting lower q times but we also need to keep the rest of the ranks how they were cause they weren't bad wait times. either make the MMR range be like 10X bigger or just revert the change for bronze to masters so people don't get people on the polar opposite side of the SR range cause its not fair for the lower ranked people or the higher ranked people either. its not fun for either side.
The babptiste ult is actually easier in lower elos bc people tend to stand still and your team usually will make use of it at the detriment to themselves
God, that last one.. Man, i agree so hard to it.. A few weeks ago, i was playing on the new arctic map. We faced a Tracer and she was the hardest psychological player I've EVER faced in my life. I played Ana and she kept flanking, spamming "Heya!" And poking me just slightly from a little distance to announce her presence. So if i didn't pay attention to her and heal my team, she would dash up and burst me, so I'd be dead. But if i did look at her, she would try and dodge my shots and i wouldn't be able to heal my team.. She had pretty "bad" stats, but man.. She did so freaking much
I say just make it that shields count as loss of los for Zen, so that every tank besides JC and Orisa has a way to more easily get discord off of themselves. Don't change the dmg increase, just make it easier to take off. - a Zen player
@Crimson honetsky thrtas the biggest issue, the fact that you can't cleanse it, and when you do it's INSTANTLY reapplied just makes it pretty much a permanent 15% damage increase on you
@@damp2269 a cooldown would ruin zens entire flow. just make it easier to cleanse off like the first comment suggested. it's not like every tank needs to be strong against discord but certain tanks like rein, winton, sigma should be able to work against it.
In the Zen war, as a guy who had mained Zen for most of OW1... I don't blame you. Different eras call for different forms of balance. The moment blizzard gave us 5v5 and Zen the Sparta kick, it was only a matter of time. Unlike the widow war with the ow 'git gud' society, and anything that may trigg... I mean upset the Mercy main alliance; we Zen mains can at least respect the times. That and Kiriko exists, and those hours of play are already increasing (suzu might need some balancing).
For anyone struggling to get the zen rapid discord achievement, marblr made a video detailing how assists work(ed in ow 1). Basically if zen puts discord orb on everyone on the other team really quickly, if they all die within a short timespan, even if they don’t actively have discord on them, you’ll still get the assist for it. Also Zen’s discord orb was changed back to 25% damage increase in a later patch in overwatch 1 and has been that way since
The stats take is especially true when you consider that someone can make a BIG difference in a team fight while not doing much damage or healing, Just simply existing in the backline can distract one or two DPS and cause them to crumble when met with the rest of your team.
If a DPS has mediocre stats but is the one doing the first picks in every fight - he's the MVP, no matter how you cut it. It's probably very hard to implement, but I would love to see a "first picks in fights" and "first to die in fights" stat in the game.
13:04 this is pure facts. A widowmaker can have 15 kills in 10 minutes, while the tank and other dps have 25 kills. You would think that the other dps and tank are doing better when in reality the widow can be getting early picks every fight which secures the wins. Not all stats are equal. The first 1/2 kills of the fight are always more influential and the last 3. Spam damage that gets healed is not as good as damage the secures a kill. Stats may help but there are many things that not even the statboard can show us.
as a zen main, discord orb is not fun to play against, maybe make a hefty cooldown if los is broken or if cleansed. maybe around 10 seconds. maybe make the range on it shorter and if someone walks out of that range it works the same as losing los, making the zen player have to position into riskier situations.
In a Dive team... That doesn't change much to nerf his Discord range. But maybe the cool down but in comparison to Ult Damage Boost Mercy? Zen falls behind.
I love Flats BUT hes gotta stop with the Zen Discord hate. If you Nerf Discord Zen loses his potency. Zen is a high risk Support. He has no get out of jail ability, he has no escape/save for himself or teamates. Zen values comes from synergy with certain team comps & discord. Nerf Discord and Zen becomes near unplayable.
I just thought of something... What about something like a "limit" to Orb damage boost... Like, after 75 damage amped the Orb returns, with a little cooldown like 4-5 seconds... This way orb stays twit the same function, OP against squishes and WAY weaker against tank
idk about the 75 dmg thing, but it would be nice if zen put discord on someone, and they break LOS, zen cant instantly put it back. I agree with the cooldown part. Just dont really know how long the cooldown would be to make it fair, would require blizzard to play test it first
I think 4-5 sec would be annoying for the Zen players and still not a big dif for the enemy tank, but maybe 10 sec CD in each enemy would be better, you would need to keep changing the target, Zen wouldn't feel useless in that time and the enemy tank would have at least 10 sec to push

