Hi Espen beautiful and relaxing video to watch what a bonus the dear was, you seem to be quite at home with your Olympus gear your certainly getting some great shots. Until next time take care and stay safe my friend.
Fantastic. Having watched yours and trond westby video yesterday, it really is incredible how alert dear are and they just seem to nail your location with one look. Quality of photos from olympus looks great in this video. Nice one
I know! They're so sensitive to any noise or movements. The female I was working with could definitely sense that something was there, but by lying completely still and waiting her out she finally calmed down again and went back to feeding. Thank you :)
Love having a silent shutter now!! Weird at first, but when you see that no wildlife pays you any attention when pressing the shutter it makes it all worth it :)
@@EspenHelland Espen, totally agree. I can only shoot Silent Shutter in my area. Noise is a huge killer shutter slap just seems out of place in the forest !
The Gorse in flower was stunning and made a wonderful background to your images. You have found a nice location. In Australia we are in Autumn and are going into Winter soon, so it is great to see what is happening on your side of the world.
Same here I went out this morning and photographed some Reed Warblers in my home Town great to be out again. I recommend getting in a few videos before the next lock down.
Another great vlog Espen, i have learnt sooo much from you since i have been following your Channel, i am slowly getting use to the bird songs, with your help, but it is so hard to distinguish the chiffchaff from the willow warbler in site, but i will get there, thanks for showing my image at the end, very much appreciated 👍 have a great Sunday🍻🥂
@@chrismartin7594 I used to just use the noise reduction slider: Luminance in Lightroom. Wasn't very good, there's probably some nifty ways of doing a better job in Photoshop if you have that.
Good morning from Nova Scotia...I agree with Larry - up early, fresh brewed coffee and another great video - great start to the day. Thank you again for doing and posting these....as always Stay Well and Stay Safe!! Have a great week!
I have cardinals, house finches, thrasher, wren, blue jay, American Robin, and doves nesting in back yard. They get loud in mornings before sun comes up.
Hey Espen, Great video with lots of info and colorful flowers where you where. I find that when birds are flapping its wings or doing a lot of jittering during nesting they are trying to distract you away form the nest or young that may have fledged. It is also young bird that are asking to be fed in some cases as well. As always I am looking forward to your next video! Sayin' hey.... Greg
Thanks Greg, I looked it up and the male willow warbler will do this wing flapping as a display for the female. I saw them chasing each other in the trees after. Learn something out in nature everyday :)
If you use back button focus, you can quickly use the manual focus to find the branch and then often use auto from there. Changing the focus distance on the lens, using a more limited focus distance might help.
And what hide and camo net do you use where can I buy them from? Also do you use a stool I’m looking for a stool to sit on when I’m out photographing could you recommend me any?
All my hides etc are by Tragopan, they have a good chair as well that's low so quite suited for hide work. If you're looking for a lightweight chair to carry with you where ever, I would check out some of the three legged fold out chairs. tragopan-shop.com/en/e-shop/
Espen Helland Do you ever use manual focus or only autofocus? I mostly use manual focus on my nikon for bird photography beacuse it is more accurate. Is the manual focus good and accurate on olympus for bird photography?
I use manual focus only when my automatic fails, like when shooting through something or a small bird on a small branch. I'm really enjoying the manual focus on the Olympus, I have it setup so that I instantly see 5x closer when using manual focus and it also has a mode where the edges that are in focus will be highlighted.
Really enjoyed this vlog Espen. Great stuff my friend!
Thank you very much mate 👍 hope you’re doing well post Facebook 😉
The warbler shot at 9:41 was just perfect. Not to mention that roe deer. Wish we had those in my neck of the woods. Great stuff, Espen!
Thanks very much Brian!
Hi Espen. Another great video. Inspiring and informative as ever. Learning so much thanks. Robin from Suffolk. England
Good to hear it, thanks!
Cup of coffee and a new photo vlog, perfect start to a Sunday Morning! Cheers!
Thanks Larry :)
Indeed!
Thanks for the video Espen. Stay Well. What a blessing to have such a beautiful, bountiful place to go.
It really is! Thank you :)

Loved the video again it keeps me sane while I am isolating at home been one of the valuable ones

Beautiful shot👍👍👍👍

So true even without sound the lens flicker from your lens gives it away somethimes !

Very enjoyable and informative video, thanks for sharing

Nice relaxing video good to watch. 👌 keep it up and stay safe.
Hi quick question. With out using Topaz. How did you try and reduce the noise on your 7D mark 2?

@@EspenHelland I'm using DXO photolab 3. I was just wondering if there was any techniques before processing. But thank you.
Great info and vid! Appreciate you taking us long! 🍻

Been having the same problem identifying the Warblers this weekend. Great video
Thanks!

USA here I agree you can hardly film in the forest sometimes with all those song birds
Show-off ;) I'm well jealous of the colourful warblers you get in the US
@@EspenHelland LOL did not mean to be!

Good idea about the isolated branch but I can never focus on small branches like that on my 5D it always focuses on the background!
Yea makes the birds really pop !

Could you tell me the make of the trousers you have on please as I’m looking for a pair tactical style ones.
Fjallraven G1000, expensive, but some of the best!
Espen Helland thanks 👍🏻

Whitethroat rather than a garden warbler - at least the photo was a whitethroat but there may be garden warblers there too!
Yes I know, as I mentioned I didn't get a good photo of the garden warbler.
