Echoes on your live stream with OBS, is normally caused by capturing your audio twice: the source and your desktop sound.

OK, I will try this, but I do have to turn on my Mic in Audio somewhere, right? I had the settings right until recently, when I started using my bluetooth headphones, but they started acting weird, volume going up & down when using them, so I have been doing my Lives without the headphones. NOW, I have reverb/echo on the video I am watching. Where, which of the audio settings do I turn on to set up as my Yeti Mic? OR do I just turn them all off in settings and turn the mic on in the audio section under the video? I am trying to put it back like it was before and just can't get it right! Thanks!
Add your audio directly in the scene you want it to be in and not globally

Good morning, this relates to a question and request about audio. Computer audio settings, OBS "setup" and audio input source in a scene. In OBS, what is the heirarchy? In other words, when do I have to change audio in settings or specify on the computer defaults?
I personally never use the audio settings under OBS, I always add the needed audio to the given scene. This allows me to control all audio. Audio under OBS is global which can be problematic when you want to isolate any sound

Can you help. I have Nvidia echo and noice remover on, on my mic. Some reason it echos. But whenever I switch to the normal one without nvidia thing, it sounds normal again.

I have a HP X360 Laptop. How do I get disable mic on laptop to allow the mic on my audio interface Behringer Q501usb to record all sound?
You need to set the mic from your behringer USB to be the default mic. This is done under the sound system settings as input
I use the desktop for music and watching RUclips videos on stream so i can’t turn it off. I can I solve this echo issue

No it won't. I've been doing this in my streams for over 5 years without any issues

how about my issue. i use the desktop audio for singing the instrumental, then mic is also needed which is connected to a v8 mixer
You could add the instrumental as a media file instead of letting the desktop audio play it which would introduce your echo
@@AJaytheCEO but i wonder why this echo only comes out when i have a webcam on while singing live from obs but when i sing without webcam it doesnt have that echo sound coming from the desktop audio
Make sure the web cam audio is not set to play through your speaker

Yes
All you have to do is press mute on Desktop Audio. They’ll still be able to hear it also
My issue was is OBS studio won't record sound from my headset connected to ps5 controller
I did that and still have an echo.

I need to know more about how your audio is coming in and your setup. Are you doing everything with the game at the same time on the same system or are you using a separate system?

Well, I need to have two sources on. My mic, and my window capture
audio. And, I can't really manually switch off my mic manually all the
time. That would make the whole process very clunky. And, sometimes I
need them to be going at the same time so I can comment on a video. How
do I make it just cancel the window capture audio coming into the mic?
Because if I just use my mic, and depend on it to record what I am
playing on my screen, then the sound quality sucks.
The echo is because you are capturing your audio twice. Having a mic and desktop audio will work and would not require turning off your audio. Set all audio per scene and not globally to avoid the echo
@@AJaytheCEO Thank you for your help, but, changing that setting every time would be an extreme hassle. I would forget to do it half the time, and I would have to do it maybe10 times or more sometimes. There must be a better way.

Add an audio capture of the game and not everything from your computer ie the desktop audio globally

This is actually incorrect. You need to select what audio in each track. This is where you can see the check boxes for each track. 1, 2, 3, 4, etc... for each track. By default, they are ALL checked.
This is like putting duct tape on a busted wood drawer instead of going to the store and buying wood glue and clamping it to dry correctly.
The way you just demonstrated cut out any audio coming from the computer.

Then I would make sure my mic is not also being played that would cause the echo from your desktop audio or capture the specific desktop app's audio instead of all the audio