Re: silver players queing into master/diamond players. @ 10:30 . Had this happen to me the other day in quick-play role queue. Im bronze/silver depending on role, had a master Cass + diamond moira on other team. We never made it past that first choke at top of stairs on Blizzard world. The cass had ult every 30-45 seconds zero exaggeration. He got ult so fast it felt like just another ability. I know its QP so w/e, but I expect some small level of balance between teams even in quickplay.

Okay so I actually agree with the having lootboxes and shop. The way they could do it is make skins available to each. Meaning you can only get certain skins in loot boxes and certain ones in shops. But that's if they use new skins for both instead of using old skins only for lootboxes and only new in the shop. The loot boxes would also provide legacy credits for any duplicates you get.
Not a good idea... Given the entire legislation about it for gambling reasons. At least... The fact that loot boxes used real money (cosmetic or not) is the main focus as to why the government intervened. It was gambling with zero regulations and zero tangibility. Unlike real gambling where you could earn a profit. Aka... It is akin to Pachinko in Japan but a bit worst off... GOTCHAs are the better example. If it didn't use real money/premium currencies, then no one would bat an eye about loot boxes.
So for the stat padder thing, Moira is the worst offender because she has a bunch of damage that can be easily healed. Her dps is too low to out dps heals, but she does it in aoe, padding the stat. The only useful leaderboard stat on her is healing since the damage, kill and assist ones are padded so badly. The only reason I ever play her is to counter characters like tracer, or genji since when they dive they are away from healers. Silver/gold player btw so I have no idea what it's like in diamond or higher lobbies.
Moria is better against 200 hp targets when flanking. Any high HP or against high damage characters who consistently hit her. She struggles. But never fight alone when using Moria.
Fun fact: the Ram compression field can slingshot dva bomb. I hit a DVa with it who created an initial upward trajectory. It pulled her mech to the ground, but once out of the field, it shot out with the original trajectory. It made for a really nutty looking ult.
If you want a good metric on if your healing is good In a match. Compare your teams healing with the enemy teams DPSs dmg. If the healing is lower than the dmg then the difference is healing you could have done.

Nerf his speed: (which would make him just as clunky as when he was released) Nerf the infinite duration: (which was a bit necessary and they did do, but 20 sec of uptime really just means that stall can be a more viable option against him) And finally an idea that I wish I had seen more of, if it wasnt just people complaining about how STRONG the ult was....Just nerf the ult charge. The ult is busted don't get me wrong, but what I found really "unfun" both playing as Ram and against him, was how quick I could generate my team fight winning ult. It seemed like I had it every team fight and that's really what I thought made it bad IMO
I got the zen one on accident. Both baps are hard to get, because your team somehow has no fucking idea what the window actually is or does. Same with the lamp half the time.
I once had a dude with the top 500 title in my SILVER 2 match. He was a support queue. dude played moira, but from top 500 to silver, there's a limit to how much role matters, cuz to be in top 500 mechanical skill isnt enough (I assume it isn't, might be wrong ?)
The Bap one is annoying because it mostly relies on your teammates. Not your own skill. If your teammates always avoid shooting through the window, or try and can’t hit their targets…. My max is about 400, and it was just me and one teammate using it. While the rest of my team ran away from it.
Try doing it in a game where people have coms and where your tank is Zarya, so if people actually listen your Zarya can uot then you drop window and laser their team. If that doesn't work though then your team sucks sorry
On the “hot take” shop and loot boxes thing, he said $500 skins as if every item in apex is that when in reality it’s just the heirlooms that can possibly cost that much and the normal skins are the same price as the overwatch2 skins.
Personally my biggest issue has always been widow, how is it that roadhog gets butchered because of his one shot but widow is just allowed to clown around while also having a defensive ability and an escape/mobility option

