    I really really like the easyness and the relaxed type of explaining. No exaggerated talking. Just a guy rigging a line and talking about, making mistakes and smooth music in the background. Thank you for that Alonso.

      Thank you for the kind comment Toni. I’m glad you enjoyed the rigging :)

    9:24 use a clove hitch or figure 8 on a bight to back the tail of the tag line up to the anchor and you don’t have to worry about losing all your progress if the the ascender failed

      Little by little is all it takes! Keep up with the ice and mobility on it

    9:07 pass the end of the rope comming out of the grigri into the carabiner of the ascension and you have an easy build pulley system.

      Many ways to skin the cat but yes you’re right. This is one of them :)

    11:05 do a stopper knot in the new rope after you put it into the pro traxxion. in case it would slip out, i locks the rope.

    Awesome video Alonso! Hey I was gonna buy a petzl traxion but noticed the specs say it’s for 8mm rope, but y’all used it with that 6mil? Just curious

      Thank you!!
      Yeah many people use them for smaller ropes. I’ve seen it used with 550 paracord even! Just double wrap it and it’s fine. I think the 8mm thing is more so if you’re using for life/death scenarios.

    Have Jose hold the hand ascender while you undo the knot.lol

    • @treenetweaves
      @treenetweaves  3 года назад +1

      That would work but the line is very heavy. Why have someone hold it when you can use a gri gri to do it for you? :)

    What's the link for the tag line?

    • @treenetweaves
      @treenetweaves  3 года назад

      It’s a Euro Death Knot (EDK) it comes over edges really nicely and tends to snag less than other knots. It’s the same knot many climbers use to join two ropes for rappelling.

      @@treenetweaves the tag line not the bend... but honestly I would always use a sheet bend there for big lines

      Is there a specific reason you prefer the sheet bend to connect taglines? I used to do this until I found that got stuck more often than not..