the dmg numbers bit is too real.. recently I had a game where I picked hanzo and the other dps was junk. The game was going on for only a minute, it was still just the beginning, but I had already gotten a few picks here and there and we were pushing cart totally fine. Still out of nowhere my tank goes "hey hanzo can u switch you're not doing anything" ... ROFL I had 6 kills and like 800 dmg. I wasn't spamming the tank so my dmg was low yet I had the highest kills in the game at that point. Even tho it was low dmg I was the only one actually getting kills from straight up just headshots or finishing someone half hp meanwhile my junk has 2 kills and 2000 dmg.. he's been spamming the tank since the start (who hasn't died btw) and that's literally it but because a quick glance at the stats showed me with less than 1k dmg suddenly I'm "doing bad" lmfao
I dunno if zen will be overturned with a new ability but I feel like his harmony/discord should be like Moria’s orb, buff it’s healing and set a cool-down before he could switch target. I’ve always thought that letting zen discord whoever whenever he feels like is a bit stupid.
quick thing on that last part, sometimes you can be the sole reason of a round/game win because of a strategic/stall/trade/c9 play but that wouldnt show up as a stat

Although, such a chance is rare where everyone but one player is less skillful when contributing to the match but when it happens. Playing against or being the hard carry is obviously seen. (At least if Rank isn't busted.)

Im fine with low damage numbers as long as they have elims (especially on one shot heros like widow and hanzo cause you cant do more damage to a dead person) But if they have low elims, it means that they are picking the wrong fights and cant secure a kill or they go off alone away from the team and dont allow the team to secure it.
Honestly I agree with the respawn path vid I feel like they should have left the boxes in the game as something that you earn by playing but can't buy and then have a rotating shop where you can directly buy seasonal cosmetics that you wouldn't see unless the events were active
Dude i felt that on zen orb for tanks. I specifically as hog would tunnel him all game long as he never got off zenyatta so he could apply his discord. He was ALWAYS my first pick as he was my problem making me take 25% more dmg from all sources.
For the bap one, my friend (bap) did it with zarya grav and window (we had a bastion and junkrat to spam through window) the way it works is the moment zarya use grav, he would window and everyone spam at the enemy except for bastion which use turret form to beam them down
I legit encountered a Mei who told me “You need to do better” and I look at my stats and I literally have 15 kills and the Mei only had 8. I was like “Bro, the f u talking about? Look at your stats before you shit talk” and I swear to god he literally said “But I have more damage than you.” By just a 1k Gap.
I'd put discord on a resource bar, it only last 5 seconds and has a pretty slow recharge but the recharge speed is increased with damage done, maybe 5% per hit. Honestly I'd do the same with mercy's damage boost but tie it to healing done and a really slow or even no passive recharge. So she can't just sit with damage up constantly and HAS to do healing to get it back, means you're not constantly pushing into an amped DPS and she needs to regain it during a team fight.
I feel like it'd be good to have a cooldown / duration on the orb, but have it refund some of its cooldown if a criteria is met. Long-ish cooldown but if the Discord target dies while it's on them, you get the cooldown refreshed, etc. Encourage using it for key moments and not just spamming it, give it a counterplay of backing off and waiting it out (which in turn makes Discord also valuable as a deterrent/zoning tool), that sort of thing.
@@JiorujiDerako Yea there are a good few interesting ways they could go about it but I think the main one would be just putting it on a cooldown, maybe after LOS is broken it goes on a 4sec cooldown meaning there's actual value to LOSing it and it isn't just up constantly
I was able to get the Bap achievement near the end of OW1’s life. It was painful to get. The way I saw tips online of defense being the best option. The main reason for this is because in between rounds counts as a death in game by the achievement’s standards. I was able to obtain it on Dorado defense last point after going through 5 windows to get it. That achievement was painful and is actually impossible to get in OW2. There is no way people can get 4-5 windows in one life. To anyone who does, you have my respect
Yeah, that's why when I look at stats, I have to contextualize the hero they're playing. If I see a junk with 6000 damage and no kills "oh he's just spamming the hog" ... the widow only has 1000 damage but 5 kills, then something is going well there (usually - even if they're assisted body shots, that's at least something) . Sometimes I'll even see myself, I might have 5k damage with only one kill, my bastion isn't being effective enough and though I might have no deaths, once I die, I'll just ult from spawn and swap.
3:52 that guys right though, if they just added a shop and kept the old loot box system, you COULD get a skin for free, or you can buy in the shop for guaranteed chance, or you could buy a couple boxes to get a higher chance but still Cheeper than buying it in shop
For starters make the discord orb have set time limit and then a cooldown when used, cooldown slightly reduced on assists and more of a reduced cooldown if not reset on kills/majority of damage on a assist. This encourages fragging Zen rather then I exist so I have value Zen, add a cooldown to his kick boop it's annoying and give him something else if he falls too far from grace everybody says mobility but idk about that, something cool on the couch button since crouching is only used for lowering your hitbox on orb volleys.
They could make Zenyatta have 2 healing orbs instead of just one and nerfing the discord orb to only be able to nerf people that are not behind a wall. This would make Discord orb force Zenyatta to be on high ground or on less on the backline, therefore being a more risky choice if you want 100% value. Of course, they could also make discord orb last for less time, forcing Zen to keep using his skill. So yeah, I also agree that Zen's discord orb is very annoying and unfun.
the thing is, we dont need necessarily loot boxes, but they need to make the items cheaper like 5 bucks for a legendary and make boosting the battle pass affordable, thats it no more.
Zen discord - everybody vs one character +30% (requiring team cohesion) Mercy damage amp - one person vs everybody +30%. Flats going hard against one. Tank player thoughts. At most, zen’s disc orb should go lower to like 20% cause tanks are miserable with it. But removing it would be upsetting.

Zen is easy to kill but that dont mean you gonna reach zen all the time nor will it really change the fact that zen will just discord the tank every single time he appears.

that stat one is real; i was playing ana, we had no dps to counter pharah so i was like 'fuck it, i'll do it myself'. i was killing her, sleeping tank, anti'ing the team and healing but because my healing isn't as high as everyone elses i have a tank that will just throw because they 'looked at the scoreboard and didn't have faith that i would keep them up'.

I would've considered the Reaper pixel achievement a hard one in the past, but it's honestly about as hard as his other achievement. You just need to engage before the rest of your team, prefixing on three before popping ult. It's not as easy as it sounds, but it's easier than getting three kills with one clip the normal way.
It's easy peasy, considering that ult kills count towards the achievement. You just need a big reaper ult, which is pretty easy.
id argue the harest one now is mercies big rez, without her old team rez getting 5 rezes in a game without dying is basically impossible, if you were to somehow rez someone off cooldown nonstop it would take a MINIMUM of 2.5 mins to get, all without dying, now consider not every rez is a safe rez and there isnt always a dead person all the time.... this can easily require 4+ mins to do, i genuinely think this achievement is effectively impossible now, they need to reduce the rezes to 3 atleast

Yes, but you can duo and have a teammate feed. Or just play really far back and use your mobility to escape. The Bap one requires building a minimum of two _ultimates_, not cooldowns, which can be absolute hell to get use of with bad team comps.

As a Valorant player I relate to the last point so much. Some duelists (basically like OW tanks) like to lurk way to much and get 1-3 kills and say they did their part. While the rest of the team is struggling to enter site and eventually loses the round. Some people cate too much about their KDA and not about the rounds lost/won or doing their agents role and then flame their teammates for losing rounds
If ur tank gets more than one kill and ur team can’t walk in that is a skill issue

actually ive been getting people in bronze to plat in masters ALL DAY yesterday. like its a HUGE issue cause I didn't get anyone anywhere near my rank almost all day after the 5th round in a row like that I just stopped asking and checking ranks where I could through the masses of hidden profiles. it was BAD the played bad, positioned bad, got mad at anything and everything, LOSed me every 3 seconds so they never got healing while screaming as loud as possible to blame me for them LOSing me.... so yeah no this is a MAJOR issue and explains why all my teams feel like they have been throwing almost all season, its no wonder we keep making incredibly dumb mistakes when everyone is in silver/gold average
Yeah, it doesn’t matter if they’re masters on tank and silver on support, their game sense, reaction time, knowledge and general skill floor is way better than any other silver, gold, or even plat player. The amount of times I see a masters player in my plat lobbies on an off role and we get rolled bc their fundamentals are so significantly better is unreal. Then I’ll have a silver or bronze player on my team with quite literally 0 picks and 2k damage on junkrat 18 minutes into the game, while they’ve got a random masters Cassidy with 45 picks and 15k damage is unreal. I feel like a passenger in my games, where either I completely pop off and hard carry or I have literally 0 impact on whether we win or lose, all I can do is speed it up or slow it down.

@@urfork1 im in the kinda reverse seat, I can easily roll people but only if my teams arent feeding and throwing by not doing things I see as incredibly simple and basic. taking high ground, taking out supports when a chance arrives, not ONLY shooting the tank, don't shoot the person a support is pocketing shoot the support instead, etc. there are so many things that just make since to do to me as a support main, mostly kiriko, that so many people just don't know at lower ranks like gold, silver, bronze. at least most people above gold know these things and can usually execute them fairly consistently and wont be wildly different than diamond and low masters. although after masters 4 the skill gap gets apparent VERY quickly. i know I'm not great at DPS or Tank and don't deserve more than low diamond on either of them but for support most of the time my teams are just not good and I cant make them do better either, only help them do certain things. SO MANY people think getting healing makes them immortal and don't even TRY to not die anymore so if I don't use EVERYTHING to save them all game then I end up losing cause they will feed all game.

I get it at the extreme high end this kinda works but for the rest of the ranks this is EXTREMELY bad. yay top500 players don't have to wait 20 minutes for a game now, but why is everyone else all lumped into the same range now where everyone gets with everyone? like its not working well we need to keep the change at the high end where top500's are getting lower q times but we also need to keep the rest of the ranks how they were cause they weren't bad wait times.
either make the MMR range be like 10X bigger or just revert the change for bronze to masters so people don't get people on the polar opposite side of the SR range cause its not fair for the lower ranked people or the higher ranked people either. its not fun for either side.
The babptiste ult is actually easier in lower elos bc people tend to stand still and your team usually will make use of it at the detriment to themselves

A few weeks ago, i was playing on the new arctic map. We faced a Tracer and she was the hardest psychological player I've EVER faced in my life. I played Ana and she kept flanking, spamming "Heya!" And poking me just slightly from a little distance to announce her presence.
So if i didn't pay attention to her and heal my team, she would dash up and burst me, so I'd be dead. But if i did look at her, she would try and dodge my shots and i wouldn't be able to heal my team.. She had pretty "bad" stats, but man.. She did so freaking much
I say just make it that shields count as loss of los for Zen, so that every tank besides JC and Orisa has a way to more easily get discord off of themselves. Don't change the dmg increase, just make it easier to take off. - a Zen player
@Crimson honetsky thrtas the biggest issue, the fact that you can't cleanse it, and when you do it's INSTANTLY reapplied just makes it pretty much a permanent 15% damage increase on you

For anyone struggling to get the zen rapid discord achievement, marblr made a video detailing how assists work(ed in ow 1). Basically if zen puts discord orb on everyone on the other team really quickly, if they all die within a short timespan, even if they don’t actively have discord on them, you’ll still get the assist for it. Also Zen’s discord orb was changed back to 25% damage increase in a later patch in overwatch 1 and has been that way since

The stats take is especially true when you consider that someone can make a BIG difference in a team fight while not doing much damage or healing, Just simply existing in the backline can distract one or two DPS and cause them to crumble when met with the rest of your team.
If a DPS has mediocre stats but is the one doing the first picks in every fight - he's the MVP, no matter how you cut it. It's probably very hard to implement, but I would love to see a "first picks in fights" and "first to die in fights" stat in the game.
Ramattra getting ult slower was a really good change (20s time limit as well OOVIOUSLY)
13:04 this is pure facts. A widowmaker can have 15 kills in 10 minutes, while the tank and other dps have 25 kills. You would think that the other dps and tank are doing better when in reality the widow can be getting early picks every fight which secures the wins.
Not all stats are equal. The first 1/2 kills of the fight are always more influential and the last 3. Spam damage that gets healed is not as good as damage the secures a kill. Stats may help but there are many things that not even the statboard can show us.

as a zen main, discord orb is not fun to play against, maybe make a hefty cooldown if los is broken or if cleansed. maybe around 10 seconds. maybe make the range on it shorter and if someone walks out of that range it works the same as losing los, making the zen player have to position into riskier situations.
In a Dive team... That doesn't change much to nerf his Discord range. But maybe the cool down but in comparison to Ult Damage Boost Mercy? Zen falls behind.
I love Flats BUT hes gotta stop with the Zen Discord hate. If you Nerf Discord Zen loses his potency. Zen is a high risk Support. He has no get out of jail ability, he has no escape/save for himself or teamates. Zen values comes from synergy with certain team comps & discord. Nerf Discord and Zen becomes near unplayable.

I think 4-5 sec would be annoying for the Zen players and still not a big dif for the enemy tank, but maybe 10 sec CD in each enemy would be better, you would need to keep changing the target, Zen wouldn't feel useless in that time and the enemy tank would have at least 10 sec to push

Re: silver players queing into master/diamond players. @ 10:30 . Had this happen to me the other day in quick-play role queue. Im bronze/silver depending on role, had a master Cass + diamond moira on other team.
We never made it past that first choke at top of stairs on Blizzard world. The cass had ult every 30-45 seconds zero exaggeration. He got ult so fast it felt like just another ability.
I know its QP so w/e, but I expect some small level of balance between teams even in quickplay.
That cass countering tracer one was just the person asking if he was a counter, not trying to show/prove anything with the clip

Okay so I actually agree with the having lootboxes and shop. The way they could do it is make skins available to each. Meaning you can only get certain skins in loot boxes and certain ones in shops. But that's if they use new skins for both instead of using old skins only for lootboxes and only new in the shop. The loot boxes would also provide legacy credits for any duplicates you get.
Not a good idea... Given the entire legislation about it for gambling reasons.
At least... The fact that loot boxes used real money (cosmetic or not) is the main focus as to why the government intervened. It was gambling with zero regulations and zero tangibility. Unlike real gambling where you could earn a profit.

I like to spam the Zen pixel spray because people might think I'm good but I just got it on accident.
So for the stat padder thing, Moira is the worst offender because she has a bunch of damage that can be easily healed. Her dps is too low to out dps heals, but she does it in aoe, padding the stat. The only useful leaderboard stat on her is healing since the damage, kill and assist ones are padded so badly. The only reason I ever play her is to counter characters like tracer, or genji since when they dive they are away from healers. Silver/gold player btw so I have no idea what it's like in diamond or higher lobbies.
Moria is better against 200 hp targets when flanking. Any high HP or against high damage characters who consistently hit her. She struggles.
But never fight alone when using Moria.
Fun fact: the Ram compression field can slingshot dva bomb.
I hit a DVa with it who created an initial upward trajectory. It pulled her mech to the ground, but once out of the field, it shot out with the original trajectory. It made for a really nutty looking ult.
If you want a good metric on if your healing is good In a match. Compare your teams healing with the enemy teams DPSs dmg. If the healing is lower than the dmg then the difference is healing you could have done.

Try doing it in a game where people have coms and where your tank is Zarya, so if people actually listen your Zarya can uot then you drop window and laser their team. If that doesn't work though then your team sucks sorry

in my games as tanks this is literally what happens - Sombra hacks me, zen discord me, bastion melts me. I am literally dead before i can even react.
Personally my biggest issue has always been widow, how is it that roadhog gets butchered because of his one shot but widow is just allowed to clown around while also having a defensive ability and an escape/mobility option

I had 6 kills and like 800 dmg. I wasn't spamming the tank so my dmg was low yet I had the highest kills in the game at that point. Even tho it was low dmg I was the only one actually getting kills from straight up just headshots or finishing someone half hp

A good Widow can 1v5 team fights... So carrying the team is possible. Just not probable against an equally good team.

Dude i felt that on zen orb for tanks. I specifically as hog would tunnel him all game long as he never got off zenyatta so he could apply his discord. He was ALWAYS my first pick as he was my problem making me take 25% more dmg from all sources.
For the bap one, my friend (bap) did it with zarya grav and window (we had a bastion and junkrat to spam through window) the way it works is the moment zarya use grav, he would window and everyone spam at the enemy except for bastion which use turret form to beam them down
I legit encountered a Mei who told me “You need to do better” and I look at my stats and I literally have 15 kills and the Mei only had 8. I was like “Bro, the f u talking about? Look at your stats before you shit talk” and I swear to god he literally said “But I have more damage than you.” By just a 1k Gap.
I'd put discord on a resource bar, it only last 5 seconds and has a pretty slow recharge but the recharge speed is increased with damage done, maybe 5% per hit.
Honestly I'd do the same with mercy's damage boost but tie it to healing done and a really slow or even no passive recharge. So she can't just sit with damage up constantly and HAS to do healing to get it back, means you're not constantly pushing into an amped DPS and she needs to regain it during a team fight.
I feel like it'd be good to have a cooldown / duration on the orb, but have it refund some of its cooldown if a criteria is met. Long-ish cooldown but if the Discord target dies while it's on them, you get the cooldown refreshed, etc. Encourage using it for key moments and not just spamming it, give it a counterplay of backing off and waiting it out (which in turn makes Discord also valuable as a deterrent/zoning tool), that sort of thing.

I was able to get the Bap achievement near the end of OW1’s life. It was painful to get. The way I saw tips online of defense being the best option. The main reason for this is because in between rounds counts as a death in game by the achievement’s standards. I was able to obtain it on Dorado defense last point after going through 5 windows to get it. That achievement was painful and is actually impossible to get in OW2. There is no way people can get 4-5 windows in one life. To anyone who does, you have my respect

Yeah, that's why when I look at stats, I have to contextualize the hero they're playing. If I see a junk with 6000 damage and no kills "oh he's just spamming the hog" ... the widow only has 1000 damage but 5 kills, then something is going well there (usually - even if they're assisted body shots, that's at least something) . Sometimes I'll even see myself, I might have 5k damage with only one kill, my bastion isn't being effective enough and though I might have no deaths, once I die, I'll just ult from spawn and swap.
Discord orb should be placed on a ally, and their dmg should get boosted kinda like mercy's boost

For starters make the discord orb have set time limit and then a cooldown when used, cooldown slightly reduced on assists and more of a reduced cooldown if not reset on kills/majority of damage on a assist. This encourages fragging Zen rather then I exist so I have value Zen, add a cooldown to his kick boop it's annoying and give him something else if he falls too far from grace everybody says mobility but idk about that, something cool on the couch button since crouching is only used for lowering your hitbox on orb volleys.
They could make Zenyatta have 2 healing orbs instead of just one and nerfing the discord orb to only be able to nerf people that are not behind a wall.
This would make Discord orb force Zenyatta to be on high ground or on less on the backline, therefore being a more risky choice if you want 100% value.
Of course, they could also make discord orb last for less time, forcing Zen to keep using his skill.
So yeah, I also agree that Zen's discord orb is very annoying and unfun.

At most, zen’s disc orb should go lower to like 20% cause tanks are miserable with it. But removing it would be upsetting.
The difference is that while Mercy amps she can't do anything else. While Zen discords, he's not locked out of anything.

It's a combination, if you have like 1.8k damage and 400 healing through the window it counts

Zen is easy to kill but that dont mean you gonna reach zen all the time nor will it really change the fact that zen will just discord the tank every single time he appears.
@@theblackphoenix7410 any half decent flanker will erase Zen and then he’s completely out of the fight until he respawns
Not to mention his healing is so negligible that picking him basically means you’ve only got 1 other support with the ability to actually keep anyone alive
that stat one is real; i was playing ana, we had no dps to counter pharah so i was like 'fuck it, i'll do it myself'. i was killing her, sleeping tank, anti'ing the team and healing but because my healing isn't as high as everyone elses i have a tank that will just throw because they 'looked at the scoreboard and didn't have faith that i would keep them up'.
